  1. Steam numbers are generally not revealed, for whatever reason, but I do think it would boost it up a fair bit.
  2. Quite a few things in fact. It had far less bugs for one. I don't think I encoutered even half the problems in whole of Fallout 3 that New Vegas has in only one area. "Quite a few things. It had less bugs." ...is that all?
  3. Just bought over 4k bottle caps worth of ammo from the Gun Runners. Total of over 1000 rounds, divided into several types. I better not need ammo anymore, EVER.
  4. Hey guys, do any of you have this problem occasionally, mountains in the distance flickering? If so, anyone knows how to fix it? I'm enjoying the game a lot btw.
  5. Steam Cloud and Nvidia Driver issues. Anyone up for some more conspiracy disscusion Have yet to deal with any hickups with my Radeon HD 5770. What the **** is wrong with a 9800gt? Great card for the price honestly. Isn't it just an 8800 g92 with more compatibility issues? I love my 8800 gts g92. Has worked great for three years. Yeah, and isn't the 9800gt, like, the exact same thing? The only thing that changes is the name. I never heard anything about "compatibility issues".

  7. One could, of course, think that bugs that old should be seen to by now, but you're right, it's not overly fair. And I'm not a tech person so I'll just point my finger at Gamebryo. It's absolutely true they should have been fixed by now, but since even Bethesda failed to fix them before... it's just not right to pin those on Obsidian.
  8. Saw a young gecko hunting a radroach. I laughed. Other than that I'm kinda putting it aside until there's some kind of fix to the framerate issue. Make no mistake, it seems to be much better than Fallout 3 in pretty much every way, I thought. Also it's unfair that some reviews are blaming some bugs that were present since Oblivion on Obsidian.
  9. Per the manual linked above: Hotkeys In the inventory menu, define hotkeys by holding one of the number keys (except the 2 key, which is used to switch ammo types)... Oh, thanks. I wish it was "1", though. Would have made been better imo. Also I just figured out the game performs exactly the same here (20-30fps, single digit during larger battles) with or without AA at 4x. Delightful. Also, water multisampling on low didn't really do anything.
  10. Nvidia cards have problems. Try to turn the water multisampling down. Alright, thanks. I'll try it. Also, "2" can't be used as a hotkey for weapons, can't for the life of me figure out why. Am I missing something really?
  11. Didn't leave Goodsprings yet, did the Ringo quest with the battle in the end, however the game stuttered BADLY during that battle, which is pretty sad, especially considering it was just about 10 NPCs together at that time. Worries me. I have a 8800gt, surely it was supposed to be running better than this? Other than that it's great. I really like it so far. Playing on Very Hard + Hardcore.
  12. heh I know the feeling, it wears off fast, though Does it?
  13. That's because it is almost compoletely unremarkable. Hopefully the second game will improve on that, and there is no reason not to, since they're taking out the b00bies.
  14. When you look at it, it at first sounds a bit ridiculous, but then the article says they were selling the trainers... so I dunno...
  15. I shall now redeem myself from the terrible crime I committed on my previous post. I think this is pretty nice.
  16. Oh you guys... Why does it have be GAME music? I'm dying to post something else... SCREW IT. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q74d0BRGQ0 If you don't like it you can go to the deepest bowels of hell.
  17. WHAT THE ****
  18. PRE-LOADING ON STEAM NOW AVAILABLE.
  19. Apparently it's being played on a console there. Can you guys give us any info regarding the PC version? Any at all? Like, how tactical it's going to be in comparison to the console versions? (Like how the PC version of DAO was very different from the console versions). Although I know the focus is the console audience...
  20. Anonymous e-mail arrives from Valve, Fart Cops revealed.
  21. I just preordered the regular one, since I don't care what comes with the game. I just want the game, nothing more.
  22. What's wrong with Commandos 3? I never played it, btw. I know what's wrong with Strike Force however... oh yes, I do...
  23. It's done. I pre-ordered it. WOOOOOOOOooooooOO!
  24. Source. Well... interesting I guess?
  25. That's the justification given by blizz. I can see both sides of this. One side is that Blizz is trying to keep their program intact, and have the ability to monitor what's going on with their programming at all times, so they use this ability to prevent things like external programs cheating, or possible piracy. On the other side is the "Well, it's mine, and I'm not playing with anyone so WTF MATE!?" Which is understandable. You buy something, you expect that that something is going to stay yours for the duration and you're allowed to modify it without repercussions by the creator. I personally am wondering if there is any precedent for this over at Valve/steam, as they have some pretty interesting measures for cheating (that also are significantly worse than Blizz in some respects as you loose your entire library). If there isn't there may be grounds to justify a "wtf mate" moment, and if you're banned the possibility of lawsuit as you purchased the product, not "forever renting" it (but you'd have to check the EULA). If the EULA doesn't specify otherwise and you got perma-banned for something like this, I think that (in theory) you could sue them for stolen property as they "stole" what you purchased from them by denying you use of it and keeping your money. Correction, you won't lose your entire library for cheating. First of all, to be VAC banned, you need to be playing a Steamworks game, games from other companies do not apply. Then if you are indeed VAC banned, you can no longer play *games that use Steamworks* online. All the others, such as Borderlands for example, remain intact. It's also worth noting that you are in fact not forced to be online for Starcraft 2. Offline mode exists, in which you can install whatever trainers you want. It disables achievements however. All these people wanted to do was grind for achievements and get the in game rewards.
