...was it good? I stopped playing Borderlands for now. I blame Fallout. Been playing Fallout 1 and 2 nonstop since about last week, haven't played anything else for days. Feels nice. Finished FO last night. Starting FO2 tonight.

Gameplay teaser
Hey bros please no more slow mo on trailers and such please please please No really

Gameplay teaser
The actual gameplay sequences look smooth, so I'm not too worried I suppose.

The slow mo thing isn't even valid criticism, I mean... it's just a trailer. So I wouldn't call this a "barrage of criticism". No criticism of the game itself so far. I call this a success.

Yeah, but you know. Slow-mo is all the rage this days. It just has to be done, for everything. But why if it looks so bad? I mean, it's even more jarring since the proper combat gameplay is so fluid! No one knows.

It's just fine, graphics side. Not a fan of slow mo but that's not a real complaint. So I guess, from what I've seen so far, it's pretty great...

Fallout: New Vegas
I don't know if this has been asked/answered before, but how did you guys do difficulty scaling (between normal and very hard, for example) in NV? Bullet sponges again? Drop rates? Merchant prices?

I really want to play this eventually. But for now, playing MotB along with Borderlands. I'm disappointed Act I ended rather quickly, certainly much, much shorter than I expected, which is a shame.

What's wrong with them? I enjoyed that stuff.

Fallout: New Vegas
They must have played another Fallout 3. Mine didn't have superb storytelling at all. Mine didn't come with superb storytelling either. Damn those press people, they get all the perks.

Yeah but Playthrough 1 is too easy Honestly I always thought Borderlands was pretty damn easy, I never had too much trouble with it, especially considering the (green) weapon I found was overpowered the whole way through Playthrough 1. It's a revolver that does 83 x 7 dmg, and critical hits do up to 1200 dmg. Rendered all my other weapons useless (including the orange ones), made the game laughably easy. And yes I'm playing alone ;_; But I enjoy it anyway. However it seems Playthrough 2 is indeed much harder and it might even render my mighty revolver useless eventually! And I think I really will do all DLC on playthrough 2, including the Secret Armory. I only heard good things about it, so I can't wait! Glad to hear it's very difficult. :D Dr. Ned looks really really good too, so I'll do it first. I might even do Moxxi later, can't be that bad. And yeah, I've been reading about the incoming DLC and it does sound very good indeed. I've always been very much against DLC but I get so needy of new stuff sometimes

I heard the Secret Armory is by far the best DLC. I've yet to play any of them though, got them in the recent Steam sale. I'm going through playthrough 2 right now, and my character is still in Fyrestone, so it'll be a while until I can play the DLC I think.

Fallout: New Vegas
I just thought that if the way to avoid the more serious penalties is to take off the armor then it just becomes a matter of... uh, when to take it off and when to put it back on, and there's nothing else to it other than that. Just sounds pretty wrong to me.
-
Fallout: New Vegas
Why would it not be? You get movement penalties wearing armor because they weight down your limbs (and torso), not because you lug them around tied to your back. But but but... traveling without armor on isn't wise... and well, fast travel offers no risks... you know what I mean?
-
Fallout: New Vegas
Does how much you're carrying make a difference, too? I mean, just as I said, if that's not the case then it's just a matter of taking off the armor, lol. Errr.... yeah.
-
Fallout: New Vegas
I hope taking the armor off is not the way to avoid fast travel trouble on hardcore. :S

Fallout: New Vegas
I'm broke so I have to wait till October for that at least
