  1. My first that I remember was a S3 Trio 64V+ 4MB, that I had for years, it was later paired with 1 Voodoo 2, before I upgraded to a TNT2 Ultra. Still kept the Voodoo card in though. Tried a Geforce 2, it didn't work, and I didn't upgrade until I got an X800, then a HD 5850, followed by 7970, followed by Vega 64. Now, for the first time in decades I'm going with nvidia.
  2. Yeah, it's not that bad tho', playing with a Vega 64, the 3080 ain't gon' be no problem
  3. When I learned about Saami genocide? 24. When I learned about Scanian genocide? 24. When I learned about Swedish slave trade? Not thralls in the viking age, that was in 5th grade or so, but african slave trade and Saint Barthélemy? 24. Things that the Swedish schools didn't teach me, there was a documentary in 2009 that brought up things not taught in Swedish schools
  4. Your Vega draws 210 stock? Mine's a bit over 300 Yeah, nvidia does have a crown to defend so I'm not surprised they pushed it so hard. What with being stuck on 10nm they'd have to do something, so massive dies and massive wattage.
  5. I'm very happy that I've got some really nice perks from my job when it comes to costs, first the medicine is cheap since it's ubiquitus, and my employer pays for any medication that you have to pay for aslong as it is on a prescription (So... basically, not paracetamol, ibumetin or aspirin unless you need mega doses, they come with a prescription). So... my employer paid for my morphine; because I thought it was funny, and my felodipine, candesartan and spironolactone. I did go to the apothecary and by a new BP machine, since my father destroyed mine in his constant efforts to "make it better", and it's way, way, waaay off. My real BP at the moment is 150-160 over 100, and the new machine shows 90/50... I was measured around the bicep by the personell at the apothecaries, and they told me the old one was to small. The one I used before. Should've listened to myself. That would be a feat! I'm glad that you got it under control though
  6. I'm not one for advocating murder. But someone should shoot the people. Jesting aside, I wish they'd take some kind of action against these things.
  7. Yeah, I think it's somewhere around 15% faster in 1080p. You just hit a CPU bottleneck. Aaanywho, put in an order for an ASUS one to arrive in early November.
  8. It's been a long time since I was at school and such, but I don't remember the "Vikings" being described as blonde burly men as much as I remember the romanticists describing them like that. The material I remember reading did point out that vikings "imported" alot of foreign people here though, so it would follow that they would look mixed. Except the more northwestern people that is that didn't have readily available coastal access. Then again, I read/watched Asterix alot, so when I think of the traditional viking look I generally think Asterix anyway.
  9. I've a really hard time to remember if I've taken my meds or not. If I really can't remember I just take my spironolactone which is damn near impossible to overdose. If I feel "normal" the day after, full with energy, I know that I've forgotten to take the meds. Also, I'm very annoyed that one of the three medicines I've got comes in charts of 15*7, so 105 to a box. The others? 10*10... That. Really. I mean, really. Annoys me.
  10. I was at work when the release was set due to an emergency call-in since a colleague was sick. So I tried using the work pc to order, I wasn't trying to get a FE card though, just an AIB board. ... The potato PC couldn't handle the shopping page, logged me out a few times for good measure aswell. -.- Kek. The 1.9 performance per watt thing they did was really a bad comparison aswell... They did write pretty clearly, up to 2X performance in 4K from what I remember, 1080p was basically never mentioned from what I remember. We're already mostly CPU limited at 1080p anyway, so it's almost irrelevant to compare performance there. I'm actually thankful for my Vega 64, it didn't really make me think about the power consumption from the 3080. It's the same ballpark really.
  11. Never had Absolut? =P
  12. I'll be honest, I'm glad I can't work from home. Well, until they ask me to have a workday doing traffic stuff, and I have to go from my lovely mechanical keyboard to some POS 10$ keyboard...
  13. Hehe, I've got a car from 1998 built with 80's tech, so it's simplistic enough. The most advanced thing in it is probably the climate control. I'm mean... it's a true blood Volvo. It's quite true about troubleshooting generally though. My insurance covers a rental for me, I went to work in it once and then turned it back in and just used my volvo 240. That rental frustrated me to no end.
  14. I can sleep when I'm dead.
  15. I don't trust "certified" mechanics. I've taken good care of my car, when I got it it had only been serviced in Volvo certified shops. 1. I had to fix two of the spark plug holes, because the thread was damaged. 2. The oil pan plugs threads were damaged. It looks like they used an impact wrench. 3. The bolts for the engine head was not tentioned properly (Which was the cause for the first gasket to fail) And the threads in one of the bolt holes were damaged from overtensioning. 4. Instead of changing the relay for the electric fan for the cooler, they bypassed the low rpm mode, so it was either off, or 100% on. 1.5$ cost to replace, takes 30 seconds. Literally, thirty seconds. When I turned the car in for some insurance work because a badger had decided to kamikaze my cooler and spoiler, they changed my brand spanking new cooler for a cooler with 260.000, maybe +, kilometers on it. "We couldn't find a new one". What a load of horse hockey. They claimed to have "welded" the spoiler together again, because they couldn't find a replacement, but had only painted over the cracks. The skidplate and diffuser wasn't attached with bolts, but MOTHER****ING ZIPTIES!! I even use a torque wrench to tension my wheel lugs. Edit; Going back to driving my Volvo 240 in original condition was not fun, We managed to get the engine back in it in a couple of hours, but damn was it stressful. I've been driving with sports suspension and gotten accustomed used to it, so driving without it almost made me seasick.
  16. I'm going to be looking at getting a 1 ccx cpu, similar to the 3700.
  17. Mmm... this day starts well. Went out to the car to go get the alignment done. Turn the start key, engine turns one revolution and dead stops. "****", try again, one rev, dead stop - hydrolock. Third time's the charm, and it starts, go to the tyre shop. "Sorry, the alignment machine is dead". Not entirely bad, saves me some money to change the headgasket. But still... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!
  18. Daaaamn, that definetly looks apocalyptic... Thank you though! I've never seen anything like that
  19. Pics? Purdy please?
  20. I'm not holding my breath really when it comes to RDNA2s performance, Igorslab.de predicts between 3070 and 3080. What is most depressing to me is the time of their "release" and the fact it usually takes a couple of months for board partners to produce their own cards from reference material and such, and as of right now, no AIB has recieved a Navi card to build for. Which means that it's likely only AMD reference cards will be available, and.. well AMD has never produced a good reference cooler, so to get a Big Navi with good cooling I'd have to wait until 2021 to build a new rig, and I ain't got no patience for that. I've got vacation coming up for CP2077, so it seems my first nvidia card since the TNT2 is a go. I'm kind of sad about that.
  21. It's a bit embarrassing, but there were about 300 bottles of Trinidad TDL shipped to Sweden, and I, almost completely by myself, has consumed 2% of the entire Swedish stock of it
  22. I noticed that post just as I arrived at work, I couldn't log on at work and post myself, so I was hoping for someone to reference it, and I was not dissapointed!
  23. It's not the right thread for it, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Compagne des Indes Trinidad TDL
