Knew you'd catch it if you watched it, she's quite distinctive

You mean a stove or a furnace? I thought the furnaces didn't work without power for the fans and whatnot

My familys house is of "cultural significance" because it's old, so I'm not allowed to put up solar panels. Or triple glass windows. And they would really like us to dismount the heat pumps. And preferably also remove the stairway to the upper floor, because it wasn't there 120 years ago. One of the windows broke a few years ago, and we can't find any "wavy glass" that the municipality requires us to get, so we stapled some building plastic and then screwed a plywood piece ontop of it. Least drafty "window" in the house

Thomas Winkler is back! It's a shame he got kicked out of Gloryhammer, but I'm hoping this goes well for him

If there wasn't 18000km I'd offer my Vega 64 =(

I wish. One of my colleagues has the day off to work the nightshift, and the other one is just a lazy, no good, ****. Typically I need 3 minutes per move I have to do with a few exceptions, so I can move about 20 trailers/containers per hour, he does five, tops, so his presence isn't noticeable. Me and my colleague typically carry for him. To be completely honest, if he hadn't been there at all I'd have been sort of fine with it, instead I get furious with him. Atleast one of my colleagues that was supposed to handle traffic came out and helped out as much as he could. I owe him some cinnamon buns at the very least.

I've got to do work for 3 people today. 's gonna be fun...

Yeah, the new layout burns my eyes. I might actually start using the Swedish version because it still uses the old layout for now.

Damn, Will Ramos is pretty impressive, looks incredibly relaxed during this!

You really ought to read through their statement again, it's as much of a "**** you wotc" as you can give without breaking a no disparagement agreement. I don't know the truth of the statement since I don't watch critical role, but they've even changed terminology to ones not found in dnd. It doesn't really matter that they managed to do an 11 million kickstarter years ago, they've probably used up alot of that money, and what is left likely isn't enough to go up in a legal battle against a billion dollar company.
-
I would love to see them set Critical Role on fire, it'd be awesome, but the suit that'd follow would ruin the lives of the people behind it. They prerecord from what I know, and it's likely they have a deal that forces them to read those ads. I don't know if there is any contractual clause that would forbid them from encouraging people to unsub/not watch their content, but that'd also likely be shooting themselves in the foot. We'll know if they release any new books and see if it says OGL 2.0 in the back, or Orc.
-
If you want something entertaining to listen to in the background, I recommend If the emperor had a text to speech device! Warning; Very foul language;
-
It's about as much as one can expect since they're probably contractually bound and/or under NDAs Edit; Or rather a non disparagement clause.
-
Legal Eagles take on the OGL 1.1 for anyone interested; Even if you're not particularly interested, it's eyecandy

I'm a bit worried that people might read that and think it's over, which unfortunately some people near me have taken it as. Might be more wishful thinking on their part because they're invested. WotC aren't going to change their minds on gouging out the community, they're just going to word it better. It's so annoyingly transparent. That letter was unbelievably condecending to read through aswell, and I'm more invested in 2d20 than D20...

Holy hell, seems they are backpedalbull****ting https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/1423-an-update-on-the-open-game-license-ogl Just to be clear, the previous leaks of the nuOGL wasn't from "drafts" they were from contracts sent to creators. Don't eat their bull****. Edit; And just to be extra clear, they're not actually backpedaling, they are still trying to quote unquote deauthorize ogl 1.0a.
-
Sure, but WotC is near half of Hasbros revenue, and from reliable sources they are staring hard at those sub numbers, so I think it could be more than one thinks. Theres a cost to get a recurring customer, it takes time for them to get the costs back from actually getting someone in through the door, so people cancelling their subscriptions is a real good way to get them to **** their pants over there If anyone has 2.5 hours to spare, you can watch the rest of that interview with Ryan Dancey.
-
I genuinely hope that people will move over to ORC Edit; Also, holy ****ing hell, DnD beyond removed the subscription link from the mainpage XD
-
-
I should have said page Edit; Atleast I managed to access the support page to delete my account, so there's that
-
Haha, theres a run for D&D beyond subscription cancelling right now, I can't even access the site to cancel my account, nor can I access their site where their account removal email is XD

I don't have anything in print about it, but it was related by Ryan Dancey on a vodcast I saw yesterday, unless I really missunderstood him. It wasn't until they released the OGL that people actually started using dnd and really showing interest through things like the offshoots. Things dipped a bit when they tried and failed to replace the OGL with the release of 4e and GSL, which failed so spectacularly that we got Pathfinder. Things took a big upturn with 5e again though and them returning to the OGL, and their overall earnings reflect this. From what he said the reason why this is happening now is that someone realized that wotc was the majority of hasbros income, the earnings calls that has been made up until recently has only had people asking about things like GI joe and such until someone finally brought up wotc. Which would explain why noone has tried this earlier.
-
Heh, since the ogl basically saved wotc from the brink of ruin and grew to be 50% of Hasbros revenue I'd say it'd be easy to suggest just that That said, I do hope the wither from this, alot of the subcontractors have announced that they are leaving, some are going to get the blackjack and hookers and such.
-
Yeah, basically. It'll be interesting to see if anyone takes them to court over it. Doubt anyone has that kind of cashflow besides maybe Paizo though. I know how you feel, I've felt the same way about observations I've made myself about things. Does it matter though that such language (As some have said) wasn't in use at that time? And does it matter that the author of the original document has gone on video saying that that was the intent behind it? Haha, yeah, anything can fly if it makes for a great story in my eyes Though in hindsight, it was a mistake to let the Shadowrun mage enchant rubber balls with fireballs... But was funny at the time!
