And finally Fallout New Vegas is mine.

The song isn't about a "troll" per se, in old Swedish it could just aswell be "trollkvinnan från bergen" or "The Witch from the mountain", there is also a theory that the woman was under a curse to look like a troll, hence the shaking and shrieking when he refuses to betrothe himself to her and complaining that he won't release her from her torment. Also, it's about a squire most likely and/or virgin since that is what "sven" is usually used as. Also, the viking age was 800+ years ago by now. As a viking descendant you ought to know this, because this song his made after the christianization of Scandinavia.

Don't know your preferences, but I find Barcelo Gran Anejo quite good. Speaking of, this last weekend me and my friends celebrated a holiday and my birthday, so we ended up drinking a bit. From Thursday to Saturday, though only about ten beers a day on thursday and friday, we stepped up our game on saturday and went for the booze, he had a bottle of Ileach and his girlfriend had a bottle of her own, I had a bottle of Barcelo. They got emptied. I think my friends have a slight hatred towards me after sunday, they both had hangovers from hell and I was perfectly fine and couldn't stop pointing it out.

To me, 1800x is far too much premium cash wise for too little benefit unless there's no plan to overclock or for workstation situations where the competition is Broadwell-E. The overclock ceiling on it vs the 1700 is only 200Mhz difference, and you pay nearly 1USD/ hz for that. That's also why I personally wouldn't consider watercooling either, unless sound is an issue. You might eke an extra 100Mhz or two on top of Wraith Spire but again that's at a hefty cost relative to benefit. I am very much concerned with getting the best longevity/ cost/ performance balance though, so I tend to see everything through that lens. Yeah, the price hike is pretty damn big, but it would save me the headache of silicone lottery. I've got both a processor and GPU that won't accept even the smallest of overclocks. I've always had bad luck. The water cooling is 99% because I don't want any extra weight hanging on the motherboard. I live in an old house and the floor sways when you do something like close a door, so if I can get something that doesn't have an high offset that leverages the weight I'll go for it. I'm considering getting a waterblock for the gpu aswell but I don't think that I would save as much weight on that and that I have ALOT of lego. I usually try to balance a build aswell, I just wish inet could get a decent b350 motherboard in stock with 3200 support.

That's an awesome version of Herr Mannelig, it's a really sad song though which doesn't carry aswell in their style, but damn is it good.

I'm a bit torn as to wether I should pick up an Ryzen 7 1700 or an 1800X while I'm at it, and wether I should/could go for an Fractal Design Celsius S36 or S24 cooler. I'll pick up a new graphics card when AMD releases their new ones. My HD7970 is still quite capable. https://www.inet.se/kundvagn/bild/10428302/ The X370 motherboard is by necessity since the store doesn't have any 350 motherboards that are worth it.

I haven't met many girls I've an interest in, most times I lose interest after talking with them for a while, and the exceptions typically have girlfriends. The last one was a blue haired french girl I met at work a while ago that wants to become a game designer, but she got herself a girlfriend now. C'est la vie. I'm at my friends house, been playing pnp, drinking beer and booze and playing some more pnp. Good times, I don't enjoy the inflatable mattress that I sleep on, but I'd suffer much for what it allows me to otherwise enjoy. We've been going through more of Storm kings thunder, the paladin player that died made a new character, a much more interesting one; a Harper arcane trickster rogue. His former character was really awkward having around. More of that tonight, and a rare turn up for our barbarian. Luckily the adventure isn't based on exp so he's getting bumped up to level nine right away, so he won't be a dead weight. Literally. Not that that would be much of a problem, we've got two bags of holding wich we for some reason always end up filling with dead bodies. Our group is too kind for our own good, we found an adamantium full plate armour (Wich is worth a filthy amount of gold) with a dead dwarf inside. We decided to bring her corpse along for the ride and used a priest to talk to the dead spirit which wished for her body and possessions to be returned to her family. Doh! What did the family give us to show their thanks? Boots of Levitation. :| We're going sailing tonight though, so atleast I might get some use of the Cloak of the Manta Ray that I've got...

My coworkers actually manage to make me feel old, not because of physique or anything like that, no. It's their mindset; They just do things and never think the consequences through, they never analyze problems, they don't plan ahead and most of all; They don't know how to say no. Which is being exploited by others at my workplace, and it frustrates me. When people want things they call for them by name, trying to circumvent me since they know I will have none of it if we don't have time, while they will say yes. It's fun to tear those people trying to go around me a new one over the radio though.

Thanks everyone! =) Happy Birthday! You're old enough to know how to do things and young enough to still be able to do them all! The best age! Thursday is a holiday, and my boss managed to get me the best present one can give an employee; Vacation on short notice. :D Going to use it to go consume some booze, beer and burgers with my buddies!

And so, just about every cyberpunk novel comes one step closer to reality. Goddamn megacorps.

The Red Alert games had some pretty epic soundtracks, while Hell March is my favourite, this one is pretty damn good aswell.

I really need to put Memento mori on my mp3 for work, it's amazing. Now that I have different requirements for tempo and speed I can add some more varied songs than ones that pump up my pulse.

Drove to town today to play PnP with my friends, it was about 27C according to my cars thermometer, and guess what broke off in my car? The tensioning bolt for my AC. Luckily, I had bought an extra spare part that I kept in my glove compartment together with a 10mm and a 12mm wrench so that I could fix it. I knew that Murphy would hit me and that I'd need spares, so I bought them. I'm just that damn clever. I'm pretty pleased with myself, can you tell? And we managed to complete two sections in the campaign wich netted us two levels in one evening. Then again, we'd gone 4-5 evenings without a single level since the adventure isn't built around experience points but "At this section the PC's get a level".

My pleasure.

Malukah's piano cover was really, really nice though. Sharm did a really nice performance of it too, not really a cover though.

I will admit that I don't get how having geometric shapes would help make any situation like that better, you would still end up with thresholds wouldn't you? It would just mean that you'd have to have "great" luck instead of 7 to get those random encounters. On the crit chance vs crit damage, after raiding in WoW where they had both, I'd have to say I really never thought about the increased crit damage as much as I noticed the increase in crit chance. Going from 10% to 20% crit chance was really noticeable, but my strikes going from ~5k to 5.5k wasn't really worth noticing. I'm weird I guess.
