Yeah, perhaps we should perfect "democracy" over here before attempting to export it. But dem mad profits tho. It's interesting how people have been tricked into voting against their own collective interests. Are you familiar with Owen Jones? Yeah, I think a lot of people are starting to realise that we don't have a real democracy, at least not anymore. More an oligarchy. Not familiar with Owen Jones, but I do find it interesting how people have been voting against themselves across the world. Here many people kept on voting for New Labour because "we always voted Labour because they are the party of the working class like me" despite it being so obvious that Blair had changed it into something completely different.

Exactly! That is the system we chose and continue to chose it so we are responsible for it. Also don't think that it's only about Iraq. My country also holds a grudge for what you did to us in WW2, 1990 and 1999. In my region, there isn't a single country in which the people would not wish harm upon each other in hopes that it would somehow make it's own situation better. Croatia is getting military equipment (from the West (US I think)) that can be converted to a range where they can launch missiles at us (Serbia) and they are licking their lips about it. Apart from that they are constantly look for a way to trip us up. Albania is looking for any way it can to destabilize the region around it and annex Kosovo to it's borders. Macedonia is fighting a battle with it's own people because it's Muslim population has gotten so high it's influence can now cause a civil war and it's changing one puppet regime for another. Bosnia has Muslim terrorist training camps in it that are operating unchecked and the country it self is falling apart because the system that is in place is unable to do anything about that. Bulgaria is just falling apart economically, because the west won't help and they can't look to the east for fear of economic reprisal from said west. Hungary is pissed at us for letting immigrants through even though they would have probably condemned us as monsters with the rest of the world for not helping them otherwise. I won't even go in to the past conflicts and misdeeds, because that would need and essay to explain and would include the whole of Europe. Indeed, though I don't think anyone chose it, most were just born into it and through upbringing, indoctrination, and lack of agency end up with no choice. It's like a train on autopilot now, self-perpetuating with us trapped within it mostly unaware that we are trapped. And people are right to feel angry at those who have hurt their families or oppressed them, it's just that quite often the other person was also oppressed too and was getting revenge, creating a cycle. What could a person do when everyone else is too heavily invested in the status quo to risk changing it even if they were aware of it, and what would we change it to even if we could? I personally await out robot overlords to rise up and take over, they couldn't do any worse. All Hail Skynet!!! Vote HAL 9000 for a free tomorrow (from humans).

It's the means by which some people cope with the lack of agency in their life by making themselves believe that those who suffer "had it coming". I can understand it, but unfortunately those in power benefit the most from it. See if the people your government oppressed care when they come knocking. Most of the people in my country didn't even vote for the current party in power (they had 24% of the vote but got over 50% of the seats), there was an outcry against bombing Syria that ended up preventing the current government from doing so, and were lied to by Mr Blair about Iraq (who most people want arrested for war crimes now), but you are right they won't care when they come knocking just as those your government have oppressed won't care either when they come knocking for you. The only people who won't suffer from all this is the very people responsible for it all, it'll be the schmucks like you and me that pay the price.

Conflict and holding a grudge is human nature. Every person would like to see bad things happen to their enemies instead of themselves, very rarely will you encounter a saint that is willing to sacrifice himself. Democracy is the world you live in and in democracy the people are responsible for what their government does. So yeah, there are no innocent people, inaction it self is crime in the eyes of those who are suffering. Don't like it, well though titties. You keep telling yourself that, it won't make it any more true but if it makes you feel good about yourself then more power to you.

Peace is an ideal, war is fact. Enjoy what you have and what you can and make sure that those around know how to protect themselves. Hopefully space exploration, fusion energy and alike will kick off soon so that humanity can be scattered and not be vulnarable with a total war in one place. I'm just more disappointed in the people in this thread gloating over invading countries and stuff. I expect it from governments, corporations, generals, etc, and I expect people to have bought into their respective propaganda and to be thinking that so-and-so has been attacking them but not this. Guess I still had some faith in humanity left, that was surprising and foolish of me, corrected that now. Just to clear what do you mean by " gloating over invading countries and stuff " What countries are you referring to if you don't mind sharing Just the tone of the conversation here sometimes, people seem rather keen for other countries to be invaded and talking about how so and so should be nuked, probably on my time of the month or something but it just bothers me more than usual how callously people seem to be when talking about the deaths of thousands. Well in Turkey it's thought that everything that was once a part of the Ottoman Empire is still rightfully theirs, that tells a lot to what their disposition would be in the case of them being left unchecked. Those Innocent people would not lift a finger or say a word in defense of the countries that would be attacked, more than likely they that would cheer. And that depresses me. That people around the world just seem so happy to see people dead despite never having done anything. They demonise the people in countries they think should belong to them, you demonise them as all being like that and 'needing to be killed', Russians and Americans demonise each other for political gains that the average member of both won't even benefit from, Christians demonise abortionists, Athiests demonise religions. And you all use it as an excuse to burn and murder people who you never met and who had no power over the things that happen just as we all have no power over what is really going on here. And it's not even done with a heavy heart, it's done with glee, happy to burn and kill those heretic children. Well, sod you humanity, I'm done!

Lots of calls for invasions and nukings that will kill thousands more innocent people who had nothing to do with anything. Hope their deaths make your ****-waving worth it guys.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Greedo wasn't even going to hand him over alive to Jabba, it was pretty clear Greedo was intending to kill Han right there and then, so definitely not cold blooded to shoot first. Cold blood would have been Greedo just sat there enjoying a cool beer, and Han just wanders in, see's him sat there and grabs the green ****er, garrotting him from behind while shouting "Die you green bastard!" -
Do you want Alpha Protocol 2?

Omega Procedure, starring Thor Miketon as he takes on the insidious Helltech Corporation in order to stop them starting a World War! Also starring Tina as his handler, the crazed Belgium agent PIE, Vulture and his deaf bodyguard Sorority, and Lelou as the head of the cororation! -
Regardless of what happened between the jets in this incident, neither side can really back down. Both sides are testing the other's resolve and power now, and relenting or admitting guilt on either side will be seen as weakness by the other that will be exploited. All the governments around the world are watching this, not to find out who is right or wrong but who to side up with for future conflicts.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Alright...but all Sith are Sith wannabe to think about it...because there was the True Sith...if there is True Sith, then all other Sith are Sith wannabes Kylo Ren is a member of the Knights of Ren, they weren't taught by a Sith Master as far as we have been told and are pretty much a group of Darth Vader fanboys. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Knights_of_Ren Let me guess...Disney character? I don't catch up with Star Wars universe anymore, there are too many things, and none make any sense. Knights of Ren sound soo cartoonish, why not just called it Sith, and that's fine by me What do you mean Disney character? As Star Wars is owned by Disney they are all Disney characters now. Honestly, Sith sounds just as cartoonish and as the other link and the other quotes show (that you seem to have ignored) they are specifically not intended to be Sith but a different faction that considers itself the successor to them. -

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Nah, that was Kylo Ren who has been confirmed as being played by someone other than Mark Hamil (and isn't actually a Sith, but more a Sith-wannabe), who is reprising the role of Luke. Luke is supposedly not got a big role in this one, with the plan being that he will have a larger one in the next one. I kinda get the feeling this one is essentially "The Search for Spock, I mean Luke". -
Well, as usual those who pay for this or that action are usually the innocents, never the ones responsible. Many more innocents are due to die before this is due to finish.

We shouldn't even trade. It's because of business interests that we have gotten so involved in the situation in the first place. And trade interferes with the area, propping up rulers and supplying them. Hard not to trade given the oil in that region. And that's why we are all fighting over that place. On the point that some people are making that the Middle-East has never known democracy and that it is alien to them: Iran used to be a secular democracy, that was very progressive and was quite enlightened. Then they made a heinous mistake, they tried to nationalise their oil. Us (my British government I'm sad to say) went "Nu uh!" and sponsored a coup to replace this government with the current nutjob one, the one we now all hate. The Iranians naturally now hate us for that, as one of their wistful thoughts is "What could have been..." All because "The Oil Must Flow!"

Look this may seem severe but its not ...no one said there wouldn't be any issues We have about 1300 cases of rape in South Africa per day...yes per day So I'm sure this tragedy will be appropriately dealt with in Finland But yes I'm sorry for what happened ...sometimes I forget most people aren't desensitized to crime like us But I have to ask...is a single case of rape such a big deal? I think he was trying to point out that the actions of one or two people does not reflect the beliefs or opinions of an entire group to Qistina.

Nah. its a war zone and accidents happen ...Russia knows this It was no accident... Nothing is accident.... Turkey should sent escort IF Russian plane get into their border, why shot on first sight? Because Turkey does not want Russia bombing the rebel groups in Syria. They alerted the Russian plane to turn back and they could not let it continue the mission without becoming complicit in it, so it was either back down and let Russia use Turkey airspace as they wished or shoot it down. I'm sure if the situation was reversed Russia would have done the same thing.

Well, this is escalating quickly. Ladies and gentlemen, in case I don't get the chance to say this before armagheddon hits, let me just saythat it was a jolly good pleasure knowing you all, and should any of us survive as radioactive mutants then you are all welcome for a cup of tea and natter about those filthy, rich elites who got us into this mess and got to ride it out in high-tech bunkers. Tally ho and all that.

Yes, I think it is getting to that point. Love that scene!

What I really want is a game with the Imperial Knights http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Knight. Way cooler- grey Jedi warrior empire, essentially. Then, you could play Jedi, Sith, or an Imperial Knight. I want a game where those factions exist, and maybe you start in the Imperial Knights, but the Jedi and Sith start trying to "recruit" you as you gain power and fame.Once you get past a certain point, if you don't switch alliances, they begin to target you as an enemy Let Imperial Knights use light and dark side without penalties, while Jedi o Sith would have "stronger" respective powers like in Kotor. But, give the Knights some cool higher level abilities the others don't have. You could even have "fallen Jedi", which don't belong to any faction, but pursue their own interests. If Jedi encounter them, they try to arrest/detain them. Sith try to recruit or kill them. Imperial Knights don't care about them one way or another. I do think the Imperial Knights would be a better and more interesting faction to play as. They both lend to heroic adventures and to questionable behaviour.
