  1. A producer leaves another returns. Todd Morgan who has worked from december 2011 to the march layoffs in 2012 on South Park at Obsidian has started working again at Obsidian as of december 2013. 21 years in the industry he has also worked back at Interplay doing production and QA work for titles like MDK2. Great to have you back!
  2. The only problem I could see is setting a game during that time period and then pretending females weren't treated that differently is kind of spitting in the face of the whole fight for equality that happened in the centuries since then. Downplaying the horrors of history can be offensive in itself. It's certainly a complicated/interesting question.
  3. I'm pretty sure you are going to get all your companioms early, so no on that last one.
  4. Again we have no idea why Alvin left. I don't think speculating does any good here.
  5. We have no info on why he left. Could as well be private reasons.
  6. According to his twitter Alvin Nelson left Obsidian. Much sadness. :( All the best bro for whatever you are going to do now.
  7. Chris Parker took over Project Director from Zane. *Updated my Obsidian log*
  8. Yup. Behind the Scenes video at the very least. Seems to have been only shortly yesterday before going private.
  9. Trevor Crandall - 3D Artist http://www.trevorcrandall.com/
  10. Trevor Crandall joined Obsidian already in june last year, but seems to have updated his Linkedin only recently. He's worked as an artist on a number of different games including Crackdown, Stranglehold, Alan Wake, LOTR: WITN and Halo 4. Currently he's working on the next-gen project as a 3D artist. Hi Trevor!
  11. The next-gen project was signed two months BEFORE that article was put up. So, no. Sry.
  12. Yep. Though the reason to be skeptical might be more since the next-gen thing was the replacement project after the 2012 layoffs. Things went fast there. So, I would lower expectation on what game it's going to be in the end.
  13. Fallout: New Vegas, South Park A teaser/trailer is a more popular choice nowadays than a simple press release. Not often about gdc, Which speaks for the Kickstarter,
  14. No? Considering its an initial announcement Obsidian would need to prepare for it, like a trailer or demo to show off. Taking that argument the same could be said about the kickstarter. Not bound to a marketing shedule why would Obsidian already have decided on an announcement date 4 (the article is from december 19th) months prior? Aside from the fact that according to the december interview they hadn't even decided on what project to do for the second kickstarter.
