I've seen a couple of screenshots and I thought it looked good, and the setting sounds original, which isn't a bad thing at all. I'm not a fan of ARPGs, though, so I need a bit more incentive to be interested in this.

Obsidian Entertainment is looking for a new intern with Flash animation experience. This person should be comfortable creating characters, environments and effects in 2D, and have a basic understanding of classic animation techniques. Some knowledge of Actionscript (2.0 or 3.0) preferred. Characters, environments and effects in 2d.

Funcroc already posted it on the E3 impressions topic but whatever.. It's a bit.. short for an E3 Q&A, but the answers are interesting nonetheless. First of all, it's nice to hear hot keys mentioned . Second, and most important, the way they're adjusting difficulty seems on the right track, especially for an ARPG.

Oh whatever. I just grabbed both GTA4 (I liked Vice City for PS2 even if I didn't finish it, and it's not like I have to rush it now, since it's not borrowed) and the X-Com pack.

And the game is..? It looked like Drakensang at first, but the UI is different.

I'm quite liking it, mind you, and yeah, it's probably the fact that it hasn't aged perfectly, but I don't feel like it's a masterpiece, that's all. It's still VERY VERY enjoyable.

Almost tempted by X-Com pack and GTA4. Will think about it, though, especially since I've heard bad things about the GTA4 PC port.

Playing Max Payne.. for the first time. Yeah, yeah I know. Nice, if a bit gimmicy.

Actually the Adytum fight with the Blades vs Regulators was UN-FREAKING-BEARABLE for me. I never understood why Fallout 1 and 2 were turn based anyway, since their combat systems didn't have particular depth. Would have made more sense to make them RtwP so that combat would have been quicker from my pov, but of course, your mileage may vary on the subject.

As long as you can get to the sniper, you should have an easier time. Actually I found it easier without using the sniper at all, just taking cover in the tower and using the assault rifle. Using the sniper rifle always meant that I couldn't leave it quickly enough to take cover.

Doesn't necessarily have to be the engine though, considering Deus Ex : Human Revolution was behind closed doors too.

So they're not happy with the way the game looks but they showcase it at E3 with gushing previews following? Seems a little unlikely to me.. not impossible mind you, but still..

Can the kill cam be used to confirm/cancel goals, or Blatter vetoed it? Mind you, that's important, depending on your answer I may decide whether to buy the game or not.

That's being looked into, fyi. We can't have the rich becoming richer as the poor become poorer. Equal distribution of misery is a top priority atm. As for the quality of English footballers, I'm going to say that the team had, I think, sufficient quality to be world champions. The WC stakes just aren't high enough (individual awards can be earned without winning the championship, too), and they don't play as a team nearly long enough to be as compact as they are as part of their respective clubs. UEFACL/League tournaments are a much better representation of their ability... because they give a damn. The current setup means that competitions with the national team is something that pro footballers do on the side. Besides, nation-states are so pass

Finished my commando Alpha Protocol playthrough. The boss fight was brutal, really. I've begun a suave veteran playthrough, but since I feel a little burned out on the game, I guess I'll fall back to the games I've bought on Steam lately.
