  1. No, you can't. I've just announced that I'm going to announced myself.
  2. They already confirmed there's going to be three more DLCs. What's the news?
  3. Nice art! Can't wait to see something else, and possibly how those various pieces interact with each other in the game!
  4. It's not really that surprising when you think about the fact that it's a follow up to a game that sold upwards of 8+ million copies. That said I'm happy for their success. New Vegas? It's not like Mass Effect 2 wasn't a follow-up either. And where did you get the 8+ million copies figures?
  5. I dunno, what would you call a person who bought a stolen phone from someone for 1/10 of the actual price? surely not a thief? what if he got that phone as a gift from his friend who bought it from a person who in his turn got it from the thief? what do you call him then? because this happens all the time at pawn shops and whatnot by the way, you can start a thread about Killzone 3 now, too (42 GB? my god, why would anyone even consider downloading it) Aside from very poor countries, that category of pirates has all but died down, and is certainly not really that relevant to our discussion.
  6. Sorry but what should they be called otherwise?
  7. Can you post a link please? Here it is, my good sir.
  8. Well, a new patch is coming out, promising to fix performance problems and other issues. We don't really know more than that.
  9. Looks like it's definitely going more action-y than NWN2. I don't know if there's going to be any kind of AI system to direct characters, but it's going to be fairly difficult to control more than one character at a time, given that the gameplay is far twitchier. EDIT: There's not much info to base myself on right now, but I'm fairly sure you'll get to mess with the other characters inventories too, given that the inventory is shared and every character has unique armor/equipment anyway.
  10. I see Shepard as a cheesy 80s action hero. That way his lines work really well. He was hilarious overall.
  11. Some new footage. Looks still rough around the edges. Combat looks like it has a lot of options, but I'm not sure why they don't just let you pause to select abilities.. it sounds.. annoying. It's a pre-beta build, and the video isn't exactly hi-res, so it's difficult to give a judgment on performance, but it's fairly clear that there's still work to do, especially considering that the first Witcher wasn't that well optimized of a game. Encounter design looks a little.. game-y? This band of guards that spawn like that do not really make for a convincing gameworld in my opinion. Also, it looks like there ARE loading times, after all, just very quick ones.
  12. No more bands of mooks spawning every three feet would help. They're boring, they're not tactical, and they're too much. The Deep Roads felt incredibly tedious and it looks like they will be just as tedious in Dragon Age II. Also HAWKE PUNCH, huh? It's really Dragon Effect. At least the skill trees look better, and the graphics didn't look that bad in that video. It feels like an 80s fantasy cartoon, but whatever.
  13. ...looks like my worst fears came true, they've designed dungeons the same way as Dragon Age: Origins. Goddammit.
  14. You can see the screenshots (without watermarks) and trailer at GameBanshee.
  15. I'm generally in favor of expansions, but the two are not mutually exclusive (see DA:O).. that said, DLC is being taken into account in the way they've built the game, so there's a very high chance the game will get some as long as it sells decently.
  16. I never really expected New Vegas to outsell Mass Effect 2 on Xbox360. That's certainly interesting, though there's no numbers in it. Are those hard data or estimates, though? EDIT: Also Fable III sold a lot more than both, according to those data, despite being the lowest in Metacritic rankings.... interesting, though again, I'd want numbers.
  17. The lighting engine is kinda similar from what my non-expert eyes can see, but yeah, it looks a lot better, thanks to the art. Honestly, even with zillions of graphic mods, Oblivion didn't really look as good as this anyway.
  18. Around last year E3 Feargus Urquhart (Obsidian CEO) said that a toolset wasn't planned in an interview with GameBanshee but for all we know plans may have changed. Dunno about persistent worlds, but I'd be surprised if it was possible.
  19. Trailer looked good. And yeah, it reminded me of MotB even if it seems far less dark.
  20. Just saying that I'm fairly positive the enemy will act like that in the final build, not that you were wishing for something wrong.
  21. Monte Carlo Suites.
  22. The commentary was really very painful to hear. Also, the AI will suck. Don't get your hopes high. People kept telling the same thing "oh yeah, the AI will improve" for Alpha Protocol and look at the final product. Better just hope it doesn't matter because it's an hack'n'slash, Obsidian can't do AI, we've got that.
  23. The floating heads bug and other physics related bug are carry-over from Fallout 3, as far as I know.
  24. I guess I identify romances from Obsidian more with Safiya coming out of nowhere and telling me she loved me just because I had high influence with her and the horrible horrible romance with the elf in NWN2.
  25. Not sure if you were ironic, but I honestly don't think Obsidian has ever been that good at romance.
