Hm, there's something decidedly "more-ish" about Game Dev Tycoon. You switch it on to idle away 10 minutes, and find out it's actually 2 hours later and you're just trying to get that damn AAA game to sell well...

Hm, Max Payne 3 is now at 80% off. I think for £2.99 I'll let temptation run. Even if I don't get around to playing anything seriously for a bit.

And now.. You're already over-thinking things... Hm, I really need to find where the Christmas wrapping paper was stashed.

"For these are the best years of your life....." It all goes downhill from here..

Have to admit, been in an odd mood today. Not exactly Christmas melancholy, but concentration is fairly shot, juggling various small tasks and errands, can't really get in the mood to poke at any games, or read any books. Have to wrap up some presents. Trying to watch a QI episode for some general laughter. "What attachment would you expect to find on a swiss student knife?" "Pot noodle opener?" "Well, it's not like they'd really need a corkscrew if they're a kid." "Maybe not if they're from Europe, but a good British child would."

I'll admit it's been a long while since I read through the Silmarillion, but that's part of what Peter Jackson had said he was doing. Adding in chunks of background information from that to flesh out the story and lay elements that turned up in the LoTR stories.

Something like three 20+ minute action sequences tied together by travelling, panoramic shots of new Zealand landscape and in-depth conversation along with laying plot points for what led up to Sauron's forces being together in LoTR...

Ah, the original Matrix. The remake with Jim Caviziel and Ian Mckellen wasn't too bad but fell short from the original. The remake had a lot of interesting points, but somehow, even with that cast, it just never clicked quite right.

Twin Peaks never held a candle to the original weirdness that was.. The Prisoner

hm, I haven't picked up Dungeon Siege 3 yet.

Hm. Max Payne 3 at 60% off.. I'm tempted, but it's still Christmas time and budgets have already been stretched.

Hm, it's something that came out of the Makeb story-line. I know it's some super-duper crafting thing, but no idea what for.- 505 replies

Is it any good? Can't say without having finished the book, I've read too many books that burned all their powder in the first third and then quality and information value dropped to disappointing levels. But so far its good. I keep seeing this at the top of the page and want to put down "It's so good it'll make your head explode"....

I have to admit, if I'm not going with the industrial nature of PG Tips.. I will favour Lady Grey over Earl Grey...

Heh. The Be Five. Babylon 5 actors Bill Mummy, Andreas Katsulas, Mira Furlan, Peter Jurasik and Claudia Christian with some extra backup vocals from Patricia Tallman making up a cast band... http://youtu.be/7K3DlfGJoQc

Well, for my two 55th level characters - Currently they're looking like this (although the Gunslinger hasn't got any really flash gear yet, he's pretty much on the 58 gear):- 505 replies
