Is she working on visual novels or interactive movies?

I don't think anyone expects the police to do their job without harming anybody, but unless this is 2000 AD and they are judge, jury and executioner their main priority should be to make an arrest and uses of deadly force should be used with extreme prejudice. IIRC that's the law on most states and most of the cases presented here show little to no prejudice. The other thing is that the officers lied on their report about the circumstances leading up to the shooting saying that the victim "charged at him and his partner with a knife". I can only wonder at how many justified shootings by police officers are actually justified.

Maybe that will change with the Occulus Rift but I'm fairly certain that implementing real FOV, Depth of View and Head tracking on current systems would be a pain in the ass.

UK Muslims targeted for speaking out about terror

And how is that compatible with free speech? (open question) Most courts agree that freedom of speech only extends so far as when it harms living beings, or the government. Thus the old shouting fire in a theater metaphor. -

Is it worth going through that, I mean will the game reward you for it? Or is it one of those things that you brag about it to your friends who then ask: "What the hell is Project Eternity?" -

Have you thought about sending them to Ireland? They can trade tips with IRA until they both blow themselves up due to religious differences, what with them being Muslim and the Irish being drunk. -
Why? Its her fault for having ****ty interests.

I'd be remiss if I said anything other than Havana Club, but Bacardi was also ours once.

And the fact that the maps are one dimensional and there is very little exploring or decent side quests doesn't bother you? Not really since I expected the game to linear, but so far I haven't had a shortage of sidequests. I think I can forgive the maps being linear because it aids the combat by controlling the positioning of enemies.

When I woke up this morning the sunlight was flickering the way a TV does when it's being filmed. Is my brain somehow out of phase? If so, this would explain a LOT. Well Mr. Anderson, it seems you have found a glitch in the Matrix.

I dunno, I think it's more along the lines of the "normal" reboots Zoraptor's talking about, even if it was a successful game in its own right. Basically they took the Fallout brand and applied it to a Bethesda type game. Prince of Persia the Sands of Time. The problem with modern reboots is that they just take an established franchise and completely disregard what the original was in order to favor an (arguably) misguided design style. Translation: Stealth games are not action games, RPGs are not shooters, and Dragon's Crown is not feminist friendly.

Finally got around to playing Of Orcs and Men, I gotta say that I seriously underestimated this game. What I thought was going to be a straightforward, clunky RPG riddled with stereotypes that pass for a story has completely defied my expectations. The combat system is the high point of this game (its as if what they were trying to do with DA2 was done right) it manages a balance between strategy, action, and build all in a rather simple manner whose depth is found in proper usage.

Actually I want to say thanks for that. I haven't even given thought to tone of dialogue. So far I've been focusing on the tone of my load screen descriptions. Which I'd say is keeping in mind the dystopic elements. Good luck and let us know when you're finished so we can play it. Are you planning on episodic releases or just one? Crysis has always been the standard for testing PC rig, Battlefield is also a good choice, I personally would recommend a heavily modified Skyrim.

If what I understand from your post is right you're working on a Shadowrun game. I have but one request: please, don't make the in game dialog feel so damn cheerful. I don't know why but every story out there has everyone acting all like chums and sounding like a Saturday morning cartoon. It's like everyone forgot the main campaign and the tone it was written on, or the tone of the Cyberpunk genre. If you're not working on a story then please disregard this post, but it felt good to vent anyways.

Yeah I don't get it. It isn't a kickstarter, they've already got a playable alpha, and it is a relatively inexpensive game. People are so weird. Welcome to the Internet, where everyone's butthurt because no one has invented a pleasure machine that at the push of a button delivers excitement. (Those hospital buttons for morphine come close though)

Or pirate.

That's because they're not stealth games.

Ha ha 'murica. 'murica never changes. The computer and console pages are full of pictures of pixellated blood'n'gore but ****'n'ass ain't allowed. As the man said, Ha! Good Fun! That may be, aside from respecting the forums guidelines I kind of look forward to elegant ladies, or ladies with sensuous dresses rather than pure borderline nakedness. Ifyou really need to see nude women, then I guess you have the rest of the internet for browsing.- 526 replies

I personally would had like to see Outlast on that list, just to see Conan's reaction to being at talking level with crazy guy penises.

How would an AC set during ancient Rome make you feel? I'd like it, but I'd rather see them take on Imperial China, maybe some sort of Yuan Dynasty storyline where you assassinate corrupt Mongols. That falls under the Altair timeline, as I recall it he left to deal with the Mongol invasion which is what lead to the Apple corrupting "what his name". But rest assuredly, if AC becomes a yearly affair like they plan we are going to be seeing a lot of history. I'm just hoping they ditch Desmond and maintain quality control, it seems they dropped the ball on AC3.
