Ok, I will try again. Explain this then: The Elder Scrolls: Arena was released in 1993. The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall was released in 1996. Now the tricky part.. (I know math is beyond you, but try to understand) An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire was released in 1997. The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard was released in 1998. If they're all "part of the series" (as you claim) then those two parts should be part 3 and 4 respectively, right? The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind was released in 2002. Click on the provided link and see what it says on the cover. Oh, right it's in roman numerals. Here, I'll translate: III actually means 3! So, according to you, how would you enumerate Redguard and Battlespire? And do you even know what a spin-off is?
-
No, there are only three games in the Elder Scrolls-series. The Elder Scrolls: Arena The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (plus expansions) Then there are two spin-offs of the Elder Scrolls universe. The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard (action/fighting game) An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire (action game with multiplayer deathmatches)

So who is holding the gun to your head, forcing you to play the Elder Scrolls-games?

Yeah, that's one of the things that intrigued me about STALKER too, that you actually have to find a safe place to sleep when your character runs out of "fuel". It sounds great and I get these mind pics of me searching through huge, abandoned russian apartment complexes trying to find a safe room because the night is coming... Spooky!

Morrowind was a very ambitious project that failed to deliver what it intended to. Dialogues, for instance, are severely flawed. You walk up to a NPC, click on it and are presented with a list of options of things to ask about. Thing is, that list is (most often) the same whether you talk to a city guard, an old woman, a small child etc. so it grows old very quick. Also, the game lacks any physics whatsoever. The world is HUGE and detailed, but you cannot actually affect anything in the world, except character models. Another annoying thing is that the game has to load everytime you enter a cave/house/tomb/whatever. It wouldn't be so bad (well, to me it's an immersion disruptor) if it didn't lead to every cave in the entire game being doored. Imagine how stupid it looks when you walk into a cave and you have to open a door to get in. Even if the cave is underwater.. Other annoying things include constant fighting (damn birds), way too easily abused gameplay and the lack of FMV's or scripted events (ok, a few scripted events). On the good side: The world is extremely open ended and bigger than any game you'll ever play (unless you decide to play its predecessor, Daggerfall). There are LOTS of quests (albeit most fairly simple ones), lots of places to explore, lots of people to meet, lots of monsters to fight , lots of "phat l00t" to collect. And, personally, I thought the expansions were way better than the OC. If you can get it cheap with the expansions already added, then I'd say go for it. If you just buy the original game, I'd say pass.

Gotta love that Hristo Stoichkov before the game claimed "we are clearly the better team".. Well, Hristo, you can take five footballs and shove them up your rear! And for those who don't know, Hristo is one of the coaches for the Bulgarian team and he used to be one hell of a good player himself. He was in the team that was beaten by Sweden (4-0) in 1994..
-
They beat Bulgaria 4-0 in the WC in 1994.. Anyhow, we have 4-0 again now!! Zlatan has presented himself to the Euopean football fans
-
Sweden - Bulgaria 3-0 right now with 30 minutes to go!!! I COULD KISS VOL.. ehm.. ok ALMOST KISS SOMEONE HALF AS NASTY AS VOLOURN RIGHT NOW! Hey, Gorth, I wouldn't worry about anything if I were you. The Danes played a great game and were just a bit unlucky in front of goal. It was a good game anyhow, despite the result!

I love when even the lowliest "peasant" has his own voice, even if it's only to say crap about fungus. It's great fun to hear. But it does take a lot of resources: I remember looking through Gothic's directories (even the original Gothic had ALL VO'd dialogue) and found one huge voice file. I think it was 500+ Mb. The thing about sound in games now is that the developers can do it in .mp3-format and since it's only speech (and not music) the bitrate doesn't have to be very high either. So appr. 2 minutes of speech could easily be crammed into 1 Mb of data.

I have to assume here you are kidding. At least one of you got it. Die, heathen, die!!

? I've only seen two things we disagree on: Planescape: Torment and Foreign Politics.

No, actually I'm very satisfied. Thank you!

Yes, someone the joke eluded me. I must be the stupid american. Anyhow, I have no interest in continuing this pointless argument with you. We've been taught by different school systems and we're obviously not on the same level of education. One of us would have to actually educate the other and I bet noone of us would have the time it would take to do that. I apologize for letting the discussion sink to this level and I will try not to voice my opinions to you in particular in the future. No hard feelings on my part.

No no, your immense intelligence (especially the homeage-link for me) has me on my knees, totally owned. No comebacks here. As a matter of fact, now that I've been so 0wn3d by you, I think it might be best if we stayed far away from each other in other threads as well, that's how shaken I am. Deal?
-
Yes, I'm sure your dad is stronger than mine.. If your comment was written by anyone else than an american I would have thought it was a joke. Sadly though..
-
Hahaha, I love this last link! You're amazingly accurate in your "ignorant, uneducated american" impersonation. We actually have a kind of "contest" of who can find the "dumbest american" on one of the swedish boards I'm a member on, and so far we mostly have really funny quotes from NRA members and the likes ("we could bomb you back to the stone age!"), but I imagine I have a new contestant here! I hope you won't mind if I use your page as an entry

Not a single source to back up your lies. Again. http://www.apk2000.dk/netavisen/artikler/g...basic_stats.htm http://www.fpif.org/ http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB8/nsaebb8i.htm http://www.guardian.co.uk/september11/oney...,793153,00.html http://www.krysstal.com/democracy.html http://www.truthbeknown.com/biblequotes.htm Here are some of my sources, straight up. Now show me yours and let's compare what we find, shall we? It's bad when you start behaving like Volourn, saying stuff like "I don't show facts because you're not worth my time" and then you have the stomach to call me childish? Uhm.. Check out the thread above.. And you claim you didn't think it was worth it? That's half an essay up there.

I'de love to see a page for KotOR 2 like this one for FarCry.
-
Uh.. you mean the one where you click the controller once and your character suddenly runs up a wall, does a triple somersault, waters a pot of flowers, buys some milk in a nearby store, kills ten bad guys and then make you feel all skilled and cool about it?
-
There are four that I know of. The two that EnderWiggin mentioned already and: Superhero League of Hoboken: An old RPG, with a few adventure elements baked in, but it's great fun, lots of humour, intriguing story and great characters. Hero X: I've never played this one myself, but I remember it getting "not so good" reviews when it arrived. Who knows, you might like it anyhow?

I'd love to hear Michael Ironside voice one of the Sithlords. Now that's one mean voice! Another actor with a great voice is Alan Rickman, but I assume he would be a wee bit expensive to hire..

Ok, enough of this crap. Could you PLEASE back up your ridiculous claims? For ONCE?! How WWI or WWII would have ended without the US? I DON'T KNOW AND NEITHER DO YOU. Pure ridiculously nationalistic speculation. Crappy point, move on. How was Iraq before you bombed the place to bits? It wasn't a ruin, that's for sure! Yes, I recall why the embargo was put in place. I've even provided links with lots of information about the situation (which hasn't helped). What have you provided? Opinions. Or should I perhaps call them outright lies? You have demonstrated that you "keep better tabs" on this war than me? Dumb thing to ask, but how do you come to this conclusion? Because you write lots and lots of posts without any references? Sorry, it doesn't work that way for me. Go back in the thread and read some of the links I've provided FOR YOU (which *I* have already read) and see who knows more. If you still think you keep better tabs then I, then I have nothing more to add. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but YES they are pumping the land dry of oil. I provided links of that too, ones you obviously never bothered to read since you already "keep better tabs" than me. "History has shown that theory doesn't work"? Yeah, all the links you provide to back up your claims sure convinced me this time. Bull. Sh!t. The UN does their job. It's called diplomacy. As long as you think the only action is war, the UN rarely solve anything, no. I'm done discussing with you. There's no point discussing something with people who make up facts as they go along, which I now assume you do since you refuse to give me any references to back up your pro-american claims even though I've asked you politely several times.

I honestly think this would be a better world to live in if the US wouldn't interfere in other countries businesses. If by some bizarre quirk you still think the US are the good-doers of the world, please read more books. (Or at least read some of the links I've provided above.) Ok, just answer me this then: Name one time in history when a muslim country started a war on the US and called for Jihad? Feel free to provide a link to where you get your facts too! (for the first time in this thread)

Campbell: "Your code name for this mission will be Infamous Grasshopper" I think I'll have to kill myself now.
