  1. Some European math dude that made it big. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually he was a philosopher who also did some excellent mathematical breakthroughs. He died in Stockholm, Sweden, even though he was french. Guess he couldn't stand the cold..
  2. B
  3. I hope the graphics engine has been greatly optimized. I hope the story (which I liked in KotOR) has been improved as far as incentive goes. I hope the PC-version gets free mouselook. I hope the maps are much, much bigger this time around. I hope the game doesn't have to load data everytime you enter a building. I hope there's a bigger difference between dark side/light side in KotOR2. I hope the NPC's you meet (and use as henchmen) are interesting, charming and if not - killable. I hope the main quest isn't as linear. I hope there are more sidequests which have an impact on the game itself. I hope the game will be a raving success (among both critics and players) and bring loads of cash to Obsidian's funds. Amen.
  4. I voted for option B. Why would I need a bunch of incoherent posts taken out of context? Just direct me to the developer's first post, please.
  5. Gaah! I wish they had released Halo on PC about the same time as they released the Xbox-version, AND that they had kept the co-op mode. Then maybe it would be considered one of the best on PC too. As it is now, I hardly remember it. Great news to see KotOR2 ranked that high on the list! I wish Obsidian all the best and with all the media attention they are getting, it is almost bound to sell well.
  6. I always liked that tiny, floating, round droid that people kept hitting with their light sabres during practice..
  7. I must have played my KotOR wrong because in my version Bastila was a whiny bitch with the self control of a heroin addict. I voted for Atris because white hair turns me oooonnnn...
  8. I'm kind of expecting to be disappointed by KotOR2, because there were three major things about KotOR that bugged the hell out of me: the console controls (on PC) where they didn't take advantage of the mouse, the minimal maps (a restriction from the limited RAM of the Xbox) and the horribly un-optimized graphics engine (at least for the PC). Akari has kind of revealed that none of these three major problems with the game has changed (except for the free mouse-look that might still make it into the game with a little luck). Therefore the main story, non player characters and game balance has to be MUCH better than its predecessor for it to not disappoint me. And that's tough.
  9. I know STALKER will use 64-bit code.. Shadow Ops: Red mercury comes with a 64-bit version. Gaah! I've posted news about some more titles using 64-bit, but they seem to have slipped my mind at the moment.
  10. A few weeks ago I asked if the PC-version would get real mouse-look (with z-axis), and you (Akari) replied that it was a low priority feature that might make it, depending on how much time you had. Do you know now if it was implemented or if it had to go?
  11. Will the difference in release dates mean anything for the PC version (except that it misses the Xmas gold rush)? Will you continue working on it and adding features that didn't make it into the pre-Xmas Xbox-version?
  12. I'm slowly getting the feeling that you're not taking my thread seriously.
  13. That still doesn't explain how Hogan is still going strong...by all accounts he was one of the worst abusers of steroids out there in the 80s. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One of the biggest problems with modern medicines is that we still don't know how they affect all people. One person can inject tons of stuff into his system and walk away unharmed, while some people can OD on aspirin.
  14. Yeah, one of the worse side effects of heavy doping is that your heart grows too, since it's a muscle after all, and since the heart wasn't meant to become 2-3 times bigger (called "bull-heart".. ermm.. in Sweden), it becomes very thin. After a few years it collapses and you die.
  15. I wouldn't care about this game either.. If it wasn't so damn Gothic-resembling! Oh, and the co-op seems really nice too.
  16. When/if they catch one of those thingies I'll be interested. But reading page after page of texts trying to look credible on sites like "UFOR00lZ.com" is just mind numbing. No proof, no game.
  17. This isn't a good sign for the "Fall 2004" release date, but I still thought it might interest some on the board. Dungeon Lords is getting a beta-test and you can apply for it here: http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/dci/forms/betatester/ Ps. The demo isn't out yet. Only a few days left of September now..
  18. You think Sweden is a safe country to live in? Then check this out: http://www.sterilecreed.com/weather/
  19. I once saw a japanese girl with a tattoo on her lower back that said "Harder" (just above her butt)..
  20. It was pretty smooth for me too. On a pc. With 16x AA Why the hell am I writing that in this thread?!
  21. Geez! So you guys actually think it's better to "love" a COMPUTER CHARACTER because of her personality than her looks?! It's still just a fiction of imagination! It doesn't matter if you look at the boobs of a computer game model, I promise you "she" won't mind. And you really don't have to tell "her" you like her intellect more than her body In real life it might be true, but to come to this thread and look down on people who doesn't appreciate "the complexity of her personality" is just insane. Anyhow, I'll be getting that Playboy issue because it's computer related and a novelty. First time and all that. I don't think anyone in their right mind would even consider jacking off to a pile of pixels.
  22. In Sweden it's a small, orange fruit that you peel and eat at christmas. But I am sure newc0253 is referring to the chinese dialect Mandarin. (It's actually its own language, but they're very much alike, all these different chinese languages, so I call it a dialect anyhow)
  23. Actually, I've never even considered buying an issue of Playboy, but I'll try to find this one (and the one when/if Britney poses..)
  24. After the release of KotOR 2 you'll be swimming in money and you'll be able to buy the rights to Icewind Dale 3 from Atari! Or was that a dream I had last night? Anyhow, I really think you should concentrate on a (*cough*post apocalyptic*cough*) own intellectual property after these first huge projects. I want to see Obsidian in full effect, without the constraints of LucasArts, Star Wars, Bioware engines, Atari publishers, WotC rules and so on and so forth.
  25. I think I'm addicted to these boards or something so I'll probably visit here after the Xbox-version is released. Even if I don't want to!
