It's lonely at the bottom, being a Leafs fan

The boring thing about the Xbox 360 is that while the graphics are prettier and the framerates higher (in some cases), it's just not enough to warrant a 'next generation' label. It's mean, but the Xbox 360 sure feels like an Xbox 1.5. At least for now. Why didn't any of the big console makers buy Ageia's PhysX technology? It sounded like a perfect fit.

The only one looking stupid in this thread is you. I will help you by highlighting the point you obviously missed in the last post: The rest of the world might actually have believed the UN appointed weapons inspector Hans Blix, who knows. Point is that you're blurting out garbage about stuff you have no clue about, despite accusing others of doing just that in an earlier post. I don't care if your right or left wing, just get off your high horse. It smells of hypocrisy.

I hate them all. In fact, the paper I wipe my butt with usually looks better than that. Just kidding! Seriously though.. I also like the landscape thingie. No idea why. I wish it was sharper so I could see more details. Maybe it's because it looks kind of post apocalyptic? Not sure. Me like anyhow.

Official Obsidian Battlefield 2 Ranked Server Up!

Uhm.. no. I play the game to have fun and I don't see myself having fun resurrecting people instead of blowing them to bits. I've tried the tank tactics and it worked fairly good. The best way of getting lots and lots of points seem to be to learn how to fly a jet though. Damn those guys who can fly dominate every map I'm on. They just sit in the air and blast everything to pieces, drop bombs and rain missiles. The missiles you fire at them from the ground are too slow to catch them and the other weapons don't affect them at all. Only way to bring down a jet seems to be with another jet or, if you're lucky, with a chopper. In a way it feels like they're bad for the balance of the game because everytime there's a guy who can fly on, he wins the match by like.. 100 points. -
Yeah, the Playstation 2 version is like a Ferrari. The Gamecube version is like a Ferrari.. with magnesium rims! Uhm.. What I'm trying to say is that both are excellent games, but the Gamecube version is a tiny bit prettier and has that precise Gamecube controller nailed down.

I'm hoping Fahrenheit picks up a few.. I don't think it's that good a game but it's innovative and original enough to be awarded somehow!
-
Yes, I have played it. It's impressive on every level. Graphics are awe-inspiring, the framerate is consistantly high, level design (and art design) is superb and the fighting system is good. The game can get a bit repetitive after a while, but if you enjoy action games you're bound to love this. One of the best games ever released on the Playstation 2. Spel

What was that about shutting the f up about things you don't understand and let the grown-ups talk? Hans Blix, chief of UNMOVIC (UN weapons inspectors), and his team did thorough investigations of Iraq before the war and found nothing that would warrant a war, something which his report clearly stated. But the Bush administration was so war horny that they ridiculed Hans and UNMOVIC and started the war anyhow. The only thing "everyone else in the world" knows is that Bush & Co. was wrong. There were no WMD's and Blix was right. You clearly only get your biased information from US news agencies. Stop watching FOX and search the net for some real news for once.

Phew. Leafs won a game! About time. Kind of impressive to win despite letting 6 past Belfour.. I guess all that talk about not generating enough offence has gotten on their nerves. KABOOM, 9 goals!

You're easily fooled if changing the name of something is enough to confuse you.

Haha, I hate those tv-guided missiles! I was once in that helicopter as the gunner, and I was doing very well, getting a ton of kills and blowing out tanks like a death machine. Then suddenly we got a plane racing towards us at enormous speed, firing missiles like no tomorrow. I figured I'd try the stupid tv-missiles on him. I actually did manage to hit him, but I hit him just as he was ascending to avoid colliding with us, and his burning wreckage did a perfect kamikaze dive into our chopper, taking us both out. The pilot (who was an incredible flyer) didn't let me ride with him again :| Edit: My kill/death ratio is still a steady 1:2, no matter what I do. Oh well. -
How about Omikron: The Nomad Soul then? Brilliant game (according to me) but I've almost never heard anyone talk about it. The makers of Fahrenheit made it in 1999.

Really? Here's some advice for you:

And all I wanted was some pictures of the newest weapon technologies..

Edit: Had to change picture server.

I mainly use it to get a clue about things I have no clue about to begin with. But I haven't used it as a definite source for anything (except quotes for boards). Maybe I will start now?

Perhaps Far Cry would be 'up your alley'? It's dead cheap, might as well give it a try. It just happens to be my favourite pure FPS of all time. )

No. The question is why do they make so much of it. I mean, it comes from the same nation where they sell underage girls' worn underpants in vending machines, I figure the burden of 'proving their innocence' lies on their part. Sure, you can try to put the blame on the importers of the games, but what if this really is what comes from Japan? Why would they choose the perverted games and not import the good games (if such games existed)? Makes no sense, not from a business perspective, not from any perspective.

I'm so incredibly glad it doesn't! Can you spell slow-paced.. S.L.O.O.O.O.O.W or something.

It's not that odd, really. What Volourn fails to understand (because his hard-on for Jade Empire probably poked out an eye or something) is that even though Jade Empire is a good game, it doesn't match the great games Bioware has released before. Going from great to good isn't the worst thing that could happen, but it's still a step back and a disappointment. All in all, they're complimenting Bioware and acknowledning their status as the world's premiere creators of CRPG's, and only a true Bioware fanboi can fail to see that just because their one 'not so classic' title gets a bad rap.

I own a lot of japanese games but most of them are crap. And I mean CRAP. They're either full of teenage girls with supershort skirts and preteen bodies (except the boobs.. they are always huge) or full of strange genderless beings with gigantic eyes, butt-ugly clothes and spiky hair. Often you'll get both in the same game. And don't forget the obligatory upskirt scene. That's always included, no matter the game. The japanese people must have some sort of mass population defunct in the sense that they get lost easily. Why else would they make 95% of their games as narrow corridors where you absolutely cannot get lost or even go the wrong way? Not that it matters, since most of the time the gameplay consists of walking through those bizarre corridors for 20 seconds and then watch a confusing, sexistic movie for 5 minutes, totally void of player interaction. Some games are even sadistic enough to not let you skip the movies. Then, once in a while, along comes a game like Resident Evil 4, Kingdom Hearts or Dragon Quest 8 that somehow manages to make you forget about those 2000 other atrocious games they've vomited over you.

I hate being a Leafs fan. Oh well, I knew this would probably be a long season.
