Ten years ago, me and a friend were out interrailing (you buy a HUGE ticket and you get to ride trains for "free" all over Europe for one month) and we had been away for perhaps two weeks. We were currently slowly passing through Italy and it was hot, the coupe (not sure it's the right word) was crammed with people and I was horribly bored as we had been sitting there for probably 20 hours straight. So to lighten up the mood, I started singing loudly in swedish. When that had annoyed everyone to hell and back, I instead started commenting on people's looks out loud, but in swedish. One guy was sitting right in front of my friend, and he was BIG, with this crushed looking nose, and I was making up all these storied about how he probably beat up and raped men in dark alleyway's in his spare time, or that he was a boxer-gone-hairdresser, stuff like that. Since they were all italian and I was rambling on in swedish, noone understood me anyhow. After a while I got bored hearing my own voice and stopped. Not even ten minutes later, the huge guy with the broken nose asks my friend if he can borrow our map.. in "sjungande sk

Resident Evil 4 Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King Burnout 3: Takedown

One thing about the quests though: the rewards. I am currently not using a single thing I've gotten as a quest reward. The best reward I've gotten was from the dumbest, most meaningless quest in the game: Go Fish.

I can't believe that the Leafs beat the Flyers.. on away ice! Apparently this Aubin in goal has been solid, whoever he is. Let's hope he can keep it that way.

Not the Wico Redball. Uh.. ok, overpriced, but not that other stuff

Two more Oblivion pics: Check out where I put that Daedric arrow. She survived it! But not the follow-up sword. My newest (and best) potion: the Grand Elixir of Exploration! I like.

Ovechkin is third in points total. It would be insane not to give the Calder to him. We'l see at the end of the season though. I think Lundqvist is great (obviously) but Ovechkin is one of a kind.

The main difference between Morrowind and Oblivion when it comes to conversations is that they are fully voiced in Oblivion. Unfortunately, they're still as badly and dully written as ever. I am also disappointed with how little the speechcraft skill actually does in the game. I have it up to 80% or something, but I'm not getting any advantages from it, except that it now only takes me 20 seconds to go from 60 to 90 disposition points. I would have loved if there were quests that required you to use your skills sometimes. About the scaling.. I prefer the Gothic way (lots of monsters everywhere, in all shapes and sizes, but they don't respawn) before this scaling thingie. I am level 30+ and I'm doomed if I meet a goblin nowadays. They all have magic weapons (most often stuff that magically takes 20 hp/hit from me, thus making my block and armour skills useless) and they have insane amounts of hitpoints themselves. That plus the fact that I am still using the same weapon I got at around level 20 (Daedric longsword) makes it impossible for me to kill them, almost. I basically must hit them 50 times for them to die, while they only have to hit me ten. Combine that with my almighty 8 hp healing spell and you get the picture. I am still loving it (the game) though! It's an explorer's dream. I just finished collecting the last 40 nirnroot thingies and am eagerly awaiting my Grand Explorer's Potion ©. I love how everytime I go out into the wilderness I find something new. Or something I've already found but haven't explored yet. The forts/mines/caves/dungeons are still mostly pointless (never any endboss, almost never any special named characters, almost never any special equipment or hidden quests/stuff/whatever) but they are much improved since Morrowind. They are bigger (perfect size, actually), feel more personal and handmade and at least have some interesting features every now and then. I have no idea what I have done with my time, but I'm way behind you guys in all questlines (main, thief, et cetera) except arena.. )

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10453&hubname= Looks like they moved up Lundqvist from fourth to third! Nice. He almost has 30 wins!

Dark Messiah of M&M video preview at 1UP Show
mkreku replied to funcroc's topic in Computer and Console
I thought Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (help my fingers are bleeding from typing out the title) had awesome melee combat. Best I've seen in any game. It almost hurt in real life when you got hit over the nose in that game. -
What the hell? He was a troublemaker from beginning to end, but I will still miss him. Of course, I spent more time chasing after him than actually riding him, but he was MINE. Not only did he kill the girl that was raking in the stable (on the picture) he also managed to kill a quest-giver outside the stables, making me fail a quest. Anyone have a tip for a cool horse I can get..?

Some stupid arena pictures this time: Me and Porkchop the Pig just before the champion fight is about to start. Porkchop rooting for truffels (or something) just after our dominating win.

Buy the manor in Anvil for a not so FedEx-like quest. That's all I am saying. Except that I love that quest too.

I've played it a little (at a press showing) and it's not very similar to The Longest Journey.. at all. Lots of loading times, pretty choppy frame rates on the Xbox and a control scheme that's.. not very intuitive. They also revealed that it's not possible to go through the game without having to engage in some fighting. Yes, Dreamfall has a fighting system now. I can't decide if they're sellouts or innovators. I can say that I wasn't overly impressed with what I saw in that realtively early build. My hope is that the story and puzzle parts are good enough to compensate for the weird design decisions they seem to have made this time around.
-
Hmm. That reminds me. I was supposed to get a preview code of Dreamfall sent to me. I never did get it. I guess the postal service ate it.

I kind of like english because it's so easy to improvize. When I lived with my friends in the US, everytime I lacked a particular word in my vocabulary, I just improvized using the swedish equivalent and 90% of the time they understood me. Of course, it might just mean that my friends are highly intelligent or really good guessers too. Or psychic.

Toronto REALLY needed that win. I don't expect them to make the playoffs, but still. I just want to se them TRY at least. It's been a horrible season. Let's hope Ferguson/Quinn has a plan for a rebuild for next season. YEAH, RIGHT. Edit: I love this picture. It looks like Sundin has put his fighting face back on. Or maybe it's just the club hitting his balls

Tell me about it! Earlier in the game I was using a glass longsword (weighs 40 something) and I was doing fine, until I met a ghost. The damn thing wasn't hurt by my beautiful sword, so I quickly changed to the only thing I could think of that would hurt it: the Daedric dagger. It was insane. Suddenly there were 2 billion daggers flashing on the screen in front of me and it took less than a second to kill the poor ghost. I then proceeded to clearing the whole dungeon with the damn thing, everything from wraith's to will o' wisps fell for my little dagger, ugly as it was. Unfortunately, it also meant that my blade skill went from 70 to 80 in a heartbeat before I managed to work my way up to a Daedric shortsword and then a Daedric longsword again (which I think weighs 48 somethings..). I prefer the longsword (unless I can find a Daedric katana, which would be awesome) because I use the tactic that I run in, hit the enemy once or twice, and then quickly back up. If it's a fast enemy, I back up with my shield up, but mostly that's not necessary. I almost never get hit anymore, which is bad for my light armour skill (only one left under 70 I think). Oh, and my game also has a habit of crashing everytime I quit it. But I don't count those crashes as they really do not bother my gaming experience. I have stopped sending the error report to Microsoft at least )
-
I have only had perhaps 5 crashes to desktop. This is what I consider very little, especially if you take the complexity of the game into consideration. Arena was unplayable for me, Daggerfall became playable (almost) after the last patch, Morrowind was playable but highly unstable for the first bunch of patches, but became stable after the expansions. Oblivion is by far the most stable of the Elder Scrolls games to date for me. And it's not even patched yet! Good job, Bethesda (and Shadowstrider)! I am thoroughly impressed by this game, and I have to review it next week. It will be a disgusting fanboi review, I can feel it..

It's odd that finding a decent healing spell should turn out to be the toughest riddle for everyone so far.. Edit: Does this mean that noone plays a magic-user?

Hello, sega-soldier! Since you're here and new and all, I might as well take advantage of the situation. I thought SEGA died after the Dreamcast fiasco. What have they been doing all this time? What have you done for me lately?!

UPDATE: I managed to tame the beast! IT'S MINE NOW! ) More pics of my majestic creature! Such a beauty.. Check out the horn! It actually fights like a muthaf..
-
A somewhat better picture of my unicorn (why is it always night when I try to take a picture?!). I have a problem though: how the hell do you tame a unicorn? Whenever I try to dismount, the unicorn promptly resumes kicking my butt. And not only that, it doesn't stop there. It proceeds with kicking the entire butt of the village I happen to be in at the moment too! I don't want to lose it
