FO:NV: The Return of Gameplay Mechanics Discussion
mkreku replied to Pidesco's topic in Computer and Console
Isn't the news supposed to be out now? MY CLOCK IS TICKING. -
Haha, you made it with SEUCK! Damn, I had fun with that game editor back in the day! I think I still have an old, finished game I made on that lying around somewhere in an attic. Maybe I should upload it to the internet before the floppy disc demagnetizes itself? Anyhow, very cool website and I hope you'll get a job!

Arrogant, sure. Baseless? No. Read this awful thread. Also, Mr Global Moderator, since when does me criticising a thread in general warrant you criticising me in particular? Sure, I'm up for that, it swings both ways, right? How about this: I think you're an awful moderator who lets your personal issues stain whatever it is you're doing for Obsidian. Your personal views reflects badly on this company, especially when you post irrelevant trolling like this above quoted post. Keep it to PM or restrain yourself in the future, you're only making yourself look unprofessional. Also, the game does in no way look bad. The art design is actually quite good, the framerate is a solid 60 fps and apparently it's pretty imaginative in both level design and monster design. Had the writing, story and general 'style' (no naked boobs just for boobs sake, for example) been up to scratch, I think this could have been a winner.
-
I would choose the perks Ingenuity, Amnesia and Plain Appearance. And I will hunt down the Obsidian staff, one by one, if those aren't actual in-game perks.
-
So what? Oh no, we'll have to use the immense reserves of Thorium, Plutonium, solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, biofuel algae, natural gas, or coal. However will we survive?! You do realize that almost all plastic we use today is oil based, right? Try to imagine a world without plastic for a second. When we run out of oil, there's more than transportation that needs to be altered.

So you were forced to read it when you were 14? Then I'm sure you're genuinely disturbed that they've turned it into a video game with ****! Seriously..

It got 6/10 on Eurogamer: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/dantes-inferno-review "Basing your game on a 14th century poem set in Hell has certain advantages. For starters, you don't have to pay copyright fees or worry about the author of the source material complaining you've bastardised his work. In fact you don't have to worry about anyone complaining as only 27 people in the world have bothered to read the thing, and half of them are lying." That's the exact thought I got from reading this thread. Faked nerd rage over a book they don't give a **** about, has never read, but keeps pretending to have read to look intelligent. "They're slaughtering this masterpiece about.. uh a dude. Who goes to hell. Or something. No matter. Indignation! This will be Dante's in name only!".

Woo! Giguere blanks the Devils (our arch enemies) in his debut!

I actually want it to be much bigger this time. I don't want to feel crowded in a WASTELAND. But I'm all for polishing it to perfection! -

And game world! I'm hoping they have some talented artists and level designers in Obsidian. Not that Fallout 3 was bad in that aspect, but it pales in comparison to the Gothic games, for example. -
If Jokinen can get back to his old Florida form, then the Rangers made a great trade last night. If not, no loss anyhow. Toronto sure could have used a center like Jokinen though.
-
Last weekend I bought Psychonauts for 2
-
Now THAT's what I call a trade! Giguere and Phaneuf to Toronto for scraps and a bag of pucks (Stajan, Hagman, White, Mayers, Toskala)! We were stacked on d-men so even though White is good, we can cover for him. Toskala was being outplayed by The Monster so he's no big loss and Giguere is better anyhow. The only one I'll miss is Hagman since he's shown flashes of brilliance and he can score goals. Just needed a better center. Oh well, I'm hoping our loss in offence is made up by the huge increase in defence! It's too late to salvage this season, but a good (lucky) draft pick and this type of rebuilding and I'm already looking forward to the 2010/11 season!

Is it still possible to buy 32-bit single core processors?
mkreku replied to Humodour's topic in Skeeter's Junkyard
The Atom processor is found in single core configurations. It's 32 bit. -
So I guess the "$50 million" rumours weren't true then. No way would Microsoft pay that much for that short term of exclusivity.
-
But I like small boobs :)

Ok, so I've had a slight eye on Red Dead Redemption before, but now it's one of my most anticipated too: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/red-dead...mption-hands-on It sounds too good to be true! Even bigger than GTA: San Andreas! Let's hope it makes it to the PC.

No, it doesn't even do multi-tasking. Welcome back to the eighties. "There's no multitasking at all. It's a real disappointment. All this power and very little you can do with it at once. No multitasking means no streaming Pandora when you're working in Pages... you can figure it out. It's a real setback for this device." They even have a video showing this. "Since Ovechkin became captain on January 5th, Washington has won 11 of 12 games and scored at least four goals in all but one of them." I guess he's taking that captaincy seriously.

They have the rights to the Interstate games! Wow, I have voted for those on the GOG homepage, but there were like.. uh.. 70 other people voting with me so I thought there was no chance of ever seeing them on sale. But now, maybe! The Space Quest and King's Quest series are given. I hope they manage to get Wizards & Warriors up and running. I actually have that game here somewhere, but I never even got it to work properly in XP..
-
I'm sure they don't. Especially as this one STARTS at around $4000..
-
I wouldn't mind all the Ultima's. Oh, and I'm still hoping they release all the old Elder Scrolls (Redguard etc.) on GOG. Those are next to impossible to find nowadays.

I can't believe a bloated Ipod Touch can get that much hype. I'd much prefer something like this get the attention: https://presscentre.sony.eu/content/detail....;ReleaseID=5545 A laptop with 1920x1080 resolution 13.1" screen, TWO video cards (one Intel, for long battery life and one Nvidia GT330 1 GB for gaming), FOUR RAID:ed SSD:s (256 GB) for extreme performance, 6 GB DDR3 RAM, built in WiFi + 3G + Blutooth, all in a carbon fibre chassis.. and it all weighs 1.43 kg (just over 3 lbs)! Now THAT is impressive! And yet noone seems to care.. Edit: I forgot to add that the Sony laptop even has a Core i7 processor! How insane is that?!

Review up on Eurogamer: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/mass-effect-2-review 10/10. Damnit. Now I'm gonna HAVE to play through Mass Effect and pick up this game later.
