Valve has said that it is fixed. I have not verified it, but it may just work today. If not, let me know. -
Audio stuttering making gameplay difficult
J.Burke replied to Finnius's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The game is not playable without steam. The PC retail disc forces steam to be installed and then installs the game to your steam library and checks for updates. As far as I am aware, the game will not run without steam. Patches should automatically be downloaded through steam. -

GAME BREAKING BUG : Past bedtime during the day
J.Burke replied to sixer's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
What platform are you on? If you're on PC: Did you delete the intro videos from your game? Most people reporting this issue are people who followed online instructions on how to delete the splash screens when the game starts. Unfortunately, the instructions lead to the game getting stuck at some point because a critical video is erased. If that was the case, please verify game data through steam. If that does not fix, it then you'll have to reinstall the game. -

Game wont play
J.Burke replied to NicWil's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Steam beta has been causing lots of issues with our game. Please disable if you are participating. If you are not, try verifying your steam data. Running in compat mode also seems to fix this for some users. As a last resort, try reinstalling the game. -

Skipping cut scenes should have no effect on your character appearance. Is the game installed to harddrive? You may want to consider deleting your game cache and re-installing if possible. Please let me know if this helps: Insert the game disc From the Home hub, select the game in the drive tray, and then press Y. Select Delete. -
Entire Game Has Yellow Tint
J.Burke replied to Dallen's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
if it's a vmware specific issue, you're going to have to contact vmware for support. I'd recommend booting into an actual windows installation through something like bootcamp. -
PC Controller Support
J.Burke replied to GrimRadke's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Sorry you're having trouble with the controller. I use an xbox360 wired controller to play the game on PC as well, so it is definitely supported. Have you tried running in compatibility mode for windows 7? Can you post your dxdiag? Are there other applicaitons running that may be interfering? https://www.dropbox.com/s/45wzt6vi0pgrjhs/DxDiag.txt I was running a few things last night while playing but I tried again this morning with nothing else running and had the same problem. Im downloading the game on my other PC now to see if if runs any better. Alright. It looks like you're using an afterglow 360 controller, not the Microsoft 360 wired controller. Sadly, I'm seeing a lot of people have problems with using this device on windows (with lots of games). Some things to try: Apparently there is a reset pin on the controller. It should be a button in a tiny pinhole that you can use a paperclip to press. Hold it down for a few seconds. This will reset the controller. Check your driver: Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and sound -> Device manager. You should be able to find your Afterglow controller here. Right click -> update driver software -> browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer -> select XBOX 360 controller for windows version 2.1.0.1349 (or newer - mine is dated 8/13/2009 apparently). We do not want to run an afterglow specific driver if possible. Longshot but.. Some people are reporting that this device conflicts with other USB devices. If you have any other extra non-mouse/keyboard devices plugged into USB, try unplugging them and restarting. -
Entire Game Has Yellow Tint
J.Burke replied to Dallen's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
What version of windows are both of you running? If windows 8, try running the game in compatibility mode for win7. Attaching DXDiag txt might help because it will have additional information. -

Did you try verifying your steam data or reinstalling the game? Can you post dxdiag info? -
You may want to consider deleting the installed data and reinstalling. From XMB: Scroll to game -> click on Game Data Utility -> Press Triangle on South Park: The stick of Truth -> click Delete Run the game again and it will reinstall and repatch. If this does not fix your issue, please let me know how much free space you have on your harddrive. From XMB: Scroll to Settings -> click system settings ->click on system information -> give me "System SOftware" version and Free space information.

Entire Game Has Yellow Tint
J.Burke replied to Dallen's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This may be an issue with corrupted data / settings. The least effort fix for this would probably be to reinstall the game if you have not tried that already. Right click on the game in your library ->click delete local content -> click install again If this does not resolve your issue, please post the specs of your computer (run -> dxdiag and post the CPU, memory, and graphics card) and the contents of the ini file mentioned above. -
Scene loads but nothing happens.
J.Burke replied to Kentoss's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Kentoss, please let me know if this is the case. I do not advise that people delete any game files / videos out of their steam data. 000_newday.bk2 is not one of the intro spash videos. Things will break if it is missing. Please check your installation folder for "data/movies/000_newday.bk2". If it is not present then do the following: right click on game in your steam libraries -> click local files tab -> click verify integrity of game cache.... If it found missing files, great. You're probably good to go now. If it did not then: backup your save files found in your documents folder in "My Games\South Park - The Stick of Truth right click on game in your steam libraries -> click local files tab -> click delete local game content -> reinstall the game -
Cant use the left stick for turning
J.Burke replied to Nerzwerk's question in South Park: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Without trying it out myself with a PS3 controller (I don't have any sort of official PS3 controller drivers for windows), I can't give you a concrete answer as to what is happening. I know some third party PS3 drivers / software for windows give you the option to emulate an XBOX360 controller. I'm assuming that's the route your going with it? At the moment, all I can suggest to get past this part is to it play without a controller plugged in.
