  1. I see it a lot for "country level" directors in multinationals, too. (e.g. director of everything that firm has going on in country x)
  2. Hah, I decided to focus on leveling my imp agent, and I came back, not only to the announcement, but to see it already funded (last night). :D Needless to say, there's at least one forum member here who's dime you'll definitely be getting. Kind of bad time for me due to the fact I'm becoming a doctor in the next two months and am obliged to spend quite a chunk of dough on different kinds of administrative and traditional expenditures. Vacillating between 250 and 500, hoping I can scrape together enough for the 500, especially as a Mac version is of crucial importance to me...
  3. Their attempts at being "dark" having failed so horribly, as to basically not being there at all. In fact, I think it's almost a case of "it's so bad, it's good" in the sense that something that'd come a bit closer at succeeding in "dark fantasy" would probably irritate me a lot more. Now it's just as cookie-cutter, but without the dimensionality that a rich heritage like FR brings. I still think that a game that went back to the original post-apoc roots of Dragonlance would be awesome. Of course, I'm biased in the way that any DL game would be awesome. Guess I'm just channeling my inner gaming hipster, pining after a setting that was killed by its current owner
  4. Actually, I think you might have been accidentally right on the money.
  5. Like Dragon Age's setting? Yes, one of the bad examples I'm thinking.
  6. I'd vastly prefer a setting I know over a new one that desperately tries to be different, but fails.
  7. No. They've announced nothing, so I'm assuming that whatever they're working on is going to be "next gen". And that they've extended their production cycles, since it's been about as long from DA 2's release, as there was between the release of that game and its predecessor.
  8. Awesome stuff. Also glad to see that the "I'm too cool for high fantasy" thing is a misinterpretation by people who actually feel that way.
  9. Sounds quite plausible too considering the Feargus quote. Post-apoc fantasy, aka Dragonlance.
  10. This is almost on par with our profanity filter. I wonder what they'd do when faced with a program about ****pit voice recorders? (Probably red x's?)
  11. See, that would be consistent with my theory from yesterday.
  12. Thanks to yourself for your multithread advertising project, and welcome to my ignore list.
  13. Remember, though, the words mean nothing. Could be just the "4" and the Ouroboros that are actually important... That said, I've been looking forward to a new game to be excited about, and I now hope this could be it.
  14. It'll probably be a completely different mode
  15. What about it? Not sure if it was a reply to the right post, but I think it's more or less confirmed to have a tacked-on cooperative multiplayer.
  16. I forget if I've mentioned this before, but you know you've really ****ed up your life when you are seriously referred to as the resident "non-life specialist". (non-life insurance)
  17. I think you might have me beat by a two, but I haven't done it in a few weeks. Gonna take a day off from gaming today, haven't been getting enough sleep of late. Knight's been gearing up fairly nicely all things considered, but HM battle of ilum was a cluster**** (with a PUG). Need the token from that one for the Redeemer which I absolutely want, so have to prepare to grind out a few times.
  18. I wasn't interested in it before... coz it's a sequel to a Wii exclusive game. Some of us have to do actual work on the side of our gaming, can't spend all day trollin' the forums and rollin' the sites.
  19. Yeah, I look at all the web pages of all the games in development just to see what platforms they are released on.
  20. What platform? Epic Mickey 2 will be released on the HD consoles and PC (ok, I'm not 100% sure it will be released on PC, I'll need to double-check) too, aside from the Wii. That was news to me, thanks.
  21. Since the symptoms of an overblown ego and serious self-esteem issues are actually the same, I can't pick which one of the two it is. With all the **** yeah Australia posts he starts, I'm thinking the latter.
  22. I don't think faith requires you to think about it at regular intervals. Of course, that's also a matter of belief.
  23. I think the issue is that people take Mass Effect more seriously than it does itself. I never saw them denounce the "80s scifi pastiche" approach they had to the setting, and the music in 3 certainly supports this, as well. Not an excuse for the ending, but certainly for a lot of the other more aspy gripes. Also, DXHR is all about hitting the fourth button.
