It scales to level, purple is the best for that particular level - meaning that it could be pretty useless in the grand scheme of things.

I'm organising a viewing with our work movie club. So far got 0 people signed up in addition to myself. Top sign it's time to switch jobs, if they are too uptight to appreciate something like that.

The amount of tea-bagging in this thread has left pg13 behind!

Been playing quite a bit, got actually headhunted into a guild. Probably going to do some work on my imp char, been tapping out the watchman rotation until I'm blue in the face. Oh, and if someone wants an invite at all, I'll be happy to provide. I don't have enough speeders.

Zis one is working for me juust fine.

I like a week or so completely without touching a computer, but longer than that and I'd probably bring the tablet along, instead.

I sympathize, I've had a similar binge a few years back - I've also had the drink heavily binge and gaming is much easier to recover from, so Malcador is right in that regard. Still sucks when people around you are idiots though.. hope a better job, or at least some way to cope, presents itself. Thanks. I spend a lot of time wondering if there's something wrong with my attitude (I've basically had the same thing in every job for the past ~5 years), or if I've just been really, really unlucky. I'm a contractor, so a new job'll have to present itself in the next ~6 months, anyway.

There's no way anybody would (could?!) make a star wars game with choice that didn't have an ls/ds mechanic. The setting has that black and white morality. But, yes. Had my first unpleasant flashpoint experience yesterday with some "serious" gamers. Typically I also ****ed up about everything possible when in a group like that, so a nice time was had by all. The faster I find a chill social guild, the better off I'll be.

Look on the bright side, you could be one of those people that hits the bottle during those episodes! Turns out that gaming and comfort food aren't actually much better.

I've been having one of those I hate my life, my work and the people I work with episodes that has resulted in a lot of fairly late-night swtor. Along with a daily wakeup of 6am, this isn't exactly making me like the abovementioned things more.

Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Editions Announced
Nepenthe replied to Lorfean's topic in Computer and Console
There's one, it's called excel and microsoft even releases regular iterations of it. -
See, I knew we had to agree on something eventually. Unless you mean a flat tax rate, which I haven't quite been able to rationalise just yet. But all sources of income, definitely. (edit: well, rationalise was a bad choice of words, I can of course rationalise it, but not really accept it. Yet. Let's see how long I have to stay in the high end of the progression for it to start seeming like a really good idea)

Obviously not at 3 yet, but 2 has been less of a slog than 1... And then I got to Hoth! Well, at least the event's on so I have something to break the monotony.
-
... Meanwhile, I hit level 41 with my main. Planning on finishing the storyline with it (I'll probably hit 50 a lot before that), and then alternating between my inquisitor (probably gonna go tank assassin) and some light endgame stuff. Republic Act 2 has been mostly fun so far, but Hoth does have a slight look of probably being overlong (again).

Oh, ok, I see your point. Happily working artifice towards 400 has pretty much kept my knight and kira well-geared so far.
-
Eh, couldn't disagree more. I've made it to lvl 40 (ok, granted, just the one char - secondary parenthesis, I refuse to subscribe to wow neologisms and call them anything else ) and I haven't noticed a change in the difficulty of the game. There have been occasional difficulty bumps, in class quests of all things, but general gameplay has been pretty smooth. I keep a constant 3-4 levels over the recommended, though.

I often wish I could hold the (surprisingly widespread) opinion that the opinions posited by one party are always correct, while those of (an)other(s) are always utterly false. In fact, it's an interesting psychological phenomenon, but, yeah.

While I agree that there isn't a real stellar candidate here, people seriously put too much stock in who the President is. The balance of power is extremely effective at limiting what the executive branch can do. I dare say it's become too effective at it, based on the past few years. *cough filibusters cough*

Still ambling through the Jedi Knight storyline. Just hit 40 before making it to Hoth. The Belsavis bonus series (both of them) were the best I've played so far. Had an interesting episode today, was doing Maelstrom prison with the group finder... and some eejit had flagged himself as healer, while he was anything but. We actually managed to kill the first boss with that setup, but it went pete tong at the second one.... I still scored the sentinel robe from the first boss, so in spite of the whole thing being a failure, I finally managed to get something I liked the look of more than my Esseles robes. :D Still rocking my original lightsaber and Hammer Station Initiate pants, though.

Yeah, I can't really disagree much there. And while I think the mod added more waves of Bad Doodz, IIRC, the core experience wasn't that different in the vanilla game. The whole "use a shield or medpac in the inventory screen" dodge is invaluable there, especially if you hadn't put much effort into twinking out your companions' gear at a workbench. I made the mistake of basing the party for the G0T0's yacht on a roleplaying call of who the Exile would trust the most. That gave me Bao Dur and Atton (the latter of whom was a Jedi, but only at, like, level 2 in his Jedi class), who got rather torn apart by the robots until they managed to find the Protagonist. I think we've all made that mistake at some point. I know you brought up suppressed memories of my first kotor2 playthrough back in the day. *shudder*

His theory fits the evidence, so far. -
You've actually played the game since the last time this play was enacted in the obsidian board theatre?
