Hm, I pretty much loathe Corellia for the grindy-ness and godawful maps.. but no QT? There's a QT station around each monorail station as well as the one in the starport cantina.. Could've used a few more, the maps are big enough. This is my plan, though I want to gear the sentinel up a bit with at least some columi pieces and BH stuff from the comms. I'm only doing my initial round of dailies due to another "academic weekend", but so far the Ilum ones are boooring, while the Belsavis ones have a nice tempo (ie. seem pretty much easymode). Kind of worried how dull the black hole ones are going to be, especially since I'm probably going to have to grind those more than a few times to get a couple of BH pieces. IME that breaks up the second you go imperial, and even on the republic side they change those up occasionally to mess with you. Cue raised eyebrows and hit escape button.

Played it last night when my connection was too finicky for swtor... Was pretty good, positively surprised. There's several "investigation" sequences that are actually pretty good (unlike the ones in the main game). Story is really good on it's own, gives you some more background info for your Final Choice (there were some rumors pre-release that it might actually change the ending with more dialogue or something, but I CBA to play that far for now) and addresses some stuff that has seemed a bit random before. Mechanically the combat sections are quite boring, but they recycle ideas from the MP that add a bit of spice to it. Too bad said MP has kind of given me my share of cannibals, husks etc. All NPCs have new VO work, probably mostly thanks to the EC, but it still makes a big difference for the better. Subjectively not as good as Shadow Broker, objectively possibly better.

I did, and I'm claiming no bias, since I was totally unprepared for it. That said, I ****ing hate Corellia (the planet, not the server). (Virtually) No QT, missions long and boring and the commendations are next to useless to me (since the mod selection is abysmal, and I have little hope of scoring something worthwhile form my artifact box). Or maybe I've just been playing too much these past few days. :D

Or maybe your server is just better than mine! Five minutes of imperial general chat on, well, anywhere makes me want to punch my monitor. Poor thing.

Pub players' alts. I think I'm not gonna do any more group content on my imp agent apart from boarding party and the foundry...
-
Coz if the developers said it, it's not a spoiler, roight. Ok, I'll withdraw my earlier objection, begrudgingly.
-
Because that comparison is really useful as long as we don't know that you all played it on the same platform...
-
Thanks for the spoiler, ****.

The problem is that (at least on the imperial side) the mental age of the players is about 20 years less. This means that stuff like the opposite Side winning a dialogue will result in a ton of teenage whining. (I also saw some guys asking for a "couple of level 50s" help them with Hammer Station... I'm not sure HK-51 is worth having to play an Imp on Red Eclipse).

Pretty sure you can use UR-DEDs on all the breakable walls.

AD&D/Goldbox games. Of course, the issue with those is that the superior platform was different in practically all cases (for example, the mac version of Secret of the Silver Blades randomly had VGA level graphics, while the dos version was ega).

Nice that it finally showed up there, too bad it's still windows only.

Dinged 50 on my main yesterday. I always assumed it would be at the end of some epic planet-wide quest, not from destroying 5 backup power generators. Now playing to finish my story, then to see what the endgame's going to be for me. I've been having alternatingly awesome and miserable flashpoint experiences, so I'm still not sure if I suck or not. Also working on an imp agent, since the one thing that I really want to do is get hk-51 when he becomes available.

Forgot this earlier. I love it how it looks more and more like the bastard child of deus ex and bio shock, art directed by someone from Ward 6 (aka Antenna Ward, the mental section of the now defunct central army hospital in Helsinki)

See this is why I'm glad I've lost interest in DA, a set character that's part of the chantry. Probably only one class too. Except "the Inquisitor" is about as nameless and faceless as "the Warden" so it seems they're moving back to the more undefined protagonist from DA:O. It also says you've got three classes to choose from. Personally I think the defined character of Hawke was the least of DAII's problems though, so I don't know if this will matter to me, as much as the need for improved encounter design and camera control. Interest is still lukewarm at best. Isn't "the Inquisitor" Cassandra from DA2? She was a "seeker", not on inquisitor. So not necessarily. Again, I'm sure nobody's literary sensibilities will be offended by reading just the ad copy for the novel, which is (all that/what) I suggested earlier.

DVD? Oh, right, I remember DVD, it was that thing that came after VHS, before blu-ray and digital distribution? Love the two muppets in the middle who almost succeed in ruining the whole thing.

That's not a cause for complaining, that's just blatantly stupid.

Gaming to midnight to get up at the same hour is starting to show on my face.

Anyone who's even read the blurb about Gaider's last novel could've put together that much about the story. Personally, am pissed off they left us hanging with Hawke. Would've liked to see the story finished as they had intended.

I can do solo/2-man content to a degree, but frankly if it requires communication faster than typing, I'm not gonna be bothered to do it.

750 points is, indeed, social 2 and you start at 0. A lot of people, including myself, never realise this, since they normally get it either on their starting planet or on Essels/Black Talon. And yes, it's a bit easier to get the points now. Which is good, the old system was way too tight with the points. There's something I've been wondering. When/if they release new story content, what tends to be required power level in wow style mmos? Will it assume I've actually participated in end-game raiding, or that I have more or less what I would have picked up on the way? I doubt I'm going to have patience (or obsession, whichever you prefer) for the current end-game content apart from trying to put together a set that's primarily visually appealing.

The leveling speed slows down, but it's kind of gradual. I mean, I'm leveling my first alt now and I get 5 levels in 90 minutes, while it's touch and go if I can get a level on my main in one night's play. It's funny, I only really notice the change when I compare the two extremes. For what it's worth, I only started playing again last week after a ~6 month break. I kept my subscription active, though, since it was more a question of work just piling up and less of me getting bored of the game or something. I've gotten to the point where we set up a meeting hour with my new British friend and run through the planet quests and our respective class quests. We also have enough of overlevel and well-equipped companions that we can do even the 4 man heroics just the two of us. Has worked wonders to my bankroll and social points, even though I might take a major hit on companion influence due to the amount of dialogues I lose. Edited: forgot to finish my though in the first paragraph.

And it's worth noting that respeccing is free once per week (I have no idea how much the cost goes up, I've only done it once!) As Spider said, if you like dpsing and maybe healing, both sides have alternatives that allow you to switch between the two just by respeccing (trooper and jedi consular on rep). Also, it's worth pointing out (as it wasn't obvious to me), that it's the orange stuff that can be invaluable for levels. Orange gear is basically just containers for mods, and some slots (belts, bracers) are very exotic. If you don't particularly care about appearance, it's less important as you'll get better gear, but I'm still using my initial lightsaber and used the robe from the first flashpoint until last week.
