  1. Read alanschu's post again.
  2. Let's all calm down have a big bowl of tasty, freshly made soup together.
  3. On that note: Obs, make a Sex-Playing Game, or Role-F**** Game, and you'll get more money than Blizzard and NCSoft zusammen.
  4. The Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary in August.
  5. Do you really think that's the most important part of the game? /facepalm
  6. Finally finished. It was ..wonderful. Simply wonderful. My patience and brain worked overtime (earn your happy ending indeed), but finally got the true ending, which was very satisfying (except for the poor Kid). To tell the truth, by the end the game became so great, I'm sorry it ended, and wouldn't mind it going on. The art (mainly the CG Events) are beautiful, as is the music (think Deus Ex, Unreal and Final Fantasy -ish). As I said in the picture thread, it's a japanese visual novel (choose your own adventure books with voice over and music), with a very complex (comes close to the Legacy of Kain series) and compelling plot, which, while explained in the end, still teases you to figure out just what the hell is going on. The main plot is this: at the beginning you choose one of two characters: Takeshi, an idiot, or Kid, a young boy with amnesia. These two and several other people get trapped in an underwater theme park, where they are trying to survive until help arrives, while some of them chase after their own agendas. And afterwards dealing with the problems presented by the repercussions of the accident. The characters are complex, and presented as simple humans with virtues and flaws (Takeshi for instance, tells crappy jokes, doesn't think stuff through, but is determined to help everyone who needs it). I honestly suggest it to anyone who likes good plots and/or great atmosphere.
  7. Grim Reaper disagrees. I remember a Fallout PnP Special Encounter where you could get his scythe. Oh and the scythes in DnD are among the least stupid weapons.
  8. Still playing Ever 17. After 2 weeks the story finally starts making sense. My brain is spent.
  9. Oh, my bad then.
  10. Yeah, you can see it in a few gameplay videos. It's a skill though, not a perk.
  11. And there's no server to get hacked or go down in a single player.
  12. Aaron's been getting that since before I started working with him at Black Isle. There are worse people to look like than Iron Man. Great, now I can only imagine him flying to work in his armor and blowing up half the parking lot every morning. All the while looking really cool, naturally.
  13. Where did this question come from? It came from my sick, twisted and sleep-deprived mind, if you must know. I guess I should have been more clear and asked which RPGs was he comparing against. But the examples folks have put forth so far aren't RPGs, but games where free-roaming is, if not the central force behind the game, at least a very important part. How about I go asking around the Paradox boards for characters and writing in the level of MotB? Do you think that's sensible? edit: Argh, ninja'd! Well, you asked which games had cities that looked/felt like the real ones, we just answered.

  15. Let's settle with a draw?
  16. I don't mind missing out on some guns, but yeah, thanks for the effort from me too.
  17. Anti-aliasing makes the edges of polygons/objects smoother. Argh, got ninja'd by a snake-thing.
  18. It felt asian to me. Futuro-asian, but asian. Err... has it? Can you give a few examples so we know what you're referring to specifically, and what standards are you measuring against? GTA games for instance. Or so I heard.
  19. We "resurrected" them with a mixture of red herbs, water and dirt.
  20. Luckily, Ragnarok ends with a Reset.
  21. God gets a gut shot from the Saint of Killers.
  22. You realize this isn't the LucasArts forum, right? Just voicing my hopes and some disappointment I felt with Unleashed. Ah, I see.
  23. You realize this isn't the LucasArts forum, right?
  24. Achieving it? A few liters of russian water? Chris Avellone? The possibilities are endless. @.@
