  1. I was asking for the opinion of people who played it, duh.
  2. Roughnecks Numa Numa
  3. Already did, slowpoke. http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showt...=52914&st=0
  4. I've been curious about this for a while, if the publishing/advertising is Sega's job, why does the developer company have a marketing person/staff (Mr Rorie)? Sega could just as well send someone over and ask what you think the guy should emphasize in interviews, no? And no, I'm not implying he should get fired, before some genius asks. -.-

    Axis in WWII

Just to avoid confusion, I'm talking to MC. You know, I wrote down twice that I'm neither talking nor caring about the politics here, we're talking economy. You said Hitler reduced Germany to rubble. I pointed out to you, a WW just ended a few years ago, if Hitler reduced Germany to rubble, he first had to rebuild Germany from ground up. And he did just that. If you deny that fact just because he was Nazi, then you're just a nazism obsessed, narrow minded fool. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Are you implying I accept Nazism just because I see more than just NAZI BAAAD, ENGLAND GOOOD? If not, then I didn't say anything. This though: unique evil of nazism? Don't make me laugh please. When Hungary was a big kingdom, it treated the conquered kingdoms' people like second class citizens, for which we were (rightly) hated. England wasn't any kinder to it's colonies. July 4 remind you of anything? Or that funny little triangle, slaves produce sugar, which gets processed into alcohol, which gets traded for more slaves? Or England's and Eagleland's black is inferior mentality? KKK? Ancient Rome maybe? Everyone's done it, hardly unique.
  7. Weird War, Another War, Original War, kinda hard to tell them apart. Or to remember. Thanks though. Anyway, back to the original question: Anyone know this? Opinions?
  8. On that note, have some cherry+banana flavored tea, very delicious. I won't offer you scone though, it's horribly dry.

Please read my post, and while at it, some history too. I wasn't talking about the government, but a country who lost a world war. You know, bombed, drained and lots of dead? Weimar was working on rebuilding Germany, but Hitler did too, not just started shouting BLITZKRIEG BLITZKRIEG as soon as he became chancellor. And please enlighten me on how democracy makes any government superior to another, or how it's existence magically solves every problem a country has, o great pupil of senator Amidala? We get to choose our idiots instead of letting them crowning themselves. Yay. Scratch that last one, I don't care.
  10. Umm, no, I really stopped caring about being nice* per se. *According to how I define nice of course.

You're forgetting that Germany wasn't any better off before the second war than after. He rebuilt the country, revived the economy and gave the people a purpose! ..THEN reduced everything back to rubble.
  12. Thanks but no luck. Oh well.
  13. Hello. Unfortunately, I'm not, but that doesn't mean I'm bad either.
  14. Nope, was there perhaps a "virtual" tutorial room? If not then it must have been the menus and maybe the effects(looking at screens, most of them are blueish). The menu and clothes mostly, the other two things not particularly.
  15. There was an old (somewhere between 2001-2003) world war 2 RPG parody, it had a yellow submarine at one point, does it ring any bells for anyone? It was supposed to be good, but when I bought it, it turned out to be another game with a similar title. :/
  16. I'm sorry, but what? You end the game then either click on New Game or Exit Game, and it's presumptious if they give you a reason to choose the former? No. He's basically saying that developers should put all the content in from the get-go, because it is presumptious of them to expect players to enjoy the game so much that they would want to play through it all again. His opinion is fair enough. Ah, I understand. I disagree in that AP is MADE to be replayed, it's half the point of the whole gig. Aside from that, it would be kind of awkward of the devs to make a game while convincing themselves that no one will/should want to touch it again after the first play through. Or would you prefer a fan petitioned suave DLC?

    MMOs

My minions shall tear this thread apart after I finish assessing who shall be spared. Currently Purkake, G1fted and RPGmaster are on that list. All others, beware. Especially Maria.
  18. Graphics were kinda ugly but a: we don't care about that, b: had at least pretty colors. The combat system had a few small problems - namely some moves required almost the same buttons to execute, which sometimes led to..complications. Nothing serious though. The AI was superb for it's time, enemies manouvered, picked up dropped weapons(!), etc. Oh yeah, cutscenes didn't have moving mouths, portraits were shown instead. Horrible. @Purkake: Of course you remember ****ing blue, that was the main characters "uniform" color.

  20. Anachronox by Tom Hall, Ion Storm Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator by Valkyrie Studios Both are JRPG style games, notable for unique and interesting worlds (Anachronox - whacky sci-fi, Septerra - sci-fi/fantasy mix with biotechnology and magic), interesting stories, and most everything else that comes with JRPGs. Anachronox was heavily packed with humor and interesting characters, in contrast Septerra had a longer story and (exhausting) dungeon crawling with some unique combat mechanics. Oni by Bungie A TPS with manga style graphics, primarily focusing on hand-to-hand combat instead of guns with a nice story and atmosphere. Emphasis on nice, not awe inspiring. Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising by Rage Games A Battlezone-like TPS/RTS hybrid, where you are the captain of the Creation Engine fitted ship Antaeus, last line of defense between the peaceful world and a cabal of old world dictators. Your ship is capable of scanning in, customizing and building high-tech vehicles from minerals (read: the smoking remains of your enemies) for your remote, or your veteran soldiers' personal use. Fun and pretty challenging missions throughout. The story does it's job, nothing earth shattering, but not bad either.

Interesting, though not surprising. History classes were always focusing on the "big" countries, so thanks for the lesson.
  22. This It's even better when playing it. Hurts. To. Watch.

That too, but what I exactly meant was some... I don't know, yearly commemoration or something like that. From how my teacher phrased it, it came off more like having a 'blame the germans of today so they feel bad' instead of 'mourn the victims of the past' feel to it.
  24. No Oni or Masters of Orion sadly.

I'm kinda lazy to search my notebooks for that particular lesson in school, so I'm not heartbroken.
