I have to say, I really like the initial plot. Your fate is written until you die. Some mage or whoever resurrects you, so there is a person unbound by fate. On the other hand, I doubt they delve into the idea that the mage succeeding in his experiment and creating a free person is the result of fate or not.

Salvatore is actually only doing world building. History, religions etc. And GW isn't cartoony. WoW is. And TOR.

Good thing I'm not the wild mage. Half the group would be disintegrated by now and one turned into stone. Or a dragon. Maybe a stone dragon.

I liked Dark Crusade's protrayal of space marines. All Thule had to say during stronghold missions was "You can't break us!" and "Die xeno filth!", and managed to lose every single verbal duel in the game. Even against the orks and tau!
