  1. after DA2 I'm a lot less excited about mass effect 3... hopefully the game is fantastic, but im not as confident as i feel like i should be
  2. it would be rad if they just did a nice big expansion pack and 1-2 new vegas sized dlc's
  3. Tough question. I think I still just prefer the Fallout setting over ES, and so I still had more fun with Fallout 3. But I think Bethesda made a huge improvement from Oblivion to Fallout 3, and they continued to refine themselves in Skyim (rather than slipping.) But yeah, none of these compare to New Vegas. They just lack the writing and subtlety of an Obsidian game. this
  4. here's some news: next year looks pretty shabby for games imo. except diablo 3, and guild wars 2 if it actually gets released.
  5. no contest. new vegas is way better than skyrim. but skyrim is still way better than oblivion, so i can't call skyrim anything but an improvement for bethesda.
  6. i see absolutely nothing wrong with pursuing pirates and thieves. i support this 10000x more than putting in DRM that only hurts paying customers.
  7. * Ranked 5349th with 922.0 hours played * Has played 52 games out of 120. You can also view unplayed and played games * Owns 120 games for a total worth of $1422.12 (at the games' current prices) * Ten games entrerix currently owns are on sale. View all of them? * Their overall account cost per hour of gametime of the games list below is $1.54 does this include hours on games you've uninstalled? edit: also, i've pretty much only bought about 4 games for over 5 bucks, so the value of my account is a lot more than what i paid for it...
  8. oh. NOW i see why this thread is still open. It's full of gold!
  9. i get a significant amount of pleasure out of the fact that volourn actually makes more sense than Dr. Quin why is this thread even open?
  10. i've been thinking of doing this for my next pc, the pieces that worry me most are the motherboard and processor. i've installed graphics cards and ram and power supplies before though, so it shouldn't be too much harder right... do you have a good guide you've been using? any tips you could share with me?
  11. zombie island of dr ned or zed or whatever loved that dlc that might be the only dlc-sized dlc i really liked, every other dlc i have ever played for any game ever i would have rathered it just been bundled into a real expansion pack for each respective game.
  12. prosper is like a troll-king mixed with a goblin-wizard. his thread deserves a special award for best thread of the year.
  13. i buy a lot of games every year, at such low prices, it's really hard not to. i try not to go too crazy though, i really don't like buying bad games, and thats happened more in the past 2 years than in probably the 5 years before
  14. 50+ games im mostly glad i bought on steam: Dead Island (NA) Gemini Rue Avadon Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 Skyrim Bastion Costume Quest Painkiller Complete Pack - Summer Sale 2011 (RoW) Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath of Death VII Double Pack The Binding Of Isaac Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Standard Edition (Pre-Order) Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues DLC Mass Effect Worms Reloaded Frozen Synapse - Two Pack Two Worlds II Lucasarts Jedi Knight Bundle Star Wars: KOTOR Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Super ID Software Pack Total War: Shogun 2 Portal 2 PS3 - PC Retail Fallout New Vegas Honest Hearts DLC Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition SEGA Genesis Classics Collection (NA) Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition Lara Croft GOL Battlefield Bad Company 2 Standard Edition Sid Meier's Pirates! 15. i prefer a disc most of the time, but $60 games on steam sell for FIVE bucks during great sales, for that price, its basically a rental, that you get to play forever, and on as many computers as you can buy. i have probably fifty games on my steam account, and only paid over $10 for maybe 5 of them... steam = the thrifty gamers paradise
  16. is it a pc game? am guessing it is probable a handheld or somesuch. very limited depth, no? gonna satisfy a western crpg gamer who has played other obsidian titles such as kotor 2 and motb? you and your three cartoon pals wander 'round a small town in colorado and do... what exactly? silly stuff, right? is a ridiculous starting point from which to build a robust western crpg. HA! Good Fun! i play western crpgs, fallout is my favorite. I loved mother/earthbound. Why does the genre of game matter?
  17. i liked it, but yet hate so much about it. still, in the end what matters is that i had enough fun playing it that i was glad i did. It was however, $20 too expensive. It felt like a slapped together game, and shouldn't have been the same price as DAO.
  18. what about mother/earthbound? that game is basically south park the rpg, minus the crass humor, plus tons of heart. (ie its about 4 normal kids who uses yo-yo's and baseball bats etc to ward off weird goings on after a ufo crashes in their small town, they get money from their parents to buy new gear from the local stores, fight neighborhood bullies, deal with new threats like ghosts and zombies, learn magic from an alien, etc etc)
  19. making the mechanics "fun" would be hard to do I'd wager.
  20. Are they on PC? the recent ones have mostly been on handhelds (nintendo ds), there was one on the gamecube, and of course the original on the snes.
  21. still no takers? mario rpg games? they are good. they are turn based. they are funny.
  22. the first witcher was definitely better than the second, sorry to say i liked the first, didn't love it though, and found the second to be lacking in a lot of areas. Which was really sad, because they did so much right with it, but just enough wrong that the game wasn't very fun to actually play.
