the design for most of the armors i've seen so far look better than oblivions stuff. these definitely fit that trend of vast improvements.
im still guessing that morrowind will retain the superior art design, but im not going to complain because morrowind was really exceptional, and its too high a standard to hold most games art direction against.
i guess that its very non-intrusive is making me less annoyed about it, but my primary annoyance began when EA started pulling stuff from steam to make it origin exclusive. annoying to say the least. but i guess if i have to play 1-2 games a year via origin it won't be the end of the world, so long as they dont require constant internet connection (or any connection at all past the activation)
guild wars was awesome, i've never played an mmo so i cant compare guild wars to any of them, but that game was really really awesome. I'm very excited about the sequel too.
wait, they want you to pay more to pre-order, that sounds like an error... most companies try to give you things to encourage a pre-order, otherwise, whats the point of pre-ordering? its not like they are going to sell out of copies
i'd jump onto Origin right now if they would offer some kind of crazy sale. the sale would have to be better than steam holiday sales to get my interest though. if its only just as amazing as steam, then i will just keep using steam.
i'm going to try to stretch my current pc setup (ie 9800gtx, 6 gigs of ram, ok cpu) until fallout 4 or half life 3, whichever is released first...
we'll see if i can get 2 more years out of it (which is how long i expect before we get fallout 4)
I don't really care about the graphics. I think the game already looks fine enough on console tbh.
Depending on CPU, your card might still be enough for High, but not for Ultra. There's a good specs thread over on Bethsoft forums.
thanks for that link, very informative thread!
i've decided that instead of just flat out ignorning BF3 because of origin, i'm just going to wait for it to cost $20 before picking it up. so... black friday?
i appreciate GTA games, but the only one i genuinely loved was Vice City. 3, San Andreas, and 4 were all fun, and impressively made, but not my cup of tea.
Red Dead Redemption however, is a fantastic game in every sense of the word.
heart attack of joy.
i think they need to keep some of the gameplay elements from DA2, but otherwise, make a game that is more like dragon age 1. and for gods sake, make the world interesting! i haven't been interested in talking to a quest-giver in a bioware game since baldurs gate 2.
im way too excited about this game.
between this and diablo 3 coming soon, i'm going to be set for a long long time when it comes to certain types of game cravings.
fictitious update:
that dork is probably an investment banker now and rolling in dough. meticulous planner obsessed with money...
wait, maybe he is a bank robber.
