  1. At least she didn't spout "I will be your doom!!"
  2. I don't trust that Stony the "Stone Fist" sneaking up on that girl like that.
  3. TRS-80? That's a bit from before my time.
  4. Hey, collecting all nirnroots in the game takes time.
  5. April Ryan in TLJ is my favourite game character of all time... also the game has the most bitter-sweet ending I've ever experienced - both climactic & anti-climactic. Kate Walker in Syberia, the way she changes throughout the journey culminating in the 'choice' she makes at the end... and also the ending of Syberia 2. A moment involving her & Oscar (the automaton-butler) that was supposed to be emotional didn't do anything to me, though. And heck, Bobbin Threadbare meeting his mother in Loom made me cry when I was an 8-year old kid playing it as one of my first video games ever. EDIT: not to forget, a certain moment in Beyond good & evil involving a ruined, empty lighthouse, Jade & her dog Woof.
  6. Actually, David Eddings (who just passed away in June this year) would have been an excellent writer for BioWare. He always used the same similar stories & characters
  7. When it comes to banter, nothing can beat TLJ & Broken Sword games. Crow's a killer. Pity he's so annoying in Dreamfall.
  8. That's all great, Ragnar, really. Now get back working on Dreamfall Chapters & TLJ 2.
  9. I felt really bad initially upon seeing how Renegade FemShep handled that fanboy in the Citadel... but then I laughed. Same happened with executing the one Asari on Feros & the other one in Virmire.
  10. Leliana coming from a nunnery explains her somewhat extreme reaction when PC-heavily armored dude destroyed the urn in that other video. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with religious fanatics in my party, though. Killing because "the Maker" told her to, and all that... sounds like she's psychotic. Could be useful though to put a belt of deadly fire traps on her and send her into a horde of mooks.
  11. She's just your average Republican army chick, holding petty grudges over the forces that kicked grandaddy's behind. Maybe instead she should've been ashamed for grandaddy's incompetence/cowardice in battle.
  12. It seems that after every single fight in the game, the characters are completely covered in blood from head to toe. It's almost burlesque... blood doesn't sprinkle or spray like that. In that Leliana video, for instance, it was hilarious how the girl cut up some mooks and then calmly introduced herself when she looked like she had just made a 8-hour shift in an industrial butchery.
  13. Ashley is a deep, well developed character. She knows poetry. There should've been an option to at least boot her off the ship once you become the Captain.
  14. I'd imagine they'd look like organic versions of Geth. Create robots in your own image, and all that. In other words: yuck.
  15. Cool. A character with a dark past... (In before tvtropes link). Since I'll probably play as a thief/rogue myself first time, though, she'll most likely have to stay in her nunnery. That is, if there truly are no forced companions in the game.
  16. She was exactly like that chick from Third Rock from the Sun... only not alien.
  17. Apparently it was Zervan. It's from The two thrones.
  18. I did. Ashley's really a female dog. There should've been a renegade option there to pop a hole in her skull.
  19. Maybe modern day BioWare creates storylines & characters by means of a specially programmed software agent that randomly takes excerpts from tvtropes 24/7.
  20. Isn't Zevran the name of the evil Vizier in Sands of Time? That said, I do not want some pansy Elf in my party. Luckily this dark & gritty game obliges by making it possible to slaughter those overly eager to join.
  21. Divinity 2 has been shown in PAX and is to be released in the USA by CDV in December.
  22. I'm stuck with a hot & noisy Nvidia card since I'm not allowed to open my computer to not render the warrant void. But at least Nvidia drivers don't tend to conflict with my motherboard drivers like ATI's used to do.
  23. Does the romance still work if you treat her like dirt the entire game, though? I finished Drakensang, and have nothing new to play at the moment. Maybe I'll replay Drakensang with a new class.
  24. Until something blows up (Challenger '86) or half a million Mercedes Benz need to be returned to the factory due to 'oversights'.
  25. To be fair, my 8800GT sounds like a Cessna itself when it needs to run graphically demanding games.
