  1. It's a random encounter. There are many of those. For the same, you might've run into a Deathclaw... happened to me the first time I played the game and just got out of the Vault.
  2. Furries! Scalies! Crab overload! Viconia?
  3. But I already saved the galaxy! Twice, even.
  4. I would've thought "Dark" and "Heroic" were mutually exclusive. No matter how big a jerk one chooses to be during the game, in the end one slays the Big Bad Dragon anyway. In the Witcher, in the end things either stayed the same or worsened depending on the faction one had chosen... but Geralt fulfilled his own personal quest, which was the only thing that really mattered for him.
  5. The only time scanning is fun, is with Uranus.
  6. It's because Berlusconi's Charisma is at 18.
  7. Has anyone managed to kill the Thresher maw on Insanity without using the Cain?
  8. Two-handed does most damage.
  9. Don't forget to trigger the Killer Bunny.
  10. Only some innuendo. In the first game there was a 'romance' with an Elf, though, IIRC. And of course you could carry along a bed in your inventory.
  11. At least she didn't call Shepard a god. I really wish there were a Renegade interrupt on Freedom's Progress.
  12. Cons: Hillbillies/half-naked cultists that are tougher than Enclave troopers due to ridiculous damage system. Argonian voice actor. Feral Ghoul Reavers. Pros: double-barreled shotgun. One excellent sidequest. One rather surreal cutscene.
  13. It was possible to avoid stealth in BG&E and simply fight the Alpha Sections. But it all came down to spamming Jade's Whirlwind attack.
  14. I have no problem with action in adventure games. Early adventure games like Quest for Glory, Conquest of the Longbow, Monkey Island series, Fate of Atlantis, Full Throttle had action. The most unique adventure game of all time, Dune 1, even had strategy elements. Problem about Dreamfall's action is that it feels incredibly clunky & is just filler. But luckily most of the time it can be bypassed with stealth.
  15. I'm about halfway through the main quest of the Drakensang prequel. But I'm taking my time doing side quests and gathering ingredients/resources for alchemy/crafting. Radon Labs have outdone themselves. The game improves on Drakensang in every way, save graphics.
  16. Starring Freddie Prinze Jr?
  17. Progressing a storyline through puzzle solving is exactly the gameplay in adventure games. Whether it is braindead or not, depends on the difficulty of the puzzles. I wouldn't call Riven or Schizm braindead...
  18. It is a known issue with trying to run Dreamfall on a notebook with that graphics card. It is recommended to install 81.98 drivers. Also note that Dreamfall uses StarForce.
  19. I can understand why no one wants to farm in the Capital Wasteland, when around level 20 Deathclaws start to appear outside Megaton.
  20. I vote for a game called The Sims 5: Post-Nuclear Wasteland.
  21. Betrayal at Krondor came out 5 years before Return to Krondor, was written by Raymond Feist himself, and is abandonware. For Drakensang or otherwise DSA fans, while Shadows over Riva may be on GoG too (not sure), the first two, Blade of Destiny & Star Trail are also abandonware. A nice thing about Drakensang: River of Time is that there are a number of references to the Nordland trilogy.
  22. Is Fortification or Geth Shield Boost better than Barrier? I picked Barrier as a contingency for when Shepard's shields run out.
  23. If I remember correctly where one gets the Helmet of Balduran - that whole mess with the werewolves really isn't worth it.
  24. And everything that can't get cracked gets destroyed by a disinformation campaign anyway. Huzzah!
  25. Judging from the Dalish Elf origin, there's more to it than that.
