  1. My idea is to turn it into Trumps... uh.. summer home for the rest of his life.
  2. Heritage Foundation (Project 2025 etc) is looking at Europe now: https://www.desmog.com/2025/03/14/heritage-foundation-project-2025-allies-mcc-ordo-iuris-discuss-dismantling-the-eu-european-union/
  3. I never finished FF8... but more so because it felt like this game just didn't end. And every chapter started the same way, with one character being in a coma. But thinking about it now, I believe that I never fully understood the combat either. For example I had no idea how to fire the gunblade. And I probably never ever used a single limit break.
  4. Yes, limit break is necessary at that point. Enemies get so much hp, if you are capped at 9999, you'll die of old age before the fight ends. The story path is probably still ez, dunno (didn't progress much there since). But everything related to side content has sharply increased in difficulty.
  5. Ah, I wouldn't say that I played the game wrong. It's just that the parrying mechanic is extremely important and up until the very late game you can easily ignore it. Technically I can still mostly ignore it and just dodge, but then a majority of the late game fights will become extremely tedious and long. You need to parry to break enemies faster and deal extra damage.
  6. Germany has many safeguards for this. It is really hard to ban political parties and can't be done "just so" - even the NPD many years ago, was never banned. In the end, what they did was to stop the funding and the problem solved itself. Just keep that in mind when you read about banning parties.. it's not easy and it can't happen from one day to the next. It's taken extremely serious. That said, ofc I agree that removing the party in itself does not solve the issues that created it in the first place. In the end, it probably will cause the other big parties to once again sit on their asses and not doing anything substantial again. It's quite infuriating.
  7. It doesn't really mean much yet, but it could help in banning the party at some point down the line.
  8. Still playing Expedition 33. I'm in - probably - the last chapter now and oh boy, suddenly everything is ganking me. Thought I was strong now, but nope.
  9. "Made in USA from domestic and imported resources." lol, what a hogwash. What did they do? Slap some american-made stickers on the chinese-made product?
  10. I really hate this dumb woman. You think it can't get worse, and then they pulled out this She-Goebbels.
  11. Just finished watching 1883. Was a lot better than 1923 - felt more grounded in reality and with less cheap drama events.
  12. I don't think people should call them conservatives anymore. IMO it's more like regressives, because there's nothing conserving about anything they do.
  13. Wasn't the real issue that all those oblivion gate maps were copy&paste the same stuff?
  14. tbh I wouldn't even call it an RPG, since there is no choice and consequences, which is the bare minimum requirement an RPG needs to have for me. But this is more like a general definition issue, I guess, since for some reason people call anything an RPG as long as there are some attribute points to spend.
  15. It's quick time events in combat. To increase your damage, you have to hit the attack button at the right time (not that hard to do). On enemy attack, you either dodge, parry, or jump to avoid, mitigate damage, or counter attack. This is the part that feels kinda Dark Souls-ish, but so far it's not *that* hard. Also you can change the difficulty settings at any time to "story mode", which makes it a lot easier as well. Personally I'm playing on default. Some fights have been harder and I had to repeat them a couple times, but it feels quite rewarding once you memorize attack pattern and get through it on your own. I am in act 2 now with approx 16 hours played. Needed a break right now, but will continue later today. The characters are very likeable and it's generally a quite addictive game. The only thing that kinda bothers me is the lack of a map and directional guidance at times. You need to watch your surroundings closely, or you can end up running in circles a lot.
  16. Hate it when people compare those games. Avowed doesn't even try to be like Oblivion or Skyrim or whatnot. It's not that kind of game.
  17. I actually started the ME remaster thingy a few weeks ago. Oh boy did ME1 age badly instead of just upping the graphics and some slight interface changes, I would have liked it a lot if they completely overhauled the combat and some other stuff. It just feels... not great. Navigating the dialog trees is very annoying as well, since you always get send back to the root node after clicking on something. Crazy how this was the pinnacle of RPG gaming back then.
  18. Yes, it slowly introduces you to walking, talking, picking up items, your first combat, looting crates, stealth, etc. and it's so god damn slow, occasionally broken up with bringing back the janky NPCs with their janky NPC combats where they glide over the floor into each other until someone dies. It's just not very cinematic, even when polished up in the new remake. It just feels very dated now. I can accept such jank easily if the rest of the game is good, but Oblivion is just such a turn-off for me, I can't. In FNV on the other hand, I have no issues with it at all, because everything else is easily carrying it.
  19. Oblivion is the first time where Bethsoft introduced their very boring and unskippable intro tutorials. It just feels like it never ends and keeps on going and going...
  20. Played some Expedition 33 on game pass. 3 hours so far and I'll continue for sure. I like how very french it feels. Also has that classic jrpg thing going on, which I didn't thought would still be a thing today. In some way it has vibes of a game from 15 or 20 years ago.
  21. Oh, I forgot about the banker... he was ridiculously evil. As if making him a greedy banker wasn't enough, they needed to add some sex kink stuff on top to really sell it. The only thing missing was him twirling his mustache. He is basically this guy: I haven't watched 1883, maybe I will now.
