  1. I find this interesting: http://asidcast.com/index.php/2014/11/new-drm-denuvo-might-damaging-ssd/ Apparently the Denuvo DRM is bad for your SSD if you got one. It ain't that good for yer old HDD either, though.
  2. Hm while we are at the Xbox 360 controller again: Is it true that it needs 2 AA batteries? Can't be recharged simply with a usb cable, like the PS3 controller? If so, how long does that thing work with fully loaded batteries?
  3. Not sure what you mean. I have fairly small hands and it's perfectly comfortable and I like the way the general position/gripping works. Hubby has very large hands and he hasn't mentioned any comfort issues. Buttons seems fine. We haven't used it to play a ton of games, however. Mostly Borderlands series. Hubby used it to play Rage, Overlord, and some others. The battery pack isn't an issue for me (small fingers) but like Humanoid I think hubby has occasionally found it a little annoying, but not overly so/very often. I have arthritic thumbs so eventually using the sticks starts to hurt, but if you don't have arthritis, not an issue. I've ordered a wireless Xbox 360 controller now. Should hopefully arrive in two days or so. Dark Souls 1 arrived today, and damn... The controls are horrible. :> DS2 feels so much more smooth to play. So far it's still quite easy and I've leveld up a bit. Guess in the not so sooner future it will start to kick my ass, though.
  4. Wireless Xbox. Hubby/we use it, never had issues. I could be wrong, but seems like it's the most supported re: pc games. eg, occasionally a game officially only supports the Xbox one, where maybe you can get others to work but it takes some tweaking. I prefer not having to tweak, because I'm lazy. The one thing is hubby wishes the pad that controls, say, switching weapons in BL (the big plus-sign like button on the left) had individual buttons to press vs. the connected/sorta sliding action surface, because it tends to wear out if you use it a lot. Did that make sense? Don't know how the PS3 controller works, don't have one. But is it clumsly? On photos that controller looks kind of uncomfortable.
  5. If it's true, then he probably is one of the smartest victims- because you really don't post stuff about your own investigations, like various women did in the past. Everything you say about it makes it easier for the other side to prepare for whatever comes to them.
  6. But not in a filthy part of town, pls.
  7. Quick people, I am 85% done with my "PC to TV" setup and now I must make a decision: Either I am buying a bluetooth dongle and use my PS3 controller with it (which - as far as I've read - might make some troubles, as the PS3 then might get confused with the signals)... ... or I am buying a new controller only for playing on my PC / TV system. I probably prefer this solution, but then the next question comes: What kind of controller should I buy? It has to be wireless in any case. Some custom thingy? A simple XBox or XBone controller? (Never used an XBox controller, so I dunno if it's better or worse than the PS3 version)...
  8. Oh god, how can you watch this. I've seen it in free tv and it was worse than the movies of the year 2000s catastrophy movie time. Not even trying to concentrate on only Misha Collins could save it for me.
  9. This is exactly how I imagined WW2.
  10. Watched Guardians of the Galaxy. Fun movie. Would watch a follow up movie. Also watched the latest RoboCop. Was ok. It's my first RoboCop movie, to be honest. Never watched the originals, because it always sounded way too cheesy for my taste.

That could work. After all, who would bomb an old man in a house? Good thinking!
  12. If it would be for me, I'd say "thanks, but please give the money to a charity of some sorts." Really, I don't think accepting this gift (or giving it in the first place) is a good idea. /Edit: Besides, if it really has nothing to do with politics, as is stated at the bottom of the page, then it is still a bad idea, because he certainly isn't the only one on the team who did the work. He is just the most prominent face. So if it really has to be, then it should be a gift for everyone involved, imo.

That's why I also think that a Zeppelin would be better: You could have a big platform at the bottom or the top with more free room for landing drones than the interior of a huge plane. But still... too slow and easy to take out of the air. :>

It would feel more like Protoss carrier if they would use huge Zeppelins for it. But then again it wouldn't be of much use anymore, as they are slow and rather easy to get from the sky.
  15. Not really at all, tbh. But I like this... more or less subtle story thing about the player becoming the next king. I am here for finding a cure for the curse, but somehow everyone is driving me into becoming the next king. Usually this stuff would make me think the writers forgot the games main task and just totally went off the road with the story, but here I actually believe that it's done on purpose. I am a little bit worried about the endless respawning mobs in DS1, though. DS2 had some parts where I honestly had to "grind away" all the mobs first, before I was able to take on the the next boss... Oh, and on another note... The pursuer was one of the hardest boss fight for me first, and now I am playing him like a fiddle. Did my reflexes really get this much better? Jumping his attacks feels super easy now. He doesn't seem that fast anymore at all (it felt like madness when I first encountered him). Now I even feel brave enough to take on the two of them encounter at drangleic castle.
  16. I can feel that I am slowly getting tired with Dark Souls 2, so I now ordered Dark Souls 1... should arrive in a few days.
  17. So I will have to wait EVEN LONGER, because they need to be signed first... at the end of the month? :D Guess that will make it 2015 then. Shipping from America is an additional 3 weeks journey.
  18. That reminds me about my special edition boxed copy that *still hasn't arrived* yet. This is pretty embaressing for inXile / the boxed copy publisher, imo.
  19. Metacritic with a different name?
  20. This thread is fueled by misogynie.
  21. This is just too dumb. PS: I think he looks awesome with sick tats and I like that they haven't gone all super serial with suit and tie and crap. /Edit: Just like that guy the last time with his mohawk hair.
  22. Posted this on 11th October. One month later and I am still playing DS2. And it is damn great. :>
  23. It shows that these folks are smart. Trying not to get dragged into this mess is the best thing they can do.
  24. So gg is right-wing and anti-gg is left-wing now?
