New Scientific Discoveries, Part Deux
Well, if we are in a simulation, then I'd say my player is incompetent and I want someone else.

What are you playing now?
You can skip The Pursuer until later, though you can find an armor with a fancy cape after beating him. To be fair, he is the hardest boss until Velstadt (if you skip the Belfry Gargoyles, who are optional). Tried to ignore him for now, and walked to that lighthouse whatever area with the huge whatever monsters. Now I can beat maybe two of them if I keep calm, but then that's it again. Also I totally really, really, really, really hate all the backtracking in this location. There is no fireplace around, so everytime I die, I've got to walk that loooong way from the city down the tunnels and further, just to get beaten up by the huge whatever monsters again. That's draining my motivation a lot right now. The mobs aren't that hard, but you totally have to learn the movement and stuff, and I totally lack the required skills with controllers. Maybe I should buy a truckton of crossbow bolts and lame it out from the distance, in the hope to see a new fireplace at some point. This game really is addictive, but I just hate that "learn the maps" kind of stuff. Also a part of me is yelling "just quit that shait" all the time.

Still doing Dark Souls 2. Can't believe that I am still sticking with it. Just beat the last of that giants boss monster. It actually wasn't that hard. But the next boss right around the corner totally pwned me of course. Meh. I like the look of the armors so far. They look heavy and stuff, which I love quite a bit. Hopefully I am going to find something fancy with a huge cape or fur or something later. Coz that's how I usually roll.

Dark Souls 2 is fun for as long as I have a full health bar. As soon as I've died a few times and it is reduced to 50% it's just a pain in the arse.

Just bought me some huge tower shield. Starting to like the game. A game that has badass tower shields can't be that bad, no?

Dark Souls, yeah. Sorry. :> I don't have a box, just downed it via PSN, because I am lazy. Thing is, if I died again before picking up my stuff again, it is gone (the souls). Think I've lost like 2000 or what souls in the beginning already. Since then I am laming it out with grinding the hell out of everything. It doesn't exactly help that I suck at playing games with controller. So more than once I've died already just by falling from a cliff or doing some crappy button presses when in combat. Meh.

Trying some Dead Souls 2 and... it is annoying the hell out of me. Seriously. It's a huge grind and if you do a wrong step the game forces you to repeat everything again. Ehw. I don't mind hard, but this feels unfair at times.

Drama in indy gaming and games journalism
Actually, this whole thing must be a really huge and happy fun park for every serious internet troll who sticks around. I mean, I could just post some angry rant about anti-GG somewhere, then a bit later with a different account, I post some angry rant about GG somewhere else, etc. And by the looks of it, further fueling this "conflict" seems to be pretty easy too. It's like a troll paradise.

So the solution was to wear it down. Meh. My middle finger joint is cracking now when I move it, by the way. It annoys the hell out of me, and considering that I broke my middle hand and not my finger... I have no idea how the hell that happened.

I am wondering if all this talk is racist against white boys. I mean, it all sounds like you should be ashamed if you are a white boy. :>

Damn, welcome to the arm/hand self-crippler club of the Obsidian board. We should make badges or something like that.

Am I the only one who hates the controlls in Alien Isolation as of now? Walking around feels... strange. Also interacting with stuff like the terminals feels like I am playing some horrible console port.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Yes, in german it is pretty much "1st (of) March" etc. I hate the american way of time, because usually on random websites, if both numbers are < 12, I often never know which one is day and which one is month. Blessed are the websites that write the full month name.

Van Buren: A Fallout RPG Adventure
Of course, but this isn't the case here. Modders rarely charge for money anyway.

Van Buren: A Fallout RPG Adventure
What is this with people always assuming Zenimax / Bethesda would C&D everything? I am not exactly the biggest fan of them, but damn, their stance towards modders really is very positive. As far as I can remember, the only project where they asked modders to stop was that Morrowind to Oblivion port. Here the modders copy&pasted all of that stuff over to Oblivion, which obviously is not ok. Especially if this means that Morrowind won't be required anymore for playing the game. In any case, if in doubt there is one simple rule: Don't post about your mod over at the Bethsoft fora. Then the moderators don't have to remove your stuff and tell you to please stop. As for the Fallout stuff: We worked on FOnline since 2009 and never in all the years we heard any complaints from anyone over at Bethesda. It simply didn't matter for them. But if you ask them first... Well, chances are high that they prohibit it, because that's what they need to do to keep their property and copyright stuff in line.
