I've started a new game of Fallout New Vegas and it is still awesome. Unlike Fallout 3, which bores the hell out of me as soon as I see the main menu screen.

After the news broke out, they are probably getting swarmed by horny men.

Watched the first season of Orphan Black. Was pretty good, imo.

Anyone wanna share some popcorn and watch the Sims 4 train wreck?Lexx replied to Longknife's topic in Computer and Console This way you miss games like Alpha Protocol, by the way. I think AP is one of my most played games of 2010. I played through it like 7 times in a row.

Wasn't it said that the "real" Oculus version will be released somewhere around this christmas? If so, then I'll guess it would be better to just wait a little longer and get the real deal, no?

‘Virtual rape’ hard to track in online gaming, police sayLexx replied to ktchong's topic in Computer and Console It's pure bs. No idea how they got the idea to report about that stuff now. We have people teabagging each other since online games exist, after all.

I'll guess most simply think that "if I am fast now, I'll make it. Nothing happens to me." It's happening all the time here.
-
The good thing is that they can do pretty much everything at this point in the story and it would still somewhat fit the setting.

The biggest problem, imo, is that most cyclists around here don't have a driving license. They don't know the traffic rules and they have no idea how a car driver feels like when seeing other cyclists. They do whatever they want and think that car drivers need to take care- which obviously is a really stupid thing to do. And man, I could facepalm everytime I see a cyclist getting really close to a huge truck at the traffic light. It's like they totally don't care that the truck driver simply can't see them in that position. Long story short... If you want to use your bike in public traffic, then god damnit, learn the traffic rules and apply them with a little bit of common sense. Yes, car drivers are stupid too every once in a while, but my personal observation is that cyclists are exactly the same.

The contribution women make towards gaming developmentLexx replied to BruceVC's topic in Way Off-Topic Oh god, I am beginning to hate this male / female stuff in games topic. Like, a lot. In the end I just want to play cool games. I don't need a political message or w/e. I really don't care about it. Especially because it seems to be impossible to make it right for everyone anyway. Like that hooker thing in GTA... Should Rockstar remove hookers from the game? Would that help? Probably not.

Oh god, I loved the dinosaurs. Especially the scene where you were riding on a dinosaur while the dinosaur would sing you the song of his people. It. Was. Awesome. Then again, it would have been even more awesome if this would have unlocked a dinosaur you can summon like a car, then you ride the streets with it whenever you wanted to. Damn.

Got the same problem- my mothers birthday is in a three weeks and I have no idea about presents.

I so much want to play this, even if it's turning out to be just a gimmick or something.

If I remember correct, then Angry Joe criticised the stupid ai in Shogun 2 too, though. I agree with most of the flaws, but I like the setting and graphics (yeah!) just too much to really care a lot. And like I wrote, many issues have been dealt with in recent patches. The last patch even polished up the siege battles very much, which were really, really, really bad before.
-
Indeed. But Rome 2 has been improved drastically with the last patches, so I'd rate it by how it is now and not how it was on release. If I remember correct, Shogun 2 had a bad release too (didn't every TW game?). I never played Shogun 2, though. Not a fan of that samurai stuff. Btw. I always felt intrigued by TW: Napoleon too, but the worldmap is so bleak and hard to look at that I could never really play the game. Kind of a shame. Especially the battles on sea *looked* awesome (but played bad... sadly like in any other TW game). All in all, I am waiting for the next Rome 2 dlc. Can't be so long anymore till they announce the next one. And I am hoping it will somehow involve Egypt and Cleopatra timeline. :>

The only thing that is bugging me is how Zoe Quinn is all like "you must be like this and this or you are a filthy rapist" and then does exactly the same. Based on her words / laws / whatever, she would be a rapist as well. It's the very hypocritical shait that annoys the hell out of me here, and not that vidya game journalists are usually very bad at being journalists.

When the game was released, I seriously read a book while waiting for my turn. By now they have increased the ai turn time drastically. It's much faster now than it was in the beginning. Also the dlc worldmaps are a lot smaller too, with less ai, which also results in a very fast turn time. I played the game in multiplayer with a friend too. The waiting time (even the reduced one after a million patches) feels extremely boring for me, even with voice chat on. It's not even the time you spend with waiting for the ai, but also having to wait endlessly for the other human player... and if that person likes to do the combat encounters all the time, while you just want to get something done... And then of course, that person is going to lame out the combat encounters, which makes them even longer... Well yeah, I won't ever play such games in multiplayer anymore.

I could never get warm with Medieval. The setting simply never interested me that much... Rome was pretty much the only Total War game that I played a lot. And I mean really *a lot*. Only Rome 2 came close to this again, heh. Damn, it's a great game, imo. You just need to be able to overlook / live with the flaws that every TW game has....
