I can't remember Dandelion being a playable character in TW2. But we did jump into the roles of some other minor characters every once in a while- and it felt super annoying, imo. I didn't liked these parts at all. I was like "damn, can I get back to the real game now?" The Witcher 3 thing sounded as if the other character will be playable for longer... Though, of course, chances are ok-ish that it will be the same as in TW2.

Well, adopting it now would be super silly. AoD is very advanced and it just wouldn't give any real benefits to them. It's a pretty good rpg / adventure game, by the way.

So I've heard that you won't be playing as Geralt all of the time. My guess is that Ciri will be playable too. Kinda sux, as I only want to play as Geralt. Guess they need to create a bridge for future Witcher games.

Dunno. They were able to use many assets from Age of Decadence, which saved them money and time in any case. Also they share developers, which also means less time (and money) spend on people who first have to learn everything.

I actually kind of hope that when you finish the main storyline with Gat, that you'll be able to continue the rest of the game with your original character. As cool as Gat is, I still like the stupid face of my hero more. After all........ ........... ........ ... He is the hero Steelport the universe deserves.

Well, you get even more powers now... Demonic powers. :> I don't mind it. Driving cars isn't exactly what made the games fun to me.

So does that mean I should not yet start playing?

It's pretty much this. You see a friend playing a game and check it out. Then you might or might not buy it. Though, you can get the same from watching youtube videos, imo.

Played some Ryse on the console that is my pc. It took me a few hours before I figured out that the quick time event colors are actually the button colors of the xbox controller. lolz. Now many things make a lot more sense to me. When I first fiddled with the game I used mouse + keyboard and I couldn't stop but going "what the heck do you want from me?" at the tutorial text popups. The graphics are really stunning. Even on low graphic settings it looks way better than most other games. Now if just the combat would be more fun... IMO the game fails a lot due to tedious and unfun combat. Also the story is stupid and I've got no idea from where the developers took their roman history knowledge (probably all the Hollywood movies). There is so much wrong in this game... It's almost as if they slapped everything into the game that random folks would connect with romans. An emperor with the name Nero, the main character must be a Marius, everyone is running around in Lorica Segmentata armor (of course pimped with modern age style details), ... Meh. This game could be good with some changes here and there. The way it is now, it's just mediocre at best. Graphics simply don't make a game.

I'll doubt it would be console only. A console first, pc version later release would still suck, though. Mass Effect 4 is pretty much the only BioWare game I'd still would play.

Never liked Star Wars. And that new sword looks stupid. Star Trek is much better, by the way. :>

Finally finished Alien: Isolation. It is a good game, but the final ending... meh. Wasn't that good. Going for the DLCs now, I'll guess.

Yes, I can understand this. Still, it's too much, imo. If the alien is everywhere, everytime, it looses the scary part. The player is getting used to it way too fast.

I was mainly running through these parts. Also it helps to save up as many pipe bombs as possible for a later scene... Thought I would finish the game this evening, but guess what... nope, it's still going. Had at least 3 encounters that easily could have been final boss fights, but in last minute they stopped being boss fights. I mean, it's still a cool game and I still want more content, but this specific story should be done already. All the tense feelings are getting drawn out of it this way. Oh, and I think the alien is running around waaaay too much. Instead of silently hunting its prey, it is like STOMP STOMP STOMP I AM IN THE VENTS YOU WONT GUESS THIS STOMP STOMP HEY LETS TAKE A FAST LOOK OUT OF THIS VENT OH I BETTER GO BACK STOMP STOMP. It's too often / too fast. And again... I probably wouldn't even have noticed it, if the game would be a tad shorter. Damn.

Agreed. I could really need the ending credits by now. Especially all the android stuff annoys me. They aren't really that much fun and they make me feel like the game is trying to pretend to be a first person shooter now.

They need fewer and instead some real wolf group that is hunting you. Right now they are nothing but brainless drones, drifting around randomly. My first time in The long Dark and I survived over 15 days, then the gameplay started to bore me- you always do the exact same stuff all the time.

Yeah, it was a huge disappointment. Some time ago I've read a writeup from someone with a slightly alternate story version and it sounded really good. Makes the real movie even more sad...

Yeh, the feeling of being able to beat the enemies pretty much made Dark Souls for me. At first I wanted to rage and quit and all of that, but now I love it. On the other side, I don't feel motivated to start a 100% fresh character, though... as leveling up still results in a truckton of grind, unless you are so good with the combat system that you won't take any hits. /Edit: What I also like is this old knights kind of stuff. Cool helmets to wear, etc. like this: You can pretty much look like a cool gladiator, if you want to (well, at least in DS2).

I am so pissed off from this. I want a real addon for Rome 2, but instead we get a new full price title in 3 months that almost looks like Rome 2 again. Also don't even bother with the screenshots, they are doctored pr shots anyway. This has always been the case so far.
