  1. To be honest, everyone who gave him money kind of deserved it.
  2. Yeah. It's a thin line, though. Yesterday due to bad luck or w/e, I've lost two good heroes. I could have cancled the quest before, but I was close to the end and if I had cancled it, there would be negative effects again + even more stress, resulting in me having to chose other characters for the next dungeon that haven't "recharged" enough yet to be really effective. Also with the lack of money due to the cancled quest, I couldn't "recharge" the current heroes. So if I fail in the next one as well, which is very likely due to the not-top-fit heroes I would have to chose, then I am up for even more bad shait in the future... If I am still able to play much further with all the shattered characters anyway. I know that's what the game is about, but it's loosing a bit fun for me in such situations- becaus one single random event just influenced my next 3 or 4 dungeon runs in a bad way. They need to tweak the game a tad more and add stuff like stress relief when finishing a dungeon, etc. Something to counterbalance all the negative stuff a little bit. Then you still get broken characters, but at least you can still somewhat continue and might be able to pull everything around again. :> Damn, in the end I am just pissed, because I lost my warrior woman. She pwned so many enemies, and then because of one stupid masochist trait + failed healing + bleeding she died at the god damn endboss of the dungeon. The endboss died in the next turn and I was able to exit the dungeon....... I took care of her so much and then BAM, gone she is. /Edit: I agree with what others have said.. The game isn't hard because you are so bad at tactics, but because it is so very random in everything.
  3. Still Darkest Dungeon. Started a new game and did some things different this time. Got a much better run so far, but still lost a few heroes, which pains me a lot. Later in the game it probably will get really hard to level up the noobs. Have to say, for my taste there is a little bit too much random in the game. I can try to prepare for a dungeon type, but chances are still 50:50 that everything will go down the ****ter...
  4. I actually wish that Darkest Dungeon would have gamepad support. Then I could stay on the couch while seeing my heroes getting ripped to shreds. I am too sick right now to stay in front of the pc... :/
  5. I like my tablet. Not using it for any gaming, because I hate the slow touch-controls, but for everything else it is great. Right now I am planning to get rid of my old sound system and instead hooking speakers up on my tablet for all of my music needs. Also I am using it a lot to skype with my family (I don't see them in person very often anymore). Oh, and now I can be super lazy on saturdays and stay in bed while browsing silly websites.
  6. Well, then they get my money not before it appears on GoG or Steam. Too lazy to recharge my credit card.
  7. Is there a PayPal option available yet?
  8. In case someone missed: http://www.overkillsoftware.com/thehypetrain/ PayDay2 "hype train" event stuff.
  9. Yeah, I did it now. Feck the additional 100e. I don't want to exchange it anytime soon anyway, plus, Asus has 3 years of varanty- if the card breaks, I'll send it in and let me get a new one. Next thing I would upgrade is the CPU again, but I don't see this happening anytime soon as well. For now it should be enough to fulfill my needs. Best part is, that I can now hook up up to 4 monitors. I love em multi monitors. Especially since I've placed a hdmi cable from my pc to my tv. It's just so damn useful. Oh, and I love w-lan too. If I could, I would hook up my toaster to my w-lan network as well. If everything works as intended, I should be able to stream my pc to my tablet as well. Right now it's already possible to stream music from my NAS to my tablet- most awesome. Great times we are living in.
  10. By now I am actually toying with the idea to increase the amount of money to spend... The Asus Strix GeForce GTX970 looks good to me, but damn. Do I really need that power & price? I mean, the next pc games console ports probably won't need the fattest hardware either. And if the last console generation is any indication, then it shouldn't for the next few years. Most important to me is that I can plug in at least 3 monitors (2 on my desktop, 1 tv in my livingroom) and ofc Witcher 3. Right now I'll have to switch one monitor on and off all the time, as my current graphic card only supports 2 monitors at once.
  11. I am currently running a "AMD Phenom II X4 945 4x3.00GHz AM3 Box". I think it's still pretty ok and I don't really want to spend money on a new one right now. A friend suggested me the GTX 970 as well, but I don't know if I feel like spending this much money on a graphic card right now. Meh. Especially because from the experience I made in the past 5 years... my graphic cards are dying after approx 2 years. /Edit: 200€ to 250€ sounds like a good price for me. As far as I can see, the 970 is at least 300€ to 350€.
  12. Like the title says. I want to upgrade my shait, and as Witcher 3 is uppon us, I am thinking about a Geforce GTX 770. Now to my question. Currently I have this mainboard. Anyone can tell me if a GTX 770 would work with that thing? I am mainly concerned about the bus type. My hardware expertise is super low nowadays, which makes me unsure about all that jazz. If my current mainboard is unable to handle it, then what else should I look out for? Though, I am not exactly tensed to spend another 100€ on it... Thanks in advance.
  13. I should play this.
  14. Bought Darkest Dungeon yesterday evening. Yeah, still Early Access, but looks pretty solid already. Right now I suck at it, but I love how this affects my heroes. Each of them feels very unique to me already... with all the issues they developed by now. It seems I need as many heroes as possible, though, so I can cycle between them with each try at a dungeon. Also I kind of always run out of supplies or get damaged too much before I can finish a quest. Not really sure yet how to break out of that.
  15. Is it our already?? I want to play it so hard. Damn.
  16. And then they stopped being survivers and started being dead instead.
  17. So much sexism in so little pixels.
  18. "and is a nod to the passion and dedication" To me this name sounds more like endless crunchtime for the developers. :>
  19. I noticed a few times already that people seem to like to refer to her as "jewkeesian" or similar. Guess people are idiots.
  20. Is it playable already or the same early-access thing as with all the other survival games? E.g. after half an hour you've seen everything and then it's just rince and repeat?
  21. No idea if related or not, but I thought it was funny. Also I haven't posted in this new thread here yet, which I have now done. What a productive day this is.
  22. Maybe her writer changed.
  23. I am still pissed about the Monkey Island remakes. I think they are both good looking and I don't even mind the voice over... but they ruined the (non-gamepad) controls and you are unable to skip dialog without switching to the original version, which made them both impossible to enjoy for me. What a waste of money.
  24. That reminds me... I totally forgot to continue playing that MGS game...
  25. It's not like I played The Witcher for the awesome combat mechanics.
