  1. And here I was, hoping to learn more about reptoids.
  2. Now that the islam thread is closed, what will I read and care about all day long now?
  3. Maybe it's some form of fish-eye sight, where everything looks bigger than it actually is. I remember games like X used this. No idea about this here, though. In fact, I actually hoped the landing on planets would be a simple cutscene / autopilot flight, because now it seems you can fly around the planet and see the wast of... nothingness similar to the planetary landing in this new Elite expansion.
  4. I just noticed you now have to pay $39 to get the game. I'll guess this also helps with people not backing the game. It's a lot easier to spend some $15 on a project that might or might not be good than $39. The $10 pledge is kinda laughable, imo, unless you can't get the first game cheaper anywhere else and really need your name in the credits of the second game which nobody will ever really read and care about.
  5. Nay, ain't my type of game. Also it looks like ships always move on a 2d plane? Thought this game would be in "real" 3d / on a z axis, etc.
  6. The question to me is, why should I buy Squad when I can have the same with ArmA3, but better?
  7. I had the same feeling with South Park and Dungeon Siege 3.
  8. What do you need working TVs for if there is not tv program? Please tell me there are no tv shows....
  9. Looks like Will Smith was the only one smart enough to see the world doesn't need a sequel to this movie.
  10. Playing Door Kickers right now. I've spend money on it when it was still in development and then waited for a real, full release. Game has become pretty good over time. Actually I'd say it currently is the best tactical police game available... well, not that there is much choice on the market. Though, I totally hate the multi-level maps. You can only pre-plan the first level- when using stairs you'll have to pause the game and do the next plan. Meh.
  11. While I see the point of these changes, I can't shake off the feeling they would annoy me very much. /Edit: "Economy overhauled: Like in the books, Geralt will always be poor. You want that new custom armor you just found a schematic for? Sure, but prepare to have it cost you. Things cost a lot more now, and crafting new armor isn't a simple matter of 30 gold." This is a thing I never really liked in games. From reading this, I imagine it this way now: You'll never buy / craft expensive armor, because you feel the next better armor might be right around the corner.
  12. What about Act of Aggression. It sure has flaws, but I think it's one of the better RTS games of today.
  13. It's the flag on the back of it. Ofc it is not 1:1 the same.
  14. Hahahahahahaha, Scarlett Johansson as Zoe Quinn. I mean... I don't want to be an ass, but seriously, how does that compare.
  15. Btw. does anyone here watch Z Nation? In a few episodes, one of the main characters wears a duster that looks awfully similar to the one Ulysses is wearing. The Murphy wears it for at least two episodes. I'd say that's a hell of a coincidence.
  16. /Edit: Wrong thread. Woops. Plz delete.
  17. Alpha 2.0 is now out for everyone, apparently. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/15106-Star-Citizen-Alpha-20-Available
  18. God, I hate these "historically inspired" quests. If someone would ask me what I would really not connect with a Fallout game, then it would be "historically inspired" quests. This Minutemen stuff- okay, but why the hell do they also need to have laser muskets and wear old ass clothes? Subtlety, that's something nobody at Bethesda knows about.
  19. Anyone else would have done the same shait. Really, it wasn't much different with Gerhard Schröder.
  20. Yeah, didn't really liked the ending that much. It did felt a bit weird compared to the rest of the movie.
  21. It's not really that easy. As far as I can see, the engine doesn't really know when there is a roof tile and when there is not.
  22. Just saw Horns. Totally forgot this movie existed. Pretty good one, I think. At least one of the few movies I've seen lately that didn't made me want to stop after seeing the first half.
  23. Btw. How are peoples opinion on the radiation/sandstorms? I thought they are obviously inspired by the various fo3/fnv mods that add such a thing... And I totally hated it. Can't see a shait and they are way too frequently appearing. Also npcs give a damn about it, ofc.
  24. As far as I can remember, raiders started attacking my locations *after* I increased the defense. Before that, nobody ever cared to bother me with "defend the town!" stuff. But the game doesn't even have skills.
  25. This reminds me of the one short story... I forgot where it was, but wine and stuff was mentioned as well. Geralt and Dandelion were together in it as well. Damn, have to re-read all the stuff again. I forgot too much. /Edit: Not the short stories, but "Die Dame vom See" / Pani jeziora, no idea what the english title is. The screenshot names are giving it away: Toussaint and the castle Beauclair. Cool.
