Fallout 4...
Looks like a bug with the lod. It's clearly the low quality model on your screenshot. So either something wrong with caching, lack of memory or if it happens to everyone then something is borked with the generated lod of that cell. Does it disappear if you save & load there? PS: The excavator site looked pretty cool. Just sucks that once again they did nothing good with it and just turned it into yet another combat dungeon...

What if someone else releases a crack in the meantime. That would skew the data again. I mean, it's not like they are the only ones doing cracks, no?

What You Did Today Thread
Probably because the described behaviour really doesn't sound normal to a lot of folks. From all the people I know personally, I never heard such child-stories.

Wait, there are people who collect gamepads? I already hate it a lot to just have to switch between Xbox and PS3 controller and then people buy all of them on purpose?

What You Did Today Thread
Holy f ball, man. Just read a first part of the posts at #226 and man... It kinda makes me feel very glad not to have children. Honestly, I have no idea how I could hold up with that if it would happen to me. /Edit: Probably would try something like Bartimaeus wrotes. Maybe helps to check out some therapist or something.

What are you playing right now?
Just got a cutscene in MGS5 that I hadn't seen before.

Damn. I really don't like the normal Warhammer, except for the skaven part. And the skaven in Mordheim really make me want to buy the game.

In case you haven't heard yet, the real life "town" Nipton, that was the inspiration for the same location in Fallout: New Vegas (and got razed by the Legion in the game), is up for sale.

Personally I never liked Red Alert 2. Didn't liked the setting, didn't liked all the lolz and didn't liked the bonbon graphics.

Can't you download Tiberian Sun + Addons without Origin? I remember all the games were released for free a longer time ago. I've downloaded them all back then. PS: I find it impressive how good Tiberian Sun is still today. From all the C&C games, it's probably the one I'd play the most. Back when it was released I felt kinda bummed, but if I play it now... Maybe that's because back in the years I wanted it to be more like Red Alert.

I didn't know graphics of lego games are looking that good now. Are the other lego games the same? (never checked them out)

Well the screenshots in that linked article all look pretty bad.

Man, I haven't played this game in years.

If you could live in in any other country?
Well, I wouldn't want to live anywhere in Canada. For example, never in one of these backwater villages without internet and where you need a satellite telephone to keep contact with the outside world. :>

If you could live in in any other country?
I would vote for Iceland or Canada as well.... but here comes the problem: My mood is too easily affected by darkness and cold. Which is a bad combination for countries like Iceland or Canada. :/ Usually I can't even stand the short winter days in germany and this year we had like what, 3 days of snow (the snow itself isn't the problem, it's that everything is grey or dark).

What are you playing right now?
Played a bit MGS5 again yesterday. Tried my hands on one of these stealth-only / extreme missions. Have to say, the D-Walker is kinda growing on me now. I felt it was useless / annoying when I tried it first (D-Dog was better in any situation), but now with a few more upgrades, etc. the D-Walker actually is a pretty neat toy. Can spot at least as good as D-Dog AND serves as a vehicle at the same time. Got some optional weapons with quite a punch as well, though, I as a usually stealth-only player do not really benefit of it (the dual Zzzz-pistols are way too unprecise). /Edit: A shame that MGSO is so mediocre. If they had done a coop-mode it would have been much better than this (team)deathmatch-rush gameplay we got instead.

Anyone tried MGSv online part on PC yet? I played about half an hour and it was... Ok-ish, I'll guess. Don't really see a point in it, though. You spawn and run to the checkpoints, trying not to die and kill enemy players. I've played with gamepad probably vs mouse and keyboard. Wasn't that bad, actually but I still think I've got a huge disadvantage due to it. Man, it would be so much better I they had some real coop missions etc. Imagine running through Afghanistan or the Africa map with some other players. Now that would be something I'd rather have.

10 millions is kinda successful, but if everyone stops playing after a few weeks... I bought Evolve on release and played it a few hours. Gameplay felt not bad, but the game had like 3 maps? But hey, you could spend money on character and weapon skins! Anyway. I think the real reason why I quit playing was... Well, after first match as a trapper, what do I read I the chat? "worst trapper ever" :D multiplayer games are crap unless you play with friends, and as I was the only one I know who had the game, that pretty much sealed it.

The Kickstarter Thread
This looks interesting: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2043603103/planet-nomads And looks way more realistic (as a game that can be done) than this other thing, No Mans Sky or whatev the name was.

Iran comes in from the Cold
Man, this is like the beginning of the Armed Assault 3 background story. :D

What are you playing right now?
Agreed. Would love to play it with gamepad on my damn tv. Pretty sure the game would work quite well that way.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
It's true. I was like wtf as well, because I don't like some of their settings. Thing is, the menu *looks* like it should be possible... Clicking the lines just doesn't do anything. So who knows, maybe it is a bug or something.

What are you playing right now?
The new homeworld feels slower paced to me, which I actually like a lot. The reason why I stopped rts is mainly because they felt too stressful to me. Too many clicks, too much fast micromanagement, etc ... It's really not how I like my games to be.
-
What are you playing right now?
Played the new Homeworld for about 2 hours now. I think it's fun. So far it offers a really fancy atmosphere with the way everything behaves, the radio chatter, the cutscene setup, etc. Really makes me feel like the captain of a huge crawler. PS: I love how everything places itself around you if set to defend the crawler. If you move somewhere, let everyone go into defend mode and just move the crawler.
