Yeah, but like I said- so far I had one of them, and then never again.
-
If it isn't that much about horror, then I might as well try it out.

Run up to them and use fulton. Usually you should be able to get close to them with running a circle, then get to them from behind. If no other unit has seen you yet, then they won't know if you are there unless you run up directly from the front. I usually fultoned every combat vehicle. There is one later mission where you have to stop 7 russian tanks... I fultoned all of them, and another 2 tanks in the following bonus mission(ending). :> The normal APCs can be rendered unable to drive if you hit them once directly in the back. This makes them very easy prey. The battle tanks usually stop for a short time if you hit them- perfect moment to use fulton. Combat Deployment is where you use Battle Gear. You build nukes on the resource screen. But it's not just available there? I mean, I once saw a mission where it appeard on the right side under my units, but most of the time there is just generic stuff. Appears to be quite random to me.

How do you even build a nuke- I haven't figured that out yet. Also in one cutscene it was said I should give the order to use the "Battle Gear" in combat, but again... till today I couldn't figure out how.

Man, I love the ideas behind all of Frictional Games, but I just never can finish them. Such games, I just can't play them for long. Really makes me wonder how I was able to finish the Alien game... Then again, guess that one was so long (and repeating after a while) that it wasn't so scary anymore...

Well, the rumor is (keep in mind I haven't played the game) that the game slipped many deadlines and was quite overbudget, which is what caused the Konami/Kojima split, so it seems to fit. Yeah, but truth told-- I can't really see why. If at all, I'd say the cutscenes are what made the previous games so expensive, but MGS5 features nearly none. The two huge gameworlds would be another thing, but truth told, they don't look *that* unique if you check the details... doubt it was eating that much money either (or let's say more than in the previous games). Maybe it's the technical stuff in the background- the custom engined that drained the money so hard. Otherwise I really don't know. All in all, it's a damn shame. Would gladly buy any DLC and stuff that expands the game as well, but I feel like we won't be getting anything like that. The overbudget thing might as well be the reason they've made us pay for the prologue and then for the main game and now also for MGO... Heh, making people pay three times for one game.

You don't really have to grind the materials, though. From normal play and side-ops you usually get around needed materials all the time. Later in the story missions you'll also be able to send out soldiers on missions like materials gathering, etc. I still can't get over how bad the ending is... especially how unfinished it feels. Really annoys the hell out of me.

Never noticed such a thing. Usually they go into full alert mode as soon as a soldier is calling HQ and that's it. Most of the time you can prevent that. Especially after getting D-Dog, doing stealth-runs became extremely easy, imo.
-
Just keep in mind you don't have to shoot everyone. Try to sneak behind enemy soldiers and take them out without guns. You can also gain intel from interrogating them, which in return gives you more points as well.

It is partly for the story and mainly for MGO. Also after the end of the game you can play singleplayer with your face instead of big boss.

But he is talking about "ultra nationalists". Besides, this is from a tv show called "Frontal 21" - most of the time this show is sensational bs and nothing else. They get their views from making people angry.

Finished MGS5 after playing it for 77 hours. Menu tells me I completed 53% of it- most of the rest is boring unlockable stuff, which I most likely won't bother with. The story is... well... let's say it didn't impressed me at all. Besides, it felt cut-off (which I now found out might be, because they've cut the third chapter for whatever reason) and still many questions remain. Also - while I like the idea of some of the missions being available with different rulesets (total stealth, etc), I totally hated this mission recycling in chapter 2. Yet another element that makes the game feel rushed and forcefully prolonged. It's a shame, because otherwise the game is pretty good. Just feels like it could be even better... I mean, damn. What about a little more variety in the enemy setup? I haven't seen a single surveillance camera except once in one of the mentioned recycled missions. Or the drone cameras, which you can develop by yourself for your FOBs. Or why is there only trucks and jeeps on the roads in freeform game mode? There is one mission / cutscene where you see a truckton of russian tanks and other assets--- never anywhere else in the game you see this many enemy vehicles. Also, why can't I deploy with my snatched walker gear? Only because I have this stupid D-Walker buddy? Bleh... I could see some DLCs being done for this game, especially due to its open mission structure, but sadly this probably won't ever happen now with Kojima gone.... tl;dr - game is good, but some things make me angry the way they are, because they easily could be much better.
-
Is this the game everyone was so hot about? :D

People writing about Trespasser in here, I can only think of this... ...and wonder why people started playing it again.

Watched the first episode of Mr. Robot - actually pretty good so far. Certainly will continue with more episodes.

Brandenburg is the best part of Germany. Trust me, I know what I am talking about, as I am a Brandenburger.
-
I've expected another Max in the last sentence. Got disappointed.
-
Finished chapter 1 in MGS5. Looks like chapter 2 intruduces missions from chapter 1 with different rulesets... Hope to be able to snatch more tanks now!
-
Are you using mods? I don't remember ****pits from X³. /Edit: The male variant of chickenpits. If you know what I mean. This forum is censoring in hilarious ways.
-
Oh, but I hate that I can't use the fultoned walker gear later. They just disappear. Sux. I hate the D-Walker as a buddy and rather have it under normal vehicles.
-
Still doing MGS5 like crazy. Fully stealthed many missions now + it becomes a hobby of me to snatch vehicles. Especially tanks. My vehicle counter is going up fast. Just sux I can't Fulton gunships, even if they are on the ground. :>
-
For the most part, motherbase is a huge wiener party anyway. I mean, I have a staff of over 600 men and barely a hand of them are females. :>
-
Are Skaven in? If they are, I might maybe consider this game. If not, then meh.
-
Yeah, I can see her being very useful with silenced tranquilizer rifle. Sadly, I would need to spend qui(e)t some time with her to unlock it first... meh. Unsilenced rifle is really not in line with my playstyle. I like to super-stealth every mission, and enemy alert is not good for that. Already happens often enough that I make it till the near-end of a mission and then some stupid thing happens and the enemy will sound the alarm. :> (though, I got *a lot* better by now. Probably also because of D-Dog. His enemy spotting ability is so very useful.)

I finally got the Quiet companion in MGS5 and... lel, this is so stupid. Kojima really went fully over the top with this bs again. Besides, she really isn't very quiet if you got her as your buddy... actually she is very annoying, imo. D-Dog is the best / most useful companion so far, imo. Haven't really tested the D-Walker yet, but if he can also spot enemies in a certain radius around you, he might as well have a little more use than the other characters.
