I hate Star Wars, but would probably play this.

Same with Half-Life² back in the days. Everyone hated on it. Hard. But also everyone bought it, and also Counter-Strike. And now we have people defending Steam like it's their messiah. That's just how it works.

Ripley doesn't have the same amount of muscle mass as SIE.

SIE made me realize I kinda like strong woymen, especially if they are armed with a big machine gun.

Eh, going by that, there have been far worse game dev kickstarters, imo.

I never finished TW1 because the loading times were killing it for me. Seriously, it was unbearable. TW2 improved this a lot.

I was pretty sure it is not allowed to seize a pet. Did some reading and it turns out there are - as always - exceptions. One being that the value of the animal is "very high" ... that means more than €250. BUT even then it can be not allowed if the family makes it clear that seizing the pet would hit them hard. This probably wasn't the case here and considering the dog apparently needed lots of medical attention later, might seem like they aren't too sad about the dog being gone from them.

I'm curious what kind of psychological effects such a treatment would have. Like, what if it makes you extremely depressive, because you now know all the stuff you still can't do / everything that is wrong with everything / whatever I'm just making stuff up right now. Does just being more intelligent really improve your life? I remember folks saying that it's useless knowing everything if you can't apply knowledge in a meaningful way.

Why would you not play a shooter on KB+M, peasant? Because it was made with gamepad in mind in the first place. I started playing games like this a while ago. Played MGS5 with gamepad as well, etc. It also comes with the added bonus of me sitting on couch and playing on a big screen in great resolution... something you can't do with the PS3. It'll always be a blurry mess unlike any game running on my PC to my TV monitor. /Edit: About the console crashing... Red Dead Online crashed my console at least once per day and I think even the singleplayer crashed my console at least once while playing.

Funny, I never liked any BoyoWare games outside of Mass Effect. And I only liked Mass Effect, because it was some sort of space opera. Tried to replay it again last year, but quit after 5 mins, because apparently PC version doesn't support gamepad or whatever... I don't remember. Wouldn't want to play the games with keyboard and mouse anymore, honestly.

I couldn't watch it yet either. Probably tomorrow. It's killing me.

Peta is garbage. Not because of "militant", but because they really don't care about animals. About the Bison, wouldn't be surprised if it's just good old corruption. Like that bear a few years back. None of the hunters were able to track him down. There was panic in the media for days. Then the politicians decided to allow the bear to be shot. Guess what, after that decision, it took them barely an hour or so and he was dead. Who would have thought. you do realize such an explanation makes situation worse and more baffling. instead o' some bumbling bureaucrat panicking and giving the okie dokie to shoot a protected animal 'cause o' misplaced fear the critter could be dangerous, you instead suggest willful malfeasance. oh well. at least the rat were saved. HA! Good Fun! I wasn't trying to make the situation seem better. /edit: I'm still pissed about the "bear-situation". Same with wolves and other rare animals making a comeback to germany- everyone wants to shoot them / have them gone again. I understand why, but that doesn't change how much it sucks. This is one of the points where americas huge size is a big plus. Germany is simply too small / too crowded to really support such animals in non-enclosed areas. They are bound to stumble over people at some point. Hell, no matter where you stand here, if you throw a stone in a random direction, you'll hit a road, a house, or a windmill. Civilization is in every corner and the walled off forest areas are a joke (in size).
