  1. Isn't MCA specifically asking what would we like to have funded in the hypothetical situation of "Obsidian+Kickstarter"? I'd say the question'd need to be changed if the case was that Obsidian had a game they wanted to make and they were asking if we'd like to fund that specific project. I'm sure, if this ever comes to reality, the game they deside to make, will be a game they want to make. I'd think they either have something in mind and this question is just to compare their idea to ours to see if we'd actually be willing to put some money in it; or, that they have a concept and want to know how we'd like to see it made; or, that they're just plain curious.
  2. No nostalgia factor involved with me, TB is not an obsolete relic of the yesteryears despite not being offered much at the moment. I just happen to like that sort of gameplay much better than RTwP, and I absolutely loath slowmo stuff. And there really are too few of 'em turnbased games in the market.
  3. I agree with the magic, elves and dark fantasy part. 2D or 3D are both fine with me. But turnbased is something you rarely see these days anymore and that's something I would very much appreciate having.
  4. It could bring some interesting results if the setting and themes were about something like Game of Thrones meets Philip K. ****. edit - Oh, jesus... I can't write a persons name without it being cencored?
  5. 1. (Personal highest regarded choice) - A Fallout style original RPG in scifi (not in space, though), cyberpunk or steampunk setting. - Isometric (default) camera (but with options to zoom in and out, and camera rotation). - Tactical turnbased combat. - Partymember control would be nice but I wouldn't hold it against the game if it was not there. - Properly complex and rewarding characterdevelopement and overall rulesystem. - Multipath multisolution quests. - Lots of dialog. - Choices with actual consequences. - Moral ambiguousness in the setting and stories. - Adult themes handled in adult manner. - Themes of political powerplay, racism, religion, violence, etc. - More down to earth plot (no nameless random chosen one saving the world from an ancient evil). - No minigames (in the sense of lockpicking and hacking in New Vegas and Fallout 3), but all actions being done by character according to his/her skill. ...in a nutshell. Serious business. :D 2. Another game in the Planescape setting. This time with well done TB combat. 3. Another Vampire: The Masquerade game.
  6. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 still to be developed?
  7. This was... unexpected. Can't say I'm overjoyed (I'm not sure how the "fun" of South Park could translate well into a game). Oh well...
  8. ...Prosper. The "almost" David Lynch of gaming industry.
  9. Publicity stunt of the decade.
  10. Just about to finish Hitman:Bloodmoney for god knows how manyeth time. And found it harder than previously, only got SA on few missions as there was always a witness or two I never noticed.
  11. Well that's disappointing. Hope they'll churn out a good game with Tim and he then realizes that his most rewarding future lays with Obsidian.
  12. Few questions, if you will: Lots of snipers and camping? Lots of bunnyhopping? How's the pace on the MP maps? I'm about to upgrade my rig sometime later this year and I can finally see what's all the fuss about directX10 and 11, and as a sideproduct I'll be able play BF3, so that's why I'm asking.
  13. Official Skyrim Live Action trailer
  14. The most recent passable shooter title was, imo, Serious Sam HD: The first encounter.
  15. It's not. Steaming pile of ****. I had such high hopes when I heard HoMM VI was in development but it turned out to be worse than the previous incarnation. How so? I haven't found much to gripe about it so far (the random map creatures - especially in hotseat games - scaling badly and thus offering no challenge at all, overgenerous economy, and the information overflow one gets from map items being the biggest ones thus far). It's not Homm 3 by a long shot, but if they correct the balance issues I'd say it does indeed well top Homm 5 (which wasn't too good).
  16. I haven't inspected the scans yet (just took a quick glance), but I thought it was about adjusting the HUD opacity. That you just make the compass transparent, and propably everything else too. Or alternatively about merely making quests inactive, so that the compass doesn't follow them. I could be wrong, though, but that's how I understood it.
  17. HoMM 6. Trying out some hotseat goodness (if it turns out to be like that) before going for the campaign.
  18. This is great news. Now all we need anymore is mr Taylor, mr Anderson and mr Boyarski.
  19. Bethesda just loves their crabs. What was their last game that did not have some form of crabs in it?
  20. That's just depressing.... I seem to find lots of gaming news these days to be sighworthy downers. Wonder why.
  21. Detroit-Windsor area.
  22. Just started a second run of The Witcher 2... and man, they really nerfed the difficulty in the opening chapter. I kinda liked it when it kicked my ass constantly and actually required me to pay attention, but now it's just a "whack-through". Don't know how the rest of the game fares after all the patches, but it didn't quite start off with a bang like the first time.
  23. No, it'll be an RPG version of Sweet. I played that game a lot when I was a kid. As did I.
