  1. Maybe it's just me, but that looks like a mess. A hyperactive scifishooter, nothing really uncommon (or too interesting) these days.
  2. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/tgs-11-e...-scrolls/720774 It seems the questmarkers and questaid got an expand (beyond the clairvoyance breadcrumtrail spell and questcompass), as there appears to be a floating questarrow over an NPC head. Also, another video with bashing some bandits: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/tgs-11-e...-scrolls/720773
  3. Unless I'm mistaken attribute increases have been dropped from the game. Your attributes don't change, only your skills. A huge improvement on the completely broken and unbalanced leveling system of MW and OB, imo. There are 3 'attributes' left to increase during a levelup. Health, Stamina and Mana (or was it magicka, or something, I forget). Others have been cut out completely.
  4. To me it looks even worse. Not "by a long shot", but worse nonetheless.
  5. Hm...wonder what old series they'll revive next ? You should say "reanimate" instead of "revive".
  6. *Groan* Sometimes the dead are just better left dead. The world really doesn't need more generic FPS games. Indeed. Especially not old classics re-imagined as such.
  7. No. A white character speaking like an old black stereotype would be weird, not normal. And just as questionable. Not really what I was going for, but true words nonetheless.
  8. It's the RE5 debacle all over again, well, not quite but it smells like it. If it's black, it's racist. If it's white, it's normal. Maybe they should cut all black people from games altogether, to not accidentally offend someone by depicting a character in any given way... but then it would be discriminative, and again racist. There's no winning these things.
  9. I think most people are impressed because 1) the faces actually look decent and 2) after Oblivion's inflated faces, anything's an improvement. Looking at the pictures more closely...it looks like the people of Skyrim haven't heard of bathing, or at least, bathing regularly. They look like they haven't bathed in weeks/months/years. Speaking of rugged looking faces... Some people have been busy making a joke of it already:
  10. The second one feels much more clunky and somewhat disorganized. That, though, may be, because I never got the CD version working as it always crashed at the main menu, so I haven't really gotten fully into it yet.
  11. I wonder how the new weapons fit in with the already existing ton of 'em. Is there any difference beyond aesthetics anymore? Can there be while still holding a decent balance?
  12. There's a patch of facial presets for each race in Bethblog, and the links to the pics were compiled in the forum: I'll opt out from commenting because I wasn't too impressed... though that may just be due to being tired from work and feel indifferent. Maybe I'll shiver in awe tomorrow. Anyways, a definite improvement over Fallout 3 (but you can see the similiarities behind the other, imroved detail - like how the mouth curves on some characters for example). Nice pics. Beaten to it....... by 3 minutes.
  13. Steam does exactly same, and even publishes those details, and I don't see anyone crying foul over that. I guess it's cool to hate EA, but not Valve. I'm not too savvy with the technical details on these matters, nor am I hating anything yet (except for cabbagesoup), but someone at other forums put it out that Steam only monitors what you do in/with Steam but doesn't touch non-Steam matters (outside of the optable surveys). Any truth to that?
  14. How old news is this about EA's Origin spying on the customers PC use?
  15. HoMM 6 Official Demo Released And from my short tryout on a skirmish map, it appears quite good.
  16. I wonder how much the huge reticle (and its timed "something" - the orange outlining) will allow for misses. Or is the timed thingie similiar to AP's timed crit reticle (was it for criticals or just straight aim? I can not remember). Anyways, looks as expected. A bit rough, but it'll see some polishing still, I'm sure.
  17. If her arms get any skinnier, the cease to exist.
  18. For your home browsers.
  19. Either murder or worriless unconcerned happiness.
  20. But isn't that one of the "TES strengths" (at least since Oblivion), having unexpected NPC behavior? I can imagine the radiant storytelling having a guy looking like that posing a quest of missing nailclippers to the player.
  21. I've been quite critical towards this game, and likely continue to be so, but these character models do look really good - especially the argonian.
  22. I'd have to agree with this. I'd say it's a problem only if it is "in your face". And to be quite honest, I don't see the big issue here. So there are some dumb**** adverts around, does the gameplay suffer if one see "Coca Cola" on a bulletinboard? It's not a thing to elaborate and enjoy, but I see no harm if it doesn't feel forcefed and if it can be ignored as background fluff. I vote for Chris Priestly on this one, whether or not he even did anything for DA2.
  23. Somewhat relating to the horror question above: Has there been any interest at Obsidian to create a sequel to Vampire: Bloodlines -- or just another Vampire: The Masquerade game.
  24. It's the Elder Scrolls.. of course it's "level up by doing". I wonder how the "learn by doing" works with speech checks. Spamming lower req checks until higher ones become manageable?
