  1. Have you seen all the polls ? I don't think 'we' do, based on that, heh.
  2. Nothing, I've given the most I'm comfortable with.
  3. This is hilarious: Well, I guess that saves Obsidian from having to dedicate 4 NPCs to being love interests. At BSN - .... and I suddenly feel a disturbance in the force. Isn't that your kin, thought that comment (said in jest I'm sure) would elicit joy from you. I do agree with one of the comments there where the romance would be depressing and grimdark, heh.
  4. It's odd but amusing how they never let it go. One thing they should do is just disable polls in this forum, heh. Oh and for a snicker - http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/371/index/14235800/8#14245252
  5. Can't really think of all that many mature romances in games. I guess Guybrush-Elaine counts, at least.
  6. Should be a good feature, could have them just take off and try to flee the map preventing you from having to go and hunt them all down if they're shattered enough. Them surrendering is also a nice idea.
  7. Humanoid has the gist of it. I suppose you could hear of the impact of what you did without mentioning you if it was of note to the town you were in or even wider after a believable time has passed.
  8. Hey, we're entitled to tell them as without our money they'd have no project. So really, they owe us. Super thin skinned guy starting the thread with a plea to not get wound up is a plus too. In a way, can't wait for the buzz about this to die off while they work, might get less of these "suggestions" from people.
  9. They have Nexus for $3.99, hm, $1 less than I paid for it on Steam - I feel ripped off.
  10. Here's hoping someone doesn't come up with "I don't have the time". Rogue Trader game fell apart like that, le sigh. Maybe he just found we sucked at RP'ing though
  11. Another day with the untermensch I label as 'clients', depresses me further that they make more money than me. But a fun night of Powerpoint slides, then a game of some sort.
  12. Ah, such drama. Then again I'm jaded about my company (refuse to say that "we" nonsense)
  13. I do like some of the new characters, Hammerlock does have a few good lines especially with the mutant varkids. That quest is a pain though, what with Mordecai helpfully killing stuff you need to stay alive for a bit.
  14. Sweet, we can throw our guns at the xenos ?
  15. But after that, there'd be not much to it, I'd imagine. Would be nice to see death animations based on the context of the attack though - so turn to ash, freeze and shatter, gibbed, etc.
  16. Story of Borderlands, Marcus and the machines do really have 'meh' gear though, I agree. I wish my Sabre turret could aim, but it is nice to see it pump 22 rockets into a midget.
  17. Hardly snide, unless you've got monomolecular thick skin. It's kind of amusing you'd take that stance, given your assumption about the 'anti-romance' people and RPGCodex. You're right though about it not invalidating points, but comments are generally at the BSN not really accusing people from BSN, like yourself, of anything. As you being a victim, come on, if Obsidian is going to put romances in or not, you think this forum has much bearing on that (well or much else, to be honest) ? And ignore features are for the weak
  18. Just read the thread in C&C, I think there's enough on that. I guess there was the series boiling down to three options, things didn't seem to matter much re: the ending, space magic and the bizarreness with the Normandy crashing. I tell you, just make romance a stretch goal. Might as well extort the people :D
  19. I suppose you could just have classes, so that giant ogre type fellow's jerkin wouldn't fit your human PC (just an example), but seems like this is going too far towards a simulation than needed.
  20. You really like defending BSN, heh.
  21. I should have become a game developer, I could put a clippy helper in, with a shrill voice saying "PRESS E TO..." They should just have the manual, not a problem if it's digital either - if you need to check it that much, maybe take notes or print out the relevant sheets.
  22. How is that a failed example, heh. And you'd be a poor bodyguard, have to be detached and all. It's not outlandish to find it creepy that someone that "watched" you while you're sleeping and have no clue what they're doing. Although I suppose this depends on if they've broached it with you.
  23. Well, try doing that in the real world and see how well that works out for you.
