Saw a client email today telling our sales guy "I'll suck your **** if you send us the proposal..". Amazing people we deal with. Planning a weekends of studying and reading, although that'll fall through and I'll end up gaming and getting the urge to stab people over the Internet.

Eh, that quote's not as conclusive as I'd liked. Does sort of label romances as the low hanging fruit of the whole companion relation idea - which is true in a way, people liking you to the point they'd be willing to jump your bones is pretty easy to make. Also, nice to see Merin's still being passive aggressive as always (but he's a coward so is ignoring this ) -
Meh, I beg to differ, but it does at least make a good pen to keep you lot in, heh.

Well if the only thing you want to post about is romances and relationships between PCs and NPCs, not much more to it then. Then again this forum is, at this stage, rather meaningless. Thinking of 18 months of retreaded conversations and ideas is also depressing, heh.

Maybe just not talk at all ? That'd be an improvement, or at least make tracking things a little easier in this place.

I just wanted to give you a reason that has not been named already. There are plenty more hidden in this thread already, but since i have to repeat them over and over I try to vary it a bit. Short version: You can either participate in the brainstorming for making the game better by thinking about cultural diversity (in regards to beauty) and a realistic, interesting, non-standard depiction of women in games or you can do, what a few posters like NerdBoner and Jasede have done for pages now: Try to bring this down to a discussion about political correctness, accusing others of whiteknighting and, in short, spam this thread. I'd like to see you included in the discussion, though. Your choice Oh great, more moderator wannabes. That reason has been brought up already, I'm not exactly a fanboy of the company, but I do at least trust them to not mess up basic things as "making decent characters".

Well given that this isn't fully voiced, it makes avoiding this issue easy - I'd imagine making a Michelle Thorton would have pressed their budget. Then again, maybe they just wanted to tell a story about a male protagonist in those games.

I am wondering how long they can keep spinning up about this, though. Your bitterness at games past aside, when you say you want the world to react to your PC being female, what kind of reactions are you thinking of, out of curiosity ?

It'd be neat to have an out of shape character, can't run for any notable period of times with out huffing and puffing.
