  1. For SupCom 2 I think you can only build something if you have the resources to build it, rather than relying on the rates to sustain construction. So you need X mass and Y energy for Unit A. May be wrong, but it just seems like making it like every other RTS. I'll wait and see, I might be wrong in my assumption. Some of the battles do take place with civilians or civilian buildings around, it would be cool to fight in a map like the FA intro - basically a giant city - I agree. Not like TA, where...well every civilian was killed a long, long time ago
  2. The troop launching is kind of weird. The economy changes are disappointing from what I've heard (heard SupCom's economy was complex...right). I don't really see being able to raise bases anywhere as a drawback, in MP it makes for a very fluid (of sorts) battlefield.
  3. It should be ok, I don't like the change to the economy where you have to have the resources before you can start to build something, makes it like every other RTS as opposed to just managing rate in vs rate out like in TA and SC.

  5. We'll bring Sajuuk to bear, or something. Can't see them denying us the sight of that fleet blowing up in a giant battle or from a hit by a Plot Cannon. On a side note, that was the ending to Dune ? Bleh.

  7. Loved the Westwood C&C games. Wonder if they'll make RA2 free, way too much time wasted on that. The Mammoth Mk II was useful like the Mammoth in C&C, good for taking down a defended base but that was it. Disruptor tanks were the best.
  8. They'll probably transform into a ship mode. Either that or have engines in the soles of their feet.

  11. Recently found Caesar IV is installed on my PC so I decided to play that for a bit. Always loved this series, some of the changes from Caesar III are better (don't need to evolve housing, just three types) but at the same time cause annoyances (having to wall in equites housing is annoying). Course, I could actually -plan-.
  12. When I first saw those my thoughts were that they were going to use that as some "final solution" to the organics. But who knows maybe they have to kill a star to travel (like the Shivans, but less menacing I guess).
  13. Probably have FTL drives or something. Or maybe there's -another- Citadel they can use.
  14. Eh, any remake would have to be dumbified and made 'cool', so they might as well be the devil.

  17. Well, here at least, government always makes these things out to be the Great Satan, think they're looking at laws making it illegal to smoke in your apartment, it's already so to smoke in your car if you have kids present, but always likes the tax revenue. So I find it funny.

  19. Think they only die if they're not "loyal" or aren't a tech expert. Jacob bought it that way during my first playthrough, other two I went with a loyal Tali and she made it.

  21. Not convinced, but the industry will have to have a boogeyman, heh. Will have to actually find some figures that state their 'loss' on those though.
  22. Meh, I can wait. Will have SupCom 2 and probably other, better RTS's until then. Maybe the storyline will be interesting, and there'll be a workaround for that "always online" stuff- yeah SP achievements you can share with your friends!
  23. Second hand sales haven't killed them in the past, not sure why it's bemoan-worthy now. Was funny to see second hand game purchasers get lumped in with pirates as 'scum' on another site, hehe.
  24. They're just like Orks in 40k. Staple to have a warrior race in sci-fi settings, no ?
