Well those are two games I'd never expect them to draw things from. -
I just wanted to give you a reason that has not been named already. There are plenty more hidden in this thread already, but since i have to repeat them over and over I try to vary it a bit. Short version: You can either participate in the brainstorming for making the game better by thinking about cultural diversity (in regards to beauty) and a realistic, interesting, non-standard depiction of women in games or you can do, what a few posters like NerdBoner and Jasede have done for pages now: Try to bring this down to a discussion about political correctness, accusing others of whiteknighting and, in short, spam this thread. I'd like to see you included in the discussion, though. Your choice Oh great, more moderator wannabes. That reason has been brought up already, I'm not exactly a fanboy of the company, but I do at least trust them to not mess up basic things as "making decent characters".

Well given that this isn't fully voiced, it makes avoiding this issue easy - I'd imagine making a Michelle Thorton would have pressed their budget. Then again, maybe they just wanted to tell a story about a male protagonist in those games.

I am wondering how long they can keep spinning up about this, though. Your bitterness at games past aside, when you say you want the world to react to your PC being female, what kind of reactions are you thinking of, out of curiosity ?

Well, if you're using Firefox, adblock the images, simple. Depends on the avatar though, some sort of weird epilepsy inducing one would probably get nixed by a mod.

Specialized ammunition and grenades would be a nice addition, and you having to make them, but oh well. Lost a bunch of guys due to a car explosion, had to abort and evac the 3 survivors, so my current game looks like a failure. Shame too, I got a Major and got the Squaddie bonus for all new guys - which actually sucks as I have 8 or 9 snipers.

The messages he left about US foreign policy might indicate he's not actually a conspiracy nut that much and that's just being played up to make him sympathetic. Wonder if they can sue him for damages though ?
