  1. Well at least so casually as a form of stress relief, perhaps.
  2. Well, wasn't that bad. Sadly I couldn't force myself to finish it (oh if only I could defend places with the 'militia').
  3. Hopefully it's more fun than BIA was.
  4. As mildly amusing as EA imploding would be, highly doubt that's going to happen anytime soon.
  5. Well if everyone acts like a teenager, I suppose that might be expected. Our heroes hopefully won't be sitting around waiting to die though, think of a combat team rather than some civilians tempting fate. I'd definitely hope a team trying to save the world would try to not fraternize, weakens the unit and all. Heh, maybe they should put in romances but no successful ones. So the NPC always dumps you.
  6. Well took one of you lot long enough to mention entitlement, and I really believe that guy you quoted actually existed. In the area of cracking a game you bought whether you just don't like the DRM, too lazy to keep your disc in the drive or have lost it, what exactly is your problem with that ? You're definitely not ripping off the developer or publisher of money. But the best pirating reason I've heard was for it as an extended demo, I guess all the statements in the infos work
  7. Well that's pretty saintly of you to rebuy a game after losing the product key. Just seems a really strange case to label this activity as piracy as the company already has your money. Well I guess you're denying them a second sale ?
  8. Digital products work a bit differently, though. What exact evil is he committing by cracking the copy protection on a game he owns ?
  9. Well, no. But just getting a No-CD crack will help him with one of his problems.
  10. Well, if he cracks a game that he clearly bought, not sure what he's stealing there.
  11. Overplayed their hand
  12. Probably because you've seen two, you've seen them all ? Today is part 2 of convincing a client that you can only pump so much through a hose before it bursts, but to no avail.
  13. Who knows, they're not Canadian, here for University. I guess they're just the generic 'kill the infidel' types.
  14. I think it was mainly SWAT officers and National Guard roving around, not regular Army although the Army did contribute some bomb disposal teams and helicopters (I think, at least recalling from the scanner chatter). Boston PD only has one, which initially I was surprised at but it is expensive to maintain and how often do they need one. As for the terrorist plot in Canada, couple of guys were planning to derail a passenger train but they got turned in with the help of the community in the US and Canada thankfully.
  15. Well you mention bomb sniffing dogs being present, that's part of security and nothing sinister about it. Still for evidence that they did do the bombing, it's a bit much to expect them to show that to everyone as wouldn't that mess up any prosecution ? Always one annoying thing with events like this, so much conspiracy talk to sift through. But at least Beck delivered :
  16. What's suspicious about having bomb detection as part of the security detail for a large gathering, though ? So what do you think the real situation is ?
  17. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-04-23-darksiders-and-red-faction-sold-to-nordic-games Good haul for Nordic. Wonder what they'll do with SupCom, if anything
  18. That was Stardock, though. I guess HW has a special place in people's hearts, so some FNG to the RTS area isn't inspiring. Like Obsidian getting the Freespace IP, or something
  19. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/190985/Gearbox_Software_has_acquired_the_Homeworld_franchise.php?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+GamasutraNews+(Gamasutra+News) "There are no concrete announcements for new games in the series, but Gearbox said its first priority is to bring Homeworld 1 and Homeworld 2 on "today's leading digital platforms." So, great, Homeworld on phones and tablets. (Well maybe). Hm, wonder how it would have gone if Paradox got it.
  20. Well...I guess it's...grimdark.
  21. You play the odds with getting "calm professionalism" with cops. Still, they have body armour, so that counts for some (although maybe not for much against a PKM). Weird for the cops to be kitted up in camo like that.
  22. Hm, well Scandinavians might work as Eldar, now who plays the other races ?
  23. Majority ? Hm, probably, think there was one of those horribly designed polls long ago that indicated that. Thinking about that, if the party is on a crucial assignment, I'd probably hope no one would initiate some romantic nonsense with one another - needless distraction from the task at hand and trying to fight alongside one's romantic partner probably diminishes effectiveness (think fraternization). I suppose it could be 'immersive' to some kinds of people.
  24. Got the BL2 season pass, so plodding along with that as my friends should be getting it soon so more fun co-op action awaits.
