  1. Ah thanks to Serbia for beating Canada, media can now stop bombarding me with news about the team.
  2. Barely counts a development though, was just amusing to come across when skimming a Reddit thread full of people who spend too much time following the war.
  3. The Challenger getting wrecked is real news, I guess it's a slow day - https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2023/09/05/ukraine-has-lost-its-first-challenger-2-tank/?sh=1076a28c65f9 Not even sure who that piece is written for, people panicking over one tank ?
  4. As a political move, sort of picking low hanging fruit. Reznikov wasn't very popular though, it seems. Is just one account but Hauer's reporting has been good (rare person that gives a toss about Armenia) https://twitter.com/NeilPHauer/status/1698458192575877435
  5. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/ukraine-leopard-tanks-spare-parts-1.6953968 "It's been quite a quagmire on multiple fronts, unfortunately," he said. "Personally, I thought that the war in Ukraine would actually make all these people a bit more solution-oriented in their thinking, because it's a war at our doorstep." Kind of naive for a defense expert, really.
  6. Watched the Star Wars prequels to pass time on the weekend. Now to the despair of three redundant status meetings at work
  7. Yes Bruce we get it, you read the Codex. But haven't seen endless justification from Sarex and whataboutism is something a lot here don't have an accurate view of. Bringing the US' past actions up isn't that if you're pointing out how bull**** their moralizing is, after all. Just is funny to see that accusation pop up, I guess xzar_monty is an Inquisitor.
  8. Redoing Railroad Tycoon 3, the Germany scenario is still tricky for me. Funny that following it is the Great Britain one which is an absolute joke.
  9. You see, if you're not always posting how evil Russians are innately, then you're pro Russia to him. Could be 70 RPGs that weren't armed. You'd think a tank crew or other commanders would get binned for getting into a situation where 70 AT weapons were fired at you.
  10. Our craptastic air show is back in town, F-35, F-18s and I think some F-16s. Meh, we never get any interesting or different jets.
  11. Ukrainian drones very active tonight. A lot less bull**** than the Kursk strike over the weekend that supposedly took out 6 aircraft and a radar, as there's footage of air defense active.
  12. Such is war "reporting", both sides do it. Could also be something as simple some random people on social media getting amplified by media. That article puffs up the L2 a bit too much though (the Abrams wank at the end is also great), it does have an ammo cookoff risk - Turks had a couple blow their turrets off famously as well, just to indicate possibility.
  13. Why are you reading propaganda though? I think both sides are being careful with their tanks, for Ukraine they have to be mindful of the Ka-52s. Most footage I am seeing is IFVs getting wasted. One depressing one was a Ukrainian BMP that ended up face to face with a T90, got blown to hell.
  14. It did show up on Friday, but I think another data change deceived me. Honestly such a stupid way we are doing filtering but eh.
  15. Caused a production issue due to ****ing newline characters of all things Damn text operations
  16. https://theintercept.com/2023/08/25/nsa-spy-dignity-respect/ “In recognition that SIGINT activities must take into account that all persons should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their nationality or wherever they might reside,” says the previously unreported directive, which was issued by NSA Director Gen. Paul Nakasone. "
