  1. Gamers still whinging about SJWs ?
  2. Or he is just being overly pessimistic for Russia. He's not a truth teller because his slant is appealing, after all. Seems mostly the retreat went well though, pro-RU social media saying mostly gear lost rather than people killed.
  3. From the RUSI report, found this funny. Although maybe it's just GLONAS not working "Interestingly, the Iskander 9M727 cruise missile – and this may be true of the others also – relies on GPS and GLONAS for its satellite navigation and is unable to receive BeiDou signals. The GPS is the primary navigation tool for the missile, probably because Russian satellite coverage over target countries is intermittent and because it is assumed that the enemy will not deny GPS signals over territory that they control."

  5. Hardspace is depressing when I'm pretty sure the corporate drone they send in game to motivate you says the same things I read in corporate mass mails at work. Granted they dont just shout "INNOVATION. COLLABORATION. SYNERGY. PRODUCTIVITY.." at us like he does in the game, but at least the game it's somewhat more honest in its distilled state.
  6. I, too, am elite for my disdain of mainsteam gaming.
  7. Grabbed Andromeda off Steam for $10. Probably will never remember to play it
  8. Nope, no need for Wi-Fi, definitely none for BT, have a sound card already so that matters less (my old Realtek bigotry runs deep). Just means I need a motherboard with a couple PCIe ports, I guess. The Fractal Torrent looks nice, will have to look at that.
  9. Yes, "just curious". But MW beats me to any pro-Ukrainian news, most of the time. Other than that the pro-UA stuff I see will just be T-72s getting blown up and such, and I try to not gawk at that. Kherson is probably good news for Ukraine, but not sure what's to talk about as there's a blackout of sorts about it.
  10. Okay, so sticking with the 5600 and with the MSI MAG-b550 Tomahawk (I've liked MSI in past and seems popular). Still not too sure on the case though, probably do need ssome 3.5 bays.
  11. Yeah, hardware prices suck here in Canada. Intel draft build is like $400 more, interesting
  12. $60-70 more, so about 3-days work for me. Guess I'll have to do this the right way, going component by component and being organized. Sort of feel like getting something more than the 5600 just for e-peen purposes, but probably will end up broke that way
  13. If only Zelensky had not listened to the members here.
  14. Lovely drama over the Monkey Island game. People flaming Gilbert and he's pouting over that https://www.pcgamer.com/monkey-island-creator-says-hes-done-sharing-the-new-game-after-personal-attack-comments/ People have been posting needlessly aggressive stuff. Not sure Amato helped things by referring to people upset about the art style as "retro fascists"
  15. Not all that outrageous, see conflicts in the third world over the years.
  16. Well as the thread exhorts us to live as if today were our last..... Kill your manager.
  17. Makes sense to, just there getting shelled, I guess that was practice for the Ukrainian troops. Not sure it changes much w.r.t the Black Sea. Appears the withdrawal from Lysyschansk is going well.
  18. For some reason I thought I had changed to a B550 board. I may not be upgrading CPU but probably will be replacing drives - in this new machine I'll be bringing over the 2 SATA SSDs and 1 HDD from the current one, or just adding more as I hoard stuff. Fair point on the case, picked that as I like my current Corsair and that one got good reviews and the cooler as everyone I know keeps talking it up. Roughly priced at 12400f build using everything the same that could be and it came up to $400 more, too.
