  1. Yes, the last boss is the Nameless One. Or did I misinterpret your question?
  2. Congrats obsidz. My pre-order has been sitting fallow for some time, and I'm looking forward to it!
  3. In case you hadn't noticed, people are a bit defensive about that comparison. Honestly, as far as the basics go, they're reasonably similar. They're both from the third person perspective, have guns, have various character skills, mission hubs, dialogue and plot-altering choices. They're WRPGs with shooter mechanics. There are plenty of things AP does differently as well, so it's not a clone, but anybody who doesn't see similarities isn't trying hard enough.
  4. I don't see it. No idea how gfaqs rotates them.
  5. What about non-responsive controls, lack of options(half the games don't even let you remap keys these days) and bad UI/HUD? Non-responsive controls- never something I've had many problems with, though maybe I just haven't played the worst offenders. Also, a lot of people mean "I don't like the controls" when they say this rather than an objective standard, not to suggest that you are one of them. Lack of options- graphical and performance stuff falls under the category I mentioned. Remapping controls, while expected on principle, isn't going to bother me personally a huge amount. I'm an excellent learner with good manual dexterity and large hands. Wait, what were we talking about again? UI - navigating menus with the keyboard can be annoying, though it usually doesn't play a huge factor in gameplay. HUD- I'm not sure what different information I need on my HUD as a PC gamer rather than a console gamer. If it's important, it should be there already, and its absence would be a game flaw rather than a port flaw.
  6. On another "holy **** AP is getting publicity" note I noticed an AP site skin ad on gamefaqs. Not bad.
  7. Usually, my biggest problems with ports are fubar multiplayer matchmaking and crappy performance/gfx, so at least one of those is a non-issue for AP.
  8. You could always get a brand new PS2 for the price of $100 USD, though I would only recommend that if you're interested in other games.
  9. For recommending Way of the Samurai in the AP panel at PAX. I just popped in the first game and have decided to get the rest. I may yet survive until June.
  10. Very nice. It's gamestop, but it's still AP running during 24.
  11. Personally, my expectations haven't gone up during the delay because I get the impression they've basically been sitting on the game since October. If the final product is polished, I will eat my words, but I doubt it.
  12. I'm excited about finally playing AP, it's just one of those things I'll believe when it happens.
  13. That's kind of odd that they removed the pre-order. I got mine back in September.
  14. What I would most like to see (aside from significant feature additions or a standalone campaign best suited for a proper sequel) are missions that further flesh out the CnC in the original story. It's hard to come up with examples of this because it's situational, but something like a different path through part of the game or a new hub with associated consequences later on. This would provide the "new" content that is pretty much expected of DLC these days, but also enhance the overall AP experience without just feeling tacked-on. Basically, I'd most appreciate DLC that makes the game better, not just DLC that makes the game longer.
  15. Not to nitpick, but it looks like the Bearded Thornton one was taken before the UE3 engine drew in high-res textures. Seriously SEGA?
  16. They know PC users will just pirate the game anyway. /sarcasm
  17. Also, the trailer was excellent. Kind of took me out of the cool spy thriller vibe when it cut to a shot of somebody awkwardly crouch-running though.
  18. In these troubled economic times, I believe the correct word is "furloughed."
  19. Note that the first issue he mentioned was "position" and timing for the release, then later claimed that the "main issue" was quality. I'm pretty sure that means the main issue was release time and the main excuse was quality.
  20. "Graphics remain pretty raw." Are there any significant plans to change that prior to release? Either way, I hope it's early summer rather than late. Otherwise I lose the release month pool.
