  1. Yes, though I can't say I've done it.
  2. Ugh, been there recently. You'd think a couple weeks camped out with Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls would be awesome, but the novelty wore off pretty quick. Get better dude, and enjoy PS:T . . . again.
  3. I liked it, but I may have to replay it at some point because I don't remember it making as strong of an impression on me as some people.
  4. MotB was good times.
  5. Finally saw the dwarf NPC trailer. Is that Steve Blum?
  6. That's a very interesting perspective, though I think Bioware might simply be claiming that DA is finally the mythical game that die-hard WRPG fans will consider on-par with BG2.
  7. Honestly, I don't know.
  8. In its desire to appeal to fans of BG
  9. Okay. I can accept that.
  10. *rages about delaying a finished game* Not that that's too unusual. Review copies of Dragon Age were out months ago.
  11. Fable 2 wasn't exactly the most challenging game in the world.
  12. Just looked it up, supposedly $7 for Grey Warden's keep standalone vs the extra $15 for the deluxe edition.
  13. You get one piece of DLC that, alone, would be cheaper than the deluxe edition.
  14. Out of curiosity, is anybody buying the deluxe edition? If so, why?
  15. I don't see how this is fundamentally different from other DLC.
  16. A blast from the past, I've had a sudden urge to replay God Hand.
  17. If you include Castlevania games (which certainly have lots of stats/inventory options), those probably still have an edge (at least in 2D). I'd say that, among games that the dev/publisher markets and presents as ARPGs, Demon's Souls easily has the best melee combat. Yeah. I was actually thinking of the first Genji game myself, as that had a system similar to DS for raising stats and getting equipment, but vastly superior melee.
  18. Just Dragon Age and AC2 on day one for me, probably.
  19. Kinda depends on where you draw the line between action game with stats and ARPG.
  20. You guys read the thread so that you too can complain, apparently.
  21. It is what it is. Suffice to say I will be personally annoyed if I can't survive the game with anything less than a full complement of Bio's typical run-of-the-mill NPCs, whatever the underlying mechanics that prevent it. As mentioned repeatedly in previous incarnations of the thread, I'm stoked about the game in general. That's different from being excited about every feature or lack thereof.
  22. You are if the combat is "challenging" and smaller parties cannot obtain the levels to succeed.
  23. IMO, you should be locked into neither a certain size nor composition.
  24. Well, there's solo runs, there's two-character runs, three, etc. You may ask "why?" but personally I've played through JA2 with team sizes ranging from one to 6, and each provided a different experience.
