  1. Did you miss the dual wielding SMGs? Or the punch-fu? Or the over-the-top character design? Just sayin . . .
  2. I will not rest until this injustice is righted. Or a major game releases and distracts me.
  3. Not very many. Maybe I wasn't a completionist, but aside from heavy weapons I only had 2 options in most categories.
  4. Based solely on the movies, I guess MA and toughness mostly. Maybe add in some tech skills to round it out.
  5. No. The game will simply release, and you'll have to travel far and wide to find it at a store
  6. Not sure what system(s) you own, but Uncharted 2 is kind of the gold standard for the stereotypical action game well-done.
  7. It's a perfect window to release AP before SC:C, but I don't think it's going to happen.
  8. Waiting for Mass Effect 2 to get released, boom actual marketing campaing and game out by April? Hope springs eternal . . .
  9. If the bugs are down to "almost none," it kind of begs the question "where is the game?"
  10. That's not an entirely fair assessment. If you recall, most of the trailers for the first game were cutscenes. Some of those cutscenes weren't even in the full game or misrepresented plot elements. Not saying it was a good idea, but I wouldn't base an assumption that they're refocusing the franchise on an early trailer in this case.
  11. Loved the first one, and while I don't expect the sequel to significantly revise the core game, another campaign for TW would be pretty win.
  12. GOTY! Also, finally, a game for OCD people. Did you see how precisely the game makes you stack boxes?
  13. I'm going to say maybe people are reading a bit much into the statement. My impression is that they are aiming for variety within the game more than a complete shift of focus.
  14. First game ever made was about hitting stuff. Seems like a natural progression to me.
  15. I think they already made a movie, it's called Blackhawk Down
  16. Actually, that sounds pretty cool. I think maybe the ICNC overstates the role of nonviolent action in order to justify their own existence and further their wuss agenda, but that's usually how it goes.
  17. Actual information? What is this, Quarter to three forums?
  18. That's the eternal question. Here's another one: I bet they've upped enlistment significantly in a time when the U.S. is hurting for troops. What if more responsible handling of war by the media meant compromising some aspects of the American middle-class standard of living most of us have become accustomed to? Would people be willing to sacrifice their big-screen TV for a more nuanced understanding of war? Their car? Their house? American culture is, IMO, built upon a complex set of components, and changing one seemingly for the better could have all kinds of other implications.
  19. Because peace games tend to be dull? And actually participating in war is dangerous? SO you're saying that somehow playing a compouter game somehow simulates the actual dangers of real war? Is that with the health pickups? Or the regen? Yeah, pretty much. Most video games attempt to offer people a glimpse into a life other than their own, whether or not it's a good simulation. Also, if you have a problem with glorifying war, chasing video games specifically is barking up the wrong tree. Movies and books on war have sold like hotcakes long before CoD 4.
