I ceartainly aren't suggesting that the game can be as restrictive as the code is intended, just to get that out of the way. It balances out the powers as effectively as possible and still makes the game fun. The code itself is rigid, using the force to guide you saber is not at all the same as directing it at your enemies. It's affecting you motions you are channelling the force through yourself, the act of transforming the force into something that can hurt your enemies "directly" is dark despite it's intention. Hence the argument's that oftn come about that a Jedi coul'd concievably pick up a hurricane of rocks with the force and rain them against his attacker's, but to turn the force agaisnt them by crushing them from the insides would be considered wrong. It's a question of how the Jedi view the force and understand it.

Sorry Silver but there is no line, if you use the force in offense directly it's dark side. The fact that the force affords you the skill to wield a saber in a offensive way is not the same as drawing on the force itself to strike at your enemies. Sometimes it gets ambigous, is to throw a rock at an enemy using the rock or the force? or is disabling an enemy so as to pass by him unharmed by choking him for an instant with the force an attack? But it has been made clear as daylight that to strike at someone with force lightning is dark beyond intention. Luke's actions in ROTJ where not the actions of a refined master. With more learning and experience he would not have struck him in such a way.

Yeah there was a brief mention of a female sith...

They also talk a lot about lightning for instance as a gross mutation of the force, the act in itslef despite it's intention being road to the dark side. You can't use the force as your weapon if you are a Jedi period. It is your ally and affords you protection enlightment and skill, but to use it to strike at another is the dark path.

Some Detailed Info Of Characters!
Azazel005 replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No spoilers there if you had been comfortably reading through all the threads here, if you had maintined a careful vigil over what you read at these forums you may still find some of that slightly spoilerish. -
Mandalore is definately Canderous!
Azazel005 replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Dude I think all that Mountain Dew has made you a little crazy Well if he is back cool, but if he is Mandalore not cool. -
My big gun, was a Soldier 4/Consular 16 I don't have the stats anymore but he was geared to very effective in saber combat as well as force. Played most of the game without a party on hard. With insanity, Kill and wave he was unable to be ganged up on by numbers and easily dispatched Malak comfortably in saber combat. Played most of the game LS but aggressive - finally falling to the DS on Korriban but began to swing back to light after hearing all of Jolee's story and finally refusing to fall to ultimate darkness and rejecting Bastilla (only just getting enough LS points to swing Solari and wear SF robes - close call ) He had so much FP it didn't matter what side of the force he was on even on the star forge he didn't run out throwing around crazy DS powers. He Rocked *hearts*

Mandalore is definately Canderous!
Azazel005 replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Just for the record, I loved Candy - He rocked. However hiding him as the Mandalore is a terribly lame piece of plot work. And go along with what Nuke said, Candy had began to change by the end of the game - the glories of war was growing weary upon him. Not the kind of Mandalore that I would expect. For that I am afraid he is demoted to janitor. Still love the guy and if he was just "Canderous" I would be happy to have him back. I don't want him back as the Mandalore though - it's pathetic. -
Mandalore is definately Canderous!
Azazel005 replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If Canderous is mandalore he better keep the Hawk spic and span, because he isn't leaving it in my game. -
It better be someone knew, that or "Starship Floor Mopping" better be a Mandalorian class skill.

The age old question has been answered
Azazel005 replied to Zach Morris's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Consulars are the guys, Soldier/Consular in the first KOTOR made a pretty lethal saber fighter as well as force wielder planned out right. Go Consulars. -
If it is Canderous, it will be so damn cheesy. I am gonna make him babysit the hawk if it is him.....

Yeah I think it's little odd that it's being kept a secret, makes me wonder if there is something to hide about. I personally hope it is not increased beyond thirty, 20 is near god like enough.

What Country Are All You KOTOR 2 Fans From?
Azazel005 replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Lucky you. I spent 2 months over there. Lovely city and country. Far better than where i am <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is rather nice, despite the torrential rain we have had this last week. I am gonna e-mail god about that though, we must have got his wires crossed giving us that crazy melbourne weather But Australia is a great place, you should all visit if you never have. -
I know I am definetly gonna start this game out on the hardest difficulty, I love KOTOR to death but it really is a touch to easy. I don't want to knock this game over in a week, so hardest difficulty is a great way to start.

We better get some info, *shakes fist* If you people can pry yourselves from the game long enough to drop out some info [] -
Again just from my loose memory of the adapted novels of the original trilogy.
-
I did that also for one of the games, I found it funny It should have played out in the game though... "Oh my God I can't believe your REVAN" "It's been my name the whole time?!" "Yeah come to think of it, the Jedi Council obviously didn't put too much effort in that whole memory wiping back story of yours"

*Not content hates waiting, hates living in Australia, is glad George Bush won you damn American getting Sith Lords before me bastards* I just want some more general details fleshed out, wouldn't mind a leeeetle section about prestige classes. Least they can give me seen as I have to wait all etertinty or till Feb or whatever. -
I am certainly not saying it is *needed* but I liked the idea of it and don't see it as entirely impossible. At least more so than having "the Mandalore" a figure that should be leading armies, just hanging out with me while I dragged him from planet to planet.
